Ah, I'm so jealous right now. It's pretty high up on my bucket list to one day be part of the Wimbledon audience (preferably during men's final but anything will do really). I'm not from Britain, just from Central Europe so that's a significant obstacle. Plus almost every year I have a work-related trip exactly during Wimbledon. The good thing is that I usually come back just in time for the semifinals ;)
Anyway, maybe one day my dream will come true. Until that time have lots of fun, internetakeover!

I'm going to say what I say to literally everyone who ever mentions Wimbledon to me: look into the Wimbledon Queue!! You can queue for on the day tickets, there are 500 for Centre/C1/C2, literally thousands of Grounds Passes, and it's a wonderful environment too! It's a relatively cheap way to go b/c - if you can time it right with transport - camping in the queue overnight for tickets (the best/most restful way to do it imo) eliminates all accommodation costs. Not so great if you don't like camping, I'll admit, and you can only get court tickets up until the quarterfinals, but I've never attended any other way and don't really intend to.

I wish you all the luck with your Wimbledon men's final dream, and hope your potential work related trip works out well this year, haha! And thank you, I'm sure I will have a great time ^.^

*breathes life into thread*

Andy made me cry this morning! I'm so happy I got up early on a Sunday to watch the entire match. He played superbly & was pretty darn focused (despite all his yelling during change overs!) all tournament. Now please repeat when I'll (hopefully) be able to attend a Wimbledon match or two next year, Andy. ;)

Who won Wimbledon again? I'm so lost, after my country is not among the best I stop watching tennis, but I still enjoy it a lot.

What I really like (unlike :D&P: hahah) is football, I hope one day these nerds play FIFA on the gaming channel just ironically. CR7 is my idol but my country won the Copa America (again YAY) and we are playing against Portugal, I love him and I will be sad to see him lose (I mean of course we are going to win we're the 5th best team in the world and we beat Argentina (sorry) twice and they're supposed to be the best so we're fine).

And yeah I love football and when I was little I had all the info of the country tournament and recently I went to every match of the local team (including one when it was rainning like hell).

;) I love sports! But not playing them hahaha

Andy Murray and Serena Williams! The tournament of my dreams, haha, and Serena's 22nd Grand Slam title so she's tired with Graf, I'm so happy for her. Really hope she can get to 24 or 25 so Margaret Court stops being relevant :sideeye:

Did anyone watch the Olympic Opening Ceremony last night? And is anyone planning on immersing themselves in Olympics coverage for the next few weeks? Can't wait for the road race and start of the tennis today!

Thanks! Not surprise there. And I only watched the ceremony when my country appeared (the beautiful Erika Olivera dressed as a huasa with the flag as a design) and everything I've known about it has been bad, robberies and stuff, also Tomas Gonzalez in gymnastics being totally crushed with the scores and the judges giving better scores to the locals (nothing against Brazil it just pissed me off because Tomas Gonzalez was incredible and he deserved more than that, he can even win gold if he goes to the next stage) but yeah, not interested in any way, I think after the amazing London 2012 I won't be able to find other Olympics quite as attractive to watch as other versions.
