I loved the new video I'm also glad other people had quality problems and it wasn't just me
I appreciate that they fast forwarded a lot; they played a LOT more than just 57 minutes and I'm glad they didn't cut any content for it, either. So thanks for that
I won't discuss spoilers yet so that other folk can catch up in their own time since it's late but yeah I'm a happy Undertale camper
Aww no end video sub cards to read jokes from OR a window to the previous Undertale video, woops boys

That was fun, some tense moments, but so many voices Got there 9 seconds after it went live, with 605 views. Refreshed on finishing and viewcount's over 11,000. Phandom works fast. There were a few cute moments, but seems if I don't make a note of them, I forget by the end Worth staying up for anyway

Quality vid- I like it best when they focus on game and not bants sometimes. This was def one of those times. A lot of funny moments, though. Especially with the glamburger!! I was dying!

End card sub bubbles are showing up for me now, Dan's was 'an actual napstablook' and Phil's 'no stigmatism' Enjoyed the video, especially as you said they look to have played a good 2+ hours and then fast forwarded through stuff, so no wonder it took a lot of editing! It's 1.30am so I am gonna have to sleep before I can form any coherent thoughts about the video really, other than:melon lord wrote:I loved the new video I'm also glad other people had quality problems and it wasn't just me

ahh thank you for the bubbles! I kept refreshing and going back but nothing was showing, but I guess it just needed timebluebox-away wrote:

Agreed, this was one of my fav undertale vids! Good vibes and I wasn't bored.violet-writer wrote:Quality vid- I like it best when they focus on game and not bants sometimes. This was def one of those times. A lot of funny moments, though. Especially with the glamburger!! I was dying!
Judging from the clothing I think this was filmed yesterday? Looks like the same outfits from the liveshow.

Haven't watched Undertale yet. Just excited my suggestion is the thread name.
Carry on
Carry on
What goes around, comes around
Good video! I have absolutely nothing to say. I just love how natural Phil seemed and how layed back they've been lately. It's honestly overwhelming.

I caught up on the Kinect sports video and I'm actually still laughing about how Dan slapped Phil, and then blamed Phil. Amazing.

I'm really bored with Undertale but that was a good one, Dan teasing Phil about shots and strippers was funny and Dan pls don't put your penis under a door
Are they far away from the end now or close? I want to know how the game ends but they're taking soooo long ugh

Pretty close to the end, but not THAT close. I'd estimate it'd take them atleast two/three more episodes to completely finish the game.fancy_nancy wrote:I'm really bored with Undertale but that was a good one, Dan teasing Phil about shots and strippers was funny and Dan pls don't put your penis under a door

I really enjoyed this Undertale video. Maybe it's because they were really focused on completing the game and not the bants/exploring. I am now excited to watch the next video. I've watched the pacifist ending and I am interested how they'll react.
I find it funny that Dan kept on bringing up the shots. I am unsure if he was salty that Phil was drinking while he was stuck editing. Or, he was salty coz Phil didn't leave the party with him. Or, he was annoyed that Phil was careless to drink with other youtubers who always take advantage of them. There are other possible reasons but Dan was not happy. I now believe Dan sounded off during the ls.
I am not defending Phil but Dan really seems to like to take charge of editing. If Phil came home with him, it wouldn't make much difference coz Dan will just do all the work. Might as well enjoy and socialize with other people. I really think at least one of them should look friendly/sociable coz they have alienated themselves for more than a year.

Well since they looked at jacksepticeye's vids to get an idea of what they had left (of the pacifist run), I just did the same and... if you start this video at 36:50, you'll be exactly where D&P ended today's ep:fancy_nancy wrote:I'm really bored with Undertale but that was a good one, Dan teasing Phil about shots and strippers was funny and Dan pls don't put your penis under a door

And can I just say: the fact that they filmed this either before or after their liveshow yesterday is hilarious but so stressful to me. Why do I keep thinking they have a bunch of stuff filmed? Like I keep assuming they've already finished Undertale and just need to edit but nope. I very much don't understand their schedule or planning but ok. Or I guess all the pre-filmed vids (some must exist right?1?) are being held onto for when Phil heads north for family? (Dan voice) These guys...
Thanks and have a great day! Oil me
Dan did seem off - he has ever since Phil got back from the wedding and his salty comments about the party and Phil's "you just need to trust people" makes it seem like they had a spat.Diyes_Celine wrote:I really enjoyed this Undertale video. Otherwise the video was good, even if they were off I enjoyed it more than the live show and with filming in a hurry and having a hundred other things going on I'm sure it has to be stressful. I just hope we get back the the cute part of gamingmas before it ends

I actually didn't think they seemed particularly off in this video, I really enjoyed it and they came across as their usual jokey selves for the most part.
I also didn't interpret Dan's joking about the shots as salty, at least not seriously. He was teasing Phil, sure, but I don't think it was that serious and I doubt he was genuinely upset by it. It felt more like an inside joke with more involved fans tbh, as casual viewers would probably have no idea what he was talking about. I feel like he was just lovingly teasing Phil and exaggerating how put-out about it he was, I highly doubt he was truly offended. I could be wrong though, that's just how I interpreted it!

am about half way through Undertale, am enjoying it too! Dan is putting in effort with the voices and making Phil laugh, it's nice. both are more absorbed than previous instalments.
the livestream was interesting to me, i didn't find it unpleasant and there were lots of nice little moments, mostly of them silly singing together and discussing things among themselves. Dan does seem a little sensitive or vulnerable lately, as he tends to get, and is defaulting to sarcasm and negativity at times - but actually I think he's showing mostly positive behaviour. throwing himself into gamingmas and visibly relaxing and enjoying the escapism, not dwelling on the fans asking him about danisnotonfire videos in a negative way, framing his responses to that neutrally/positively, criticising yt rewind and the brandcast things, but then qualifying why instead of being totally hyperbolic. as with Dan, there's always a spectrum or context that's a little different from say, the way you might judge the moods of someone else who is not him. yes I don't think he's doing super amazingly right now, but i also don't think he's doing horribly. he's coping and has a lot of positive energy reserve. i feel like i can tell all this purely from the times he isn't, as they've now become an exception rather than the norm - being a bit sulky and competitive in Kinect Sports, not apologising when he hit Phil accidentally, the emo tweets.
what actually stood out to me was Phil, in relation to Dan. at several points i felt like Phil was unsure of how to keep the mood light and buoyant, and wanted to lead and placate. like these:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5iQTey ... =phanshows
1.54 dan: you hurt me! phil: did I? why are you so sensitive? (big smile) dan: I have like very squishy shoulders or whatever the fuck that is... phil: sorry.
17.35 Phil cutting off Dan being negative about pokemon
20.03 dan: I genuinely think all the videos are really good. phil: good! of course they are, dan.
27.02 (uploading every day) dan: 'and its only totally ruining your life.' phil: no! its not...its fun. It's fun.'
34.10 dan: 'whats up with danisnotonfire, says john. umm, im making another video before christmas.' phil: 'i'm going to make another video before christmas.'
(distracts with playing with his earlobes) (cuts Dan off with talking about his own channel, then changes the subject)
44.26 dan: 'not in a rush you know. danisnotonfire is a place to creatively expressive myself.'
phil: 'just upload when you like.'
but the most interesting to me was this exchange:
39.25
phil: what are you doing?
dan: singing the final fantasy battle victory theme with my tongue out.
phil: while i was talking!
dan: i'm giving you a soundtrack!
phil: right. well, what was your view of the party Dan?
Dan: umm...for like the hour that i was there?
Phil: yeah
Dan: ate lots of brussels sprouts.
Phil: you are so many brussels sprouts!
Dan: i had two glasses of wine and then went back to edit the sims video -
Phil: that's dedication.
Dan: and for like the first half hour of me editing it i was like (does tipsy impression)
my thoughts:
i think Phil was genuinely irritated and perceived Dan as being rude, but Dan was just...being Dan, with the multifocus issues (and was listening to phil the whole time. i think he doesn't quite get that other people's brains don't work like his and people find multiple focuses distracting/a sign of disrespect). then Phil either thought Dan was humming because he felt left out of the discussion and that perhaps *he* was the one being rude, so asked Dan how he liked the party; or he thought a way to get Dan to stop being rude or bored of the livestream was to include him in the thought process (or is it both?!). But it was clear to me from Dan's reaction that isn't what Dan wanted, and he felt slightly uncomfortable (albeit for a second) having attention drawn to how short of a time he stayed there. he seemed to have a flash of embarrassment or shame in the "for what, like the hour i was there?". and i cant tell whether Phil's 'yeah' is regretting asking, or wanting to push him to talk and feel included anyway. they're both quite hard to read in this exchange. and i also think they're misreading each other slightly.
basically this moment made me uncomfortable, but then they brought it back around so quickly that it was fine, and they seemed fine. and i laughed at Dan being worried the video would go up with mistakes from 2 glasses of wine.
all in all, i focused more on Phil and his (pretty heavily guarded) anxieties than I did any Dan-type mood Dan was in. but it was still a nice chilled liveshow; and it's nice to have confirmation they're enjoying uploading every day on top of other work commitments and seem proud of themselves.
If Dan was salty at all underneath the chance to make a joke, it strikes me as salty at himself, not at Phil. if his fear and discomfort of social situations (as he said recently, not gonna bother rehashing this point; it was discussed at length in a thread not long ago), is worse at certain times compared to others, coming home to edit was a good excuse to leave earlier. i relate to that frustration. it's annoyance at yourself, and maybe a bit of jealousy, but jealousy at the other's ability to relax and have fun without it being a 'thing' built up in their head. not at them having fun without you and not limiting their life along with your's. i doubt Dan left the party because they both decided they HAD to upload and Dan had to take the bullet, or because Dan deliberately chooses not to socialise in order to purposefully alienate himself. we have no evidence of either of those things, but we do of the first interpretation. i totally agree though that both can come off as less than caring towards the other occasionally when you interpret their tones as selfish.Diyes_Celine wrote:I find it funny that Dan kept on bringing up the shots. mermaid blood, that was a really interesting commentary, and i quite agree. i do think dan has something going on emotionally, which is fine, we all have moods. despite being a total antiphan, i love their dynamic. dan is very obviously himself around phil, and vice versa. they get eachother. im happy that someone like dan (whose overcritical of himself and sometimes in a skewed way) has someone like phil, who seems to be grounding and supportive, like the type of friend to listen and actually care.
i do worry for christmas time as dan gets super emo around then, and being around his family and that.

I really liked this Undertale. the energy was good, and the pace was good. I am v glad they did a lot of fast forwarding because if we had to watch all of that I would have flipped my laptop and unsubscribed, so thank you deppy for not putting us through the hell of going back in real time . I liked their shirts. I normally like how Dan looks over Phil, but lately Philly-bops in black is my new kink.
time stamps under spoiler since they are long.
Lucyrg95- I was thinking this the entire video. I am a personal space person and the entire time I kept thinking how uncomfortable I would have been. They must sit that close often for it to be so comfortable.
I need to sleep these since I watched the video two whole times through then had to keep pausing for the time stamps. I need to stop procrastinating and clean my house tomorrow.

I don’t think that anything is off with them in either the live show or this Undertale vid.
Enjoyed the vid. I like that they were quite focused on the game play, and love all the voices that they do. Undertale will never be my fave game, but I do like seeing them play it.

i love it that they put up another undertale video! they should be posting a few more the upcoming week since there's only a week left of gamingmas. (since they said they will be finishing the game before the year ends).
it's nice when they're playing a long game that has a story and it's just them getting into it and talking about the game rather than using a game just for bants. i feel like you get to see a different part of them. when undertale's done i'm hoping they start another let's play of a "real" game, but this time they should probably post more frequently so it doesn't take a year to finish, haha. (not being salty, i do enjoy most of their gaming channel stuff esp their daily videos this december), but yeah.
this video gets an a+ from me, and as you guys said previously, it's nice when they fast forward the down time like going back etc but not making that reduce the time of the video.
sort of expecting them to do an even longer video once they get to the end "just to finish it" and that's a welcome video for me. i've played this game myself and there's a lot of things i still can't wait for them to discover!

yes! i loved the undertale video, one of the best in the series. i don't think anything was off, you guys are reading into it too much, just harmless teasing. i'm sure if they don't voice real frustrations in front of the camera.
i sort of hope they'll make a 2 hr undertale video lol i want to see them challenge their 1 hr limit and just for the sake of gamingmas - i want to see more games.

Best damn Undertale episode in a while. The worst was the one they did in the hotel room.
This one felt like it had the same excitement as the start of the series.
I love Phil but gotta say, Dan really carried this one and brought it home!
I recommend the GameGrumps playthrough. No distracting facecam, and hands down they did the best voice acting for this series:
p.s what's up with the server errors? maintenance?

If you want to see the ending, Jacksepticeye's is ok but he messed up the graphics badly and placed his facecam awkwardly, it's distracting .fancy_nancy wrote:I'm really bored with Undertale but that was a good one, Dan teasing Phil about shots and strippers was funny and Dan pls don't put your penis under a door

Dan making digs about Phil doing shots is hilarious, like why do you care about your best friend doing shots? It's not really his business what Phil does without him. He cares because Phil is his husband that's why lol.
