I am interested in the way DnP use the words "stood" and "sat" differently that I, an American, do. They say things like "I was stood there" when I would say "I was standing there" or "we were sat at the table" when I would say "we were sitting...

I hardly ever post, there are so many eloquent people here that anything I might say has mostly already been said. I often see posts that practically make me want to applaud, so I would really appreciate a thanks button as a way of kind of joining in the conversation.
