If they don't upload anything tonight, the first sign of life we get from them in 2025 will really be tomorrow's meet and greet in Birmingham lol

The people at the meet and greet are going to have so many options for new questions to ask them given that we haven’t heard anything for weeks!
I'm having a stress.

"big changes big questions" is a hard launch or hard launch adjacent in my eyes. They've done such a thorough job of boiling us frogs at this point that I think everyone is primed for a "new era" of openness, when their relationship doesn't need to be the elephant in the room. I think TIT was the bookend for the era of theories, phanspiracies, double entendre, etc that was fun but also at times too much or even hurtful.

With all that behind them, I'm excited to see what Dan and Phil 2.0 look like.

Oh, and I heard that Dan during the preshow today made it sound like a podcast was a maybe??? Yesss

Phil talked over him, but I think Dan muttered during the winking part that they were going to do what he did with his last show, which means paid livestream then up on YT later?

This one seemed so happy and in sync, they really thrive on tour.

The podcast was such a delight, I am actually surprised. I don’t know much about Tommy and Jack besides all the Minecraft drama but I found them funny and entertaining, especially Jack. And dnp seemed so comfortable too, which is something I wasn’t expecting and yet!
So many good bits, I died laughing at Phil telling the cutlery story  but the thing I appreciated the most was the serious talk, it was so refreshing to hear them talk about the hiatus, why it happened and how. It was shocking to find out BIG was supposed to be Dan’s last video ever (“nothing is going to change, we’re still on the internet” they said in the last liveshow of 2018, btw. Love some honest communication. :sideeye: Sorry I will never let this go).
I am glad they are happier and feel energized and you can tell they are enjoying dnpg way more now… we’re in the good timeline.

Anyway, the PHODCAST is gonna happen, right?

Has anyone paid for the patreon part of the podcast? I'm willing to pay if people say it was at least as good as the part on YouTube!

I paid for it. It’s about 45 minutes and it’s just as good.

I mean, let's put it this way would I pay £6 for an interview of dan and Phil, yes, are they funny, of course, but the other two are quite young and annoying. It was more I watched it despite of them so it depends where on the spectrum you are of finding young straight men quite annoying and odd, vs the trade off of it being Dan and Phil and is that a non entity amount of money to you or a bit of a budget stretch. I'll tell you one thing though you'd have to pay me to watch any other of the episodes I'd already paid for in the next month, I cancelled that subscription whilst still listening to the episode

Something that stood out to me as someone who’s been around for a long time.
(Paraphrasing)
Dan: the other day Phil said he wouldn’t still love me if I turned into a worm

There was a time when that would have made everyone freak out. But it was so casual and chill. (It’s a lie though. You know Phil would put him in a nice earthy container with some melon rinds- after he finished calling the army, of course).

Related to them being young… I was shocked that they admitted in the podcast to sending D&P questions about being retired from YouTube because they didn’t bother to look them up first… what in the incompetence?! If it were me (not that anyone has a reason to interview me lol), I’d be tempted to cancel based on that level of unpreparedness. Luckily for them, D&P are nice. And it ended up being a funny interview- so maybe I should be less judgemental.

Also, there is not 1 but 2 new videos on DAPG that haven't been posted here. So here they are.

I'd support them to keep playing old board/ physical copy games like this. Although I did not learn anything new, I enjoyed it.

I love Dan's boyband hair.

HAPPY PHIL DAY EVERYONE :birthday:

Our birthday boy is 38 :lilheart:
Mildly surprised the cake didn't say pour bot hem, but I guess there's a limit to what Dan will make innocent bakers write on a cake after all.

Is the brunch pic in the phouse? I thought he was wearing a turtleneck at first, which would be fancy for around the house.

So I was at the show last night and booyyyy… what a night! That was definitely so much better than their previous tours, I laughed so hard and you could tell they’re so much happier and comfortable now. I appreciated the serious talk about the hiatus, Sister Daniel and Father Philip changed my life, the musical bit at the end was INCREDIBLE. The thing is: now I feel more parasocial than I did before, I don’t know if this was their plan but here we are lads!

Anybody have a very specific memory for things Dan has mentioned in passing in his videos?

A friend of mine is doing research on artist visas and I remember Dan saying he was applying for his visa for probably WAD and he said the person started watching his videos right there in the meeting. Does anybody remember what video, or possibly liveshow, that was?

Saw them in Dublin...
The best show I have seen by them. I avoided spoilers for the most part so enjoyed the surprises otherwise. So worth the money. This is truly the best versions of themselves and I am very happy for their personal growth into the people they are.

Anyone know when they’re on the Sims livestream? I assume tomorrow since there’s a show tonight.

Hey everyone - this isn't quite as official as a mod note but it kind of is. We've been dealing with consistent issues with people being unable to sign in/kicked out after a few clicks if they can get signed in. Our hosts believe they've finally been able to address this issue but we need feedback to let them know if it's resolved or not.

If you can respond here or drop me a message if you're still having issues, please do!!

When I logged in just now it made me do it twice which is typical. The other time it kicks me out is after logging in before posting so I’m responding here to see if that happens.

Update: it posted without making me login again! So that seems to be fixed!

Either way thank you for trying to get it fixed!!
