  • Third polaroid is for sure a dog (idk why I needed that confirmation)... and probably Colin, though the picture looks unfamiliar:

ok but is phil wearing dan's nasa night shirt because omg
As much as I’d like it to be the nasa shirt, I think it might actually be his corgi shirt that he wore in the “Doing things my parents never let me do as a kid 2” video.

I'm sure he is tired - but he seemed in really good spirits to me in this video! We got a really healthy dose of 'natural Phil voice' which is less exuberant and less camera-forward, which tends to happen when he's talking directly to Dan. The filming quality in some of the segments was also worse and maybe that contributes too? But overall the impression I got was that he's excited about moving and slightly stressed about packing, which is.... some realness, lmao.

But those little giggles with Dan and the self-awareness. My soul is feasting on it.

There were several moments where we got actual Phil Lester in this video and I need more. He’s still our Phil but he seems much more mature and self-assured on camera lately.

Well this is the best thing to wake up to, a surprise new video! I don't even know where to start, I loved it so much! So many great stories, the apartment hunting video, the photo-booth, Dan's little giggle that took me straight to Phil's Trying To See Without My Glasses rat giggle moment... I had the dumbest smile on my face the whole time, definitely mass-rewatch material.
rizzo wrote: Fri Feb 05, 2021 9:16 pm [*]I'm like 99.999999% their new place is gonna be Way Up High - their preference in apartments just screams penthouse.
Oooh this is interesting! Until now I hadn't even considered anything other than a house but the fact they couldn't design the exterior could definitely mean another apartment building.

I'm just saying if y'all need your Moving Hill Resident badges now it's time we are sailing the road is clear I can feel it

Rewatched the video and I'm just wondering why is Dan acting like he hasn't worshipped Phil's feet for the past 10 years? No one can tell me he didn't get an eyeful of toes over Skype he enjoyed. Imagine having a VIP seat to Phil's feet spa and complain smh

I do feel a bit sad at the idea they're giving up so much of their nerdy stuff. Maybe it's bbecause I'm an adult with my own apartment filled with nerd shit, but like.. there's no need to have a theme only!!
Will probably never be over the BONCAS and the beauty of Phil Lester.

What a fun and lovely vid!
(What a wasted opportunity though to not slap a YEET post-it on Dan and get his reaction)

I thought when we came to this point I'd feel sad/nostalgic tbh but instead I just feel kind of excited for them. I have a feeling there will still be plenty of nerd shit, it'll just be more expensive nerd shit. Like - there is ZERO chance these men are parting with their board games or either of them with their unending pop culture reference love. But I can see them wanting a lot of a fresh start, wanting fresh new things with this fresh new phase of their life - ditching big decor pieces that would be what we as an audience are most familiar with, but still packing mementos and memories and meaning into every decision, many of them things that were out of sight for us anyway.

I didn’t feel like Phil was particularly tired or anything in this video, actually I loved how much PHIL he was instead of AmazingPhil. It’s not a surprise that I tend to love his videos mostly when he’s just himself rather than his persona. I loved the banter with Dan and all the giggles, that was a nice moment.
About them throwing away so much stuff: if we think about it, most of it has been in the filming flat all along, so it was stuff they always intended not to keep in the long run.
Very curious to know about his next video and when/where it will be because making a “moving out - keep it or yeet it” video makes it look like they are in the process of moving in their new house, otherwise I think he would have come up with a different video. I mean, it’d be a bit anti-climatic to make a video about throwing away stuff before moving and putting “moving out” in the title just to keep filming in the same place afterwards?

Actual Phil over of AP any day (but the AP persona definitely holds a special place in my heart).

It would be a bit of a bummer if he's still in the filming flat next video, unless he has a series of moving videos planned. It's been impossible to judge where they are in the moving process with what they tell us. From the pic in the stereo vid it looked a ways off but who even knows when that was taken other than during COVID? It could be in a month, next week or he could have uploaded the video from the new place. I look forward to having whiplash when he's suddenly in the forever home with no warning.

:love1: Phil's vids are always hit or miss for me, and this one's such a hit I have no choice but to make a top 6 fave list :love1:

(1.) I love how these two are the kind of people to collect actual physical copies of films. I want to see an updated pic of their collection so bad

(2.) The clip of them looking for their first London apartment reminded me of this video (especially at 2:35)
I forgot how 80% of Phil's photos are just dan haha. turns out taking pictures = Phil's love language :rainbowtears: . That place must have been one of their final three choices, they're all nice but I'm glad they went with the one they picked, he's right it does have more character.

(3.) My favorite part's 100% the photobooth story. The relatable social awkwardness of it all, the random dude lurking around and calling them sexy (and Phil making the cheeky Dan comment), the way they took like 100 pics to "get their money's worth" which is such a phil thing to say, the fact that they spent a whole HOUR just taking pictures together !!! they had a photobooth at their tour afterparty as well, right? I love how much they care about stuff like that. I wish he showed us more pics though :(

(4.) Did anyone else think Phil sound more northern than usual? Especially near the end (not that I'm complaining! <3 )

(5.) It's nice to see how they keep a lot of fan gifts, it's really sweet of them.

(6.) most importantly, I feel like Phil's channel has come full circle... all his OG viewers used to beg for feet pics, who knew all they had to do was wait a decade? also don't judge me but I checked wikifeet and screenshots from the video are already up, I love the efficiency  Dan has a slightly higher rating there so maybe that's why Phil's been giving us so much feet content lately (like the :straggy: video). looks like he needs to channel his competitiveness somewhere now that Dan vs. Phil is over :ribena:

also re: the bittersweet feeling of getting rid of their iconic decore, I agree that they're prob just yeeting all their £20 nerd stuff and buying a bunch of £200 pound nerd stuff b/c they got that big money lifestyle now and Dan cares about rich boi aesthetics™ now. There was a €8,000 Kiki's delivery service painting (I follow a bunch of auction houses to remind me that I'm poor) and I could see them decorating with stuff like that.

I wish Phil put a yeet post-it on his blue and green comforter, though. I need visual proof it's been Marie Kondo-ed out of their lives.

Loved this video! It was so cute and Phil seemed really genuine. The photobooth story was adorable, as was the foot bath. I feel like there was a time last year when Phil would!’t even mention Dan’s name. I love how they’re giving us a little glimpse into their lives again.

The auDaCitY Phil has to randomly upload a video on a Friday while I'm at work smh. Anyway, I found it fucking delightful and I have many thoughts.

So many thoughts that I'm just gonna do a whole timestamps post for them.

0:01- very interesting to me that he used the 'coming up' think like he did in the stereo videos? I had assumed it was just for that but maybe he's changing up the editing style to have a little teaser as the first few seconds, I know a lot of YTers do that.
0:19- shot of the dnpg room full of boxes. not a lot of identifiable stuff but I do spot the moon chair and the dan vs phil board
0:32- so there was the previous pic of this room in the stereo with Dan I think? but I didn't realize that the mess packed all the way into the hallway-ish part of the room too lmao
0:55- introduction to box of mayhem. potentially linked to glasses confusion, but I am 0% convinced all this stuff was in a random basket together and much more convinced that they've been packing and cleaning and it's a collection of things Phil didn't want to deal with at the time and thought would be entertaining to go through on video.
1:27- first item in the box: vibrating sloth. important to note that it vibrates for innocent reasons. (you know what vibrating thing was also originally invented for innocent reasons. the hitachi wand lmao) supposed to be nice for your back actually a headache generator made by satan
1:50- naked man apron is here to stay, iconic piece of history, also needs a wash
2:09- the australia ditl koala picture!! still cute as hell. keep for the mems
2:37- nord is back for another spon
3:38- interesting cheeky audio dub of '1 month free' with change to full nord screen. I'd assume Phil misspoke when filming the vid
3:46- photobooth pics, story about creepy guy looking at their photos and commenting on them, turns out he didn't work there.
4:52- random note, this is the VPMO2 dark academia jacket, very interesting that Phil kept it around, maybe he's learning to look good in brown!
5:03- Phil acknowledges that he is not doing well at getting rid of things and needs to be more harsh.
5:13- test print of dnpg pajamas with horrible fleshy background color. luckily they didn't print the whole batch that way
5:34- pair of tiny hands, Phil was planning to use as a challenge in the Norman makeup vid but decided not to, since the makeup was already a challenge. a very solid choice by Phil.
5:50- Phil tries to take his glasses off with the tiny hands, they fall on the floor. This is why you end up breaking your glasses, Phil.
6:10- big hard drive with 2 videos and 1 picture. ominous.
6:13- first video is of a flat dnp looked at when first moving to London
6:28- Dan is filming the video, Phil recognizes blurry ass young Dan in the mirror. turns out Phil is also there
6:49- the apartment has an amazing view, deppy love high up amazing views. makes me wonder if their new place really could be up high. also always reminds me of that old (2012?) 'can you still have a [sex] dungeon if it's a penthouse apartment?' liveshow lmao
6:58- pic of the cursed place they looked at. with a fucking STYROFOAM chair
7:13- last video that apparently was on hard drive not shown. what was it? accidental boring pocket filming? (likely) secret gay outtakes of old videos? (unlikely) we'll never know. has made me think about how dnp really do love taking pictures and videos and keeping them all. unedited pinof 1 footage might really be out there still. a haunting thought that will keep me up at night.
7:22- cards against humanity phan edition, a gift from some fans.
7:36- cards against humanity: in Dan and Phil the movie, Phil is played by... Pikachu's gaping [CENSORED] (asshole, I assume), or Phil's mum.
7:45- 2nd card: at night, I like to fantasize about... Pete Wentz wearing a Harry Styles mask (true for Phil apparently) or Phi's meaty legs
8:05- next up is the crystal that used to be on Phil's background shelf but he took it off 'cause lots of people were confused that it looked like a chicken breast (I think I myself made a post on here asking wtf it was cause I was confused lmao)
8:23- final thing, food gel bath Phil bought for Kath but she didn't want it. Because she's a sensible woman.
8:40- Phil says he took his contact lenses out and can't find his glasses?? makes me very confusion about the order of clips in this since he has been wearing his glasses for all clips in the video previously
8:58- trying out the jelly bath- the blow up bath smells like holiday
9:05- Dan has a sniff and manages to swear 2 times in the first 5 seconds he speaks in the video
9:08- D: I just want to suck on a beach ball. P: I'm about to blow a beach ball. Phil makes himself giggle with this. smh gays
9:22- Phil struggles to blow up the bath. D: What the fuck am I doing with my evening? Is there no one else on earth you coul*mumble*' Dan, you know full well you wouldn't want anyone but you to be in your place, shut up.
9:39- P: 'what the fff..rick is all this??' this feels like such a Real Phil moment, like he almost just swears but catches himself
9:59- foot bath instructions suggest asking a friend to pamper [your feet], Dan is a hard no on this
10:06- iconic 'small glass of water' vase appears. I wonder if it came with the filming flat and they will have to leave it there. if so, rip, she will be missed.
10:22- Phil adds 2 bags of gel powder instead of one because he's a mad lad like that
10:24- P: 'the longer you mix the thicker it will get' there's a cut between this comment and Phil's laugh with Dan saying 'I hate this'. I want to know what was in that cut.
10:39- is Phil wearing matching socks again?? who is this man
10:42- EXTREMELY cursed bath gel asmr. thanks, I hate it
10:45- random and absolutely unnecessary skin fic reference in the year of our Lord 2021
10:55- D: 'this is the most upsetting thing I have done or seen this year' same, Dan, same
11:21- blurred Phil feet shots. Phil is hilarious. idk why this just cracks me up so much
11:44- Phil thinks nail clippers are a hair clip. remember the hair lights?? I want Phil wearing hair clips. pls
12:25- Phil returns to wrap up box of doom wearing his glasses. seems like he filmed the foot bath first?? and then the rest of the video, probably just showing the empty foot bath box
12:34- labeling things around the house for keep or yeet. plants (real) are a keep all around.
12:43- keep fridge polaroids. on is of Steve, the other looks like Phil in front of Norman's tank I'm fucking DISTRAUGHT do not talk to me. they really have pet photos on their fridge. fuck
12:50- light up & sign is getting yeeted, not unexpected imo, although it does make me a little sad 'cause while I know the & was part of some of like the D & P branding, it has always been a symbol my aunt and uncle use to signify their relationship and togetherness and I always found it sweet that deppy had one.
13:00- pixel mirror and hulk posters get a yeet. while I understand the bittersweetness for people, it is something I completely expected. I see them getting rid of pretty much all of their old decorations that they kept in the filming flat until they actually started living there a few months ago, they haven't actually lived with any of those things (pixel mirror, hulk poster, sofa crease sofa, etc) for several years now, it's just more hard of us to see them gone-gone.
13:21- Phil is not wearing his glasses (assumedly still wearing contacts idk maybe he's just bumbling around) in this shot. I am confusion.
13:24- P: 'everything in this room, we haven't touched any of it for 3 months, so YEET'. I hope this isn't 100% true, even if they are getting rid of a lot of stuff. I don't see them tossing out the Dan vs Phil board. If they do I'll be sad.
14:07- end shot of getting feet out of the gel bath. bonus blurred foot+crotch zoom shot
14:10- D: 'you know what? I am going to send you my therapy bill' 1. lmao 2. Dan, you've just literally bought a house in the London area with this man, have lived with him for nearly 10 years and have had multiple large joint business measures, you're finances are way more wound together than a therapy bill.

Very enjoyable video, 9/10. I had thought that they probably weren't actually moving into the new place for a while longer, but I wonder if it will be sooner than I thought if they are doing more serious packing/sorting type stuff. Or maybe they're just spreading that work out, which is a good and sensible thing to do *doesn't relate in procrastination*

He looked sooo good in the jacket, yay for Phil finally realising he actually can pull off brown! Maybe dark academia Phil is closer to becoming a reality than we thought? But I will say... maybe not with a grey t-shirt...

As someone who tends to look at people's faces, his eyes were screaming of something being strange! It could be stress of moving and lack of sleep, although after watching PINOF 9 for my previous post, I come to realise that he's been looking this way for a long time now.

I wonder if he's done some botox/lifting to his eyebrows, too! The corners of his eyebrows tend to move up when he laughs, but it was not that noticeable before! Now they seem stuck there, creating lines on the sides of his forehead. In London/among celebrities, it's kind of normal so I wouldn't think there's any major issue behind it. It just makes me realise how "Looking young" may be important for him.

I was also a bit worried about his red eyes, but those must be caused by the contact lenses.

I too am haunted by this thought. Dnp strike me as having hoarding tendencies both in real life and for computer files. I would not be at all surprised if they still had the full footage from pinof, christmas adventure, pinof 2, and many other iconic old-school videos. It’s probably floating around on some giant hard drive somewhere. What I would give to see it lol.

I really enjoyed this video and here are a few random thoughts:
  • Loved the hoarders intro with the theme music, but that packed game room is an actual nightmare — it made me very anxious to see it and I do actually think the easiest thing would be to yeet it all. It just brings to mind the feeling of starting out the moving and packing process with a grand plan to be organized and intentional and then ending it all by throwing random things into boxes to deal with later because you are so demoralized and over it.
  • Phil referring to the box of mayhem as something he has been avoiding like a “shameful … lover” -- like he loves his cheap crap possessions but knows they are not entirely admirable. Just his brain and the words that come out of it are interesting.
  • The close-up of that truly useless vibrating sloth face was fully terrifying.
  • “I’m always going to keep the memories" -- so nakedly sentimental, ugh.
  • What interests me about the photobooth photos is how they seem to have no problem with coming up with endless poses -- that's so playful and collaborative. As someone who hates photos or posing I find this foreign but fascinating.
  • Love that glimpse of past Phil with his old hair — and it makes me proud to think about how young they both were to be talking to an estate agent and touring fancy apartments
  • I love the shade of Phil saying he got bored of the repetitive crystal chicken breast comments — not tired or irritated, but flat out bored. Such sass at stan twitter.
  • That fact that he somehow lost his glasses in the apartment is so hilarious to me -- like, get it together, man!
  • Them both going feral for the beach ball smell was amazing.
  • "I’m about to blow a beachball" -- Boy oh boy.
  • "it’s like snow if snow was made out of slime" -- It makes sense and it doesn't.
  • When he leans over and hugs his legs after laughing at himself over the nail file bit -- best part of the video.
  • He is trolling so hard with putting sticky notes on the plants, my god.
  • I know Dan's line about having Phil pay for his therapy bill was a joke, but it does make me wonder if Dan has gone back to therapy -- I mean the quarantine alone would warrant that, but also I wonder if the stress of writing a book and making all these professional changes has merited it.
Overall, as I've said before, Phil is just such good company. <3 :rainbow: :prideheart2:

This post is pointless because like... they know we know that they know we know...

But I just want to put it on record that they're currently living in a cramped 2(ish) bedroom with one bedroom being entirely filled with boxes. Make your own conclusions.

And in case you're rolling your eyes... look. Living through phandom prior to 2019 never really leaves you~* Okay? Cool.

I just thought that AP bed would never get slept in! When we first saw the photo of the dapg room packed up I thought oh his legs must be bruised from the wooden sides of that smaller full size bed... but seeing him actually wading through the boxes into the hallway... that would explain it too. The fact that there is plenty of space near the back corner of the room to stack boxes, where things (like the piranha plant bouquet) aren’t packed up, frustrated me. There was that Instastory of Phil visiting a storage space like two years back... guess it was full? Anyway put me down as another person who thought they would never miss the filming flat, feeling some weird attachment. She was greatly improved by the purple and pink lighting. But god please let them have fully planned for acoustic quality in their new space.

Good video. No I did not have my own box of stuff waiting to be sorted through sitting just below the tv while watching it.... guess I need to figure out what to do with that lavender hair dye no one in the family wants to (can) use. I really do think it’s a missed opportunity to auction off the pixel mirror and flesh toned dapg pjs for charity. I wonder if they are against the idea of fans paying money for something they’ve touched? I definitely feel him on the “oh we haven’t used the stuff for months, guess we don’t actually need it” as we are in the same in-between space. But I hope everyone took that putting a post-it on the whole room as a joke.

Phil looked just fine, moving is exhausting, this pandemic is exhausting and we’re also accustomed to him having downed some sugar before filming. Personally I don’t like the line of speculating on botox, it feels akin to analyzing weight fluctuation.

Sadly no clinics in London have been open for months, they are currently closed until further notice. So even if Philly wanted any kind of botox, it's sadly a no from big man Boris. I frowned for the first time since 2016 this week. Truly horrifying.

Botox is a pretty common way of treating migraines and severe headaches (if you have the means) so presuming we mean for that if they get bad enough sure but I don’t think that’s something we’d ever really know, and as fruit criminals said, definitely not this year.

The idea of Kath rejecting the gelli foot spa was so funny and reminded me of Northern Phil giving her the toy monkey in a cage (?) for Mother’s Day.

Botox can last months and London has entered highest level of lockdown only in December. For work reasons, furthermore, certain services are still allowed - which is what Dan did, I believe, to have his most recent cut. You need to obtain permission and stuff, but it's legal!

I am sorry I have upset you! <3 I was bringing up a thought, as I found it to be an issue different from weight, which can depend on many involuntary physical factors. For this reason, it is much nicer when they say, as Louise did in her interview (her being always so beautiful anyway, as a person and aesthetically).

On another note, I am just waiting for Wilbur to reply to Dan. These interactions between emerging, but currently famous influencers and old-but-still-kind-of-relevant ones is so interesting.
