Previously, the rule did not allow any links to pornographic content. We wrote this rule early on when we believed that the terms of service of our host, ProphpBB, did not allow any links to mature content. Since then, we have discovered that mature content is allowed, as long as it is not gratuitously pornographic, and because of this we did not fully enforce the rule as written.
To better reflect the needs of the posters here, as well as the culture of the forum, we’ve rewritten the rule to allow adult content - but not irrelevant pornographic content - as long as it is clearly marked as not safe for work where appropriate.
We expect posters to not use IDB as a place to share pornographic content that is not relevant to the discussion taking place.
The moderators reserve the right to decide whether a link or image is suitable for the forum.

The previous rule:Do not post gratuitous links to pornography. Links to nudity or other potentially “not safe for work” material are permissible only in the context of a mature discussion.
When posting a link to potentially not safe for work material, clearly mark it as not safe for work. When embedding potentially not safe for work material, place it within spoiler tags, and clearly mark it not safe for work outside the tags.
Posting of, or linking to pornographic content is prohibited. This extends to adult erotic fictional works. This is a caveat of our use of the host website. Violation can lead to warnings and closure
