I watch so many TV shows I'll be here for hours trying to write them all down but yeah.

Mostly I watch Sci-Fi and nerdy stuff, my favs are Doctor Who (best tv show EVER), the Arrowverse I love it, Downton Abbey (awesome shoooow), Orphan Black (Tatiana Maslany BEST. ACTRESS. EVER. So underappreciated) and I could go on and on.

Currently I'm watching MR. ROBOT (I'm on s02e02 in case you wish to talk about it) and it's AMAZING def one of my favorite ones, the cast is amazing specially Rami Malek (Elliot) I'm in love with this show and I hope it lasts long.

Ooh! I watched Stranger Things! Got through the whole thing in two days. I haven't watched anything that fast in ages. I loved the 80s vibes (the soundtrack :D) and the kid actors were really great. Nobody I know IRL has finished it so I haven't been able to talk about it. Discuss away!

Stranger Things is great and so is The Get Down, but they are totally different shows as TGD is a drama that focus on a group of teens trying to make it big in the music industry while living in the Bronx, NY in the 70s. I love that show but not many people are watching it.

Probably going to be of interest to UK people (and not Deppy because they said they thought it was silly) but Hunted starts again tonight! I was almost on this season but I opted to accept a new job offer instead lol. Anyone else a fan? I'd love to give it a try; I'm adamant I could win or at least make it to the last week :-)

Stranger things was so good! I totally get people asking deppy to watch it in every ls. I am the kind of annoying friend that makes their friends watch tv shows too and we all loved it. I hope the next season will have the same magic and acting.

Also, I finally got around watching The Walking Dead (posted abt it in April  ) and I enjoyed it a lot, watched the 6 seasons in about a month and a half. I'm not as invested in the whole show and universe as I am with Game of Thrones and I do think that some of the arcs/episodes are almost painful to get through, however there are several episodes, even seasons that are just great AND I'm shipping caryl almost as much as deppy! I stg I got through the boring stuff just for them so if you're thinking about watching it then give it a shot :)

It took me about two months to catch up on the whole show. I agree its not quite GoT level riveting but I'm still very excited for the next season. Its definitely one of the shows that makes me avoid social media until I watch it to avoid spoilers.

I'm currently enjoying the new season of Scream Queens. Even though the characters are a bit one dimentional I find that the general stories lines are interesting enough.

I'm now realising how little I actually watch on tv. I guess I spend too much time on Youtube

I've thought about trying The Vampire Diaries again (I got to like season 4), or maybe supernatural/teen wolf. I think I'm just too picky about what shows I get invested in :thumb:

I’m one of those weirdos who prefer TV shows to films so I watch quite a lot of them.

From the series that are already finished, my all-time favorite are Friends and Stargate SG-1 while Game of Thrones is probably my favorite ongoing series (the last few seasons are even better than the books and that is saying something).

I also watch Doctor Who, AHS, Sherlock, Sense8 (they are really taking their time with season 2), How to get away with murder (Viola Davis is amazing and Jack Falahee is ), Downton Abbey (only have a couple of episodes left), Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory. My guilty pleasure one is Shadowhunters (pretty terrible but I love Magnus and Alec). I also used to watch Arrowverse (mainly Arrow and the Flash), but I lost interest a while back.

On my to watch list are Battlestar Galaktika, Breaking Bad, Bates Motel and Stranger Things and I just started Westworld.

Does anybody have any good Spanish TV shows to recommend (not telenovelas)? A few years ago, I watched El Internado and was pleasantly surprised :D .

I was very pleasantly surprised by Westworld. There is so much that the show can get into, I can't wait. At the same time I am worried I'll get disappointed, or if they slow that pace too much (without it suiting the plotline) that I'll get bored.
Sense8 is taking far too long, but (finger crosssed) it'll be worth it.
Other new series I am enjoying so far: Conviction (lawyer type drama with Hayley Atwell) and Falling Water (scifi dream stuff drama). People of Earth (alien encounter experiencers), saw the first and only episode today, but I can't wait for new episodes. And I continue to be amused by Superstore (hypermarket comedy).

(okay i apologize if this isn't a relevant contribution but)
there seems to be a minor fandom for The Office (US)
it's a friggin snazzy show with a good plot and interesting characters. There's also some notable people to ship, which is always an enticing way to ruin your life.

just started re-watching Louie

i remember first watching Louie (5 years ago) on like a local TV station which just shows foreign comedy shows (local shows suck ass) i was watching this guy who was clearly past his prime being ,miserable all day, probably the most cynic person i have ever heard of at the time and i was enthralled by his sense of humor i was in love with this guys mind it felt like i instantly knew him. the show was around 8 i had school till 6 and with a hour and thirty minute ride home( 2 hours with traffic), the moment school was over on Fridays that's the only thing i could think about i try to rush home, sometimes i make it sometimes i dont. it only aired for a 2 seasons and then the local network never picked it up again i knew there where more i had internet.( i was 16 back then i didn't know how to watch shows online) i was devastated. Years past i decided to re-watch it ( not yet finished) and it never seizes to amaze me. i just wanted to stop and rant and appreciate it and maybe even share it to some people who have not seen it. 10/10 Louie trash

Louie ck reminds me of dan if he was 40 and was straight

Currently feeling quite underwhelmed by Stranger Things, halfway through ep 4. Keep going, or give up?

S'hard to say, coz I was hooked by ep 4, but imo the season ends stronger than it starts, cause the different storylines start coming together.

Stranger Things underwhelmed me too. I think it just suffered way too much overhype and by the time I watched it I was expecting it to be groundbreaking/earth-shattering/etc - and all it was to me was just... good. A good show, don't regret watching it, but not making any of my top rec lists.

I did just binge watch The Fall last week, partially on Dan's rec and partially just because it was there and on Netflix and Gillian Anderson. Really enjoyed it, quite a bit more than i expected. The fact that the storyline efficiently wraps up in three seasons was so satisfying.

(I also started rewatching Star Trek TOS from the beginning, since it's on Netflix.)

Let's talk Sherlock.
Is it just me or was the new ep really bad? I mean, still kinda entertaining, but I kept asking myself what's even the point? It feels like they are drawing out a concept and storylines that are way overdone by now.
There wasn't even a real case this time? More of little pieces of ones thrown together and resolved poorly. I didn't even really catch what was that old lady's motive and how she was doing it. I mean, this show never really delivered in the resolution of the mystery department, but normally there would be some great "aha" effects along the way. Sherlock's deductions were also rushed over and irrelevant at most.

To me the stupidest thing was when Mary ran away, like why? how did this serve any plot point? it was just showing a bunch of ~exotic~ locations in a montage and then giving sherlock the opening for a bad joke. I guess this counts as trope subversion but ehh... :sideeye:

Also, is it safe to say that Mary isn't really dead? There was just one too many "when I'm dead, IF I'M REALLY DEAD WINKYFACE" for me to buy it, also knowing this show's record of "deaths"

And the whole John cheating storyline? what was that about? did they only text or also meet up? And why? They did nothing but show Mary and johns relationship as flawed from the very beginning, still there are declarations of undying love and "you r my life".
I just don't get it.

At least they lay low on the queerbaiting for now. I just doubt that it is with any serious background of recognizing the problem. It'll probably be back in the other eps if the trailer is anything to go by.
I'm sorry if I'm being too negative, I just have so many questions after this ep and would like to know other people's opinions!

I actually really liked that: the idea that John might cheat even though he loves Mary, showing that even 'perfect' relationships are complicated and that morality isn't black and white. I just like seeing depictions of complicated relationships. Looks like a common theory is that he wasn't actually texting 'E' after all and never saw her other than the two occasions they showed us, however.

Most of you probably care more about Sherlock (I couldn't get into it at all and gave up on it in season 2 ), but I wanted to ask if anyone watched the season 2 premiere of Shadowhunters?

My username already indicates that I'm a huge fan of everything Shadowhunters related (ok, apart from the movie, that was just horrible), I own every single book (some even in English AND German, which is weird for a stingy person like me) and I really liked the first season of the show despite its weaknesses.

So here are my thoughts on the first episode that probably nobody cares about:
I really think they've gotten a lot better this season. The effects are better, the runes are finally black and it seems way more mature judging by the first episode.
Valentine manipulating poor Jace, Jocelyn still trying to protect Clary, Lydia trying to help despite Alec calling off their wedding, Izzy being badass and hot (I can't decide whether I want to marry her or be her ), the way Izzy and Alec would rather be deruned than give up Jace, Simon and Magnus' lines  etc.
And Malec! I can't believe the only major canon ship is the biracial relationship between a gay Shadowhunter and a bisexual Warlock which they actually portray in a healthy way (so far): Magnus trying to be there for Alec but not allowing him to treat him like shit, Alec realising his mistake and genuinely apologising, Alec holding Magnus' hand and Magnus rearranging Alec's jacket - so beautiful! My queer heart can't take it

I just finished watching The OA on Netflix. I think I liked it, but mostly I just think I'm confused. It was very original, and I was interested in all the characters, but there was a whole lot of "what the fuck am i watching" going on.

Just a shot in the dark, but are there any Stargate fans here?

Tbh I could never get too deep into SG1 or Atlantis but Stargate Universe owns my soul. I originally watched it to be able to read a certain fanfic (which was totally worth it and still one of the best fics ever written imo) and ended up falling in love. I am in the process of rewatching right now and my poor heart. This show is just SO GOOD. The characters, the plot twists, the mind-fuck... I just wish I had somebody to rant with.

I watched sg universe (last year i think) and I thought it was fantastic, well, almost, there was so much more I wanted them to explore (plot and character wise), and the ending (not a fan), but the acting was great, and I just enjoyed watching it. btw what fanfic?

The stargate saga was a bit unknown to me, but I do remember seeing some of the eariliest episodes on tv (dawn of time), and the other series didn't interest me, but stargate universe clicked, probs because I had just finished Dark Matter and Killjoys at the time and this popped up somewhere.

Immersed in Asian drama at the moment, but you've inspired me to watch the series again asap.

I agree so hard on the unfinished plot lines/ending!! I think they set it up to have room for a third season but it got cancelled. afaik they are making a sequel in comic book form right now and this might be the firsts comic I will actually get into because I NEED TO KNOW :o

The fanfic btw is Force over Distance by cleanwhiteroom, it's not online anymore but I'll send it too you if you're interested! It diverges from the series somewhere during S2 and makes for a brilliant wrap up of all the storylines and goes in depth about stuff that only got touched on in the show. So it can kind of be read as an alternative ending, def gave me the closure I needed after the canon one!

How is Dark Matter? it has been on my "maybe to-watch list" for a while now...
