OK firstly, I loved the golf with friends video. For some reason, those are some of my favorites!

Second; I listened to the album to see what it was like and I ended up listening to it for three hours while I worked. It’s so great to have the background both for concentrating and for keeping up my energy!
Who would have thought Dan and Phil would make such great music to work to? It definitely wasn’t on my 2024 bingo card!

I just listened to the Dan and Phil Beats album and I actually really like it for getting work done! I know Dan is the music guy but I feel like it might have also been inspired by Phil’s love of the “Music for Plants” playlist he has mentioned before (which I also use for work background music).

Re Dil the cop… is chef not an option? For some reason I thought they said he was going to be a chef before and I feel like that matches his personality better. But yeah British detective shows ARE fun…

Chef is an option, but to be fair you can't go with them and control them at work in the chef career*, you can can only do that with the scientist, doctor, actor and cop careers, which I think is why they only really mentioned those when picking. I also remember them considering having him be a chef though, and a mixologist.

*Unless they buy the dine out dlc and have Dil buy a restaurant, then they could play him as a chef, but I wouldn't really recommend that as that pack is very buggy and also they'd need to be already rich lol.

Actually even if you buy the Dine Out DLC (which I thought they had? I swear I remember them dining at Chez Llama once), you can't play as a chef yourself, you can only hire them. There are mods that let you play as chef but so far they've shown no interest in mods

My issue isn't with what people make within a fandom, my issue is with people who had the very nasty habit of re-posting things that weren't theirs and sticking them in DnP's faces. Especially when they did that with fanworks that the original creator never meant for to be seen by them (or even anyone else not interested in certain types of fanmade content for that matter) and tagged their stuff accordingly so nobody would. Because that happened A LOT back in the day, especially when those Tumblr Tag videos were made. And it's a shame because DnP themselves have always been pretty good about putting space between them and fan spaces meanwhile here comes some loser looking for content they don't even like but to repost it for A Notice. Notice culture is the death of fandom istg.

Sadly the phandom still doesn't seem to quite grasp it. While I don't think I saw any direct reposts, I did notice a lot of people tagging the DPAG account in things they did not make and did not ask the creator permission for. Someone did it to me too and while I was already in the process of writing a tweet tagging them myself, it did make me a tiny bit uncomfortable because what if I didn't want my edit, which I only make to share with other fans, to be seen by them? Rude.

Definitely not the hole for the first one, why would he wait to bring it up? Yeah nothing could be done about it over the weekend, but at least the builder will be prepared for what needs to happen on Monday? Their house is a fucking disaster btw like at some point I'd start looking into suing the construction company or whoever is responsible.

Not the hole for the last one either because, maybe an unpopular opinion, YOUR NEIGHBOURS ARE NOT THE POST OFFICE. I'm always taking packages for neighbours and I usually don't mind but the second someone comes asking whether i'll be home because they didn't plan accordingly is when I stop allowing their crap to take up space in my hallway. Phil probably should've said something like 'no promises something can come up' to cover all bases. but it's just ridiculous and kind entitled to ask someone to basically stay home all day for a package that isn't even theirs.

These are my thoughts as well. Not that I have money for a custom new build house in London, but their experience with theirs has really put me off it. How absolute obnoxious- why the hell is the ceiling caving in??

I am concerned about their house! I don't understand how there's been builders there for years at this point. That doesn't seem normal at all. And agreed, I don't think Phil was wrong at all for bringing up the ceiling issue. I'd want the contractor to be aware of it asap and to maybe look at it before the weekend to see if it's an emergency :S

I do feel for that builder, sounds like he's had a rough week. Absolutely it wasn't phil's fault for mentioning the hole though, pretty normal response to let someone know in advance about that - especially as it looks fairly serious!

he and dan were the (mild) aholes in the second one though and I find it kind of funny imagining the woman (a youtuber?) with an awful impression of the two of them, believing them to be just obnoxious divas who push into queues. Idk why one of them didn't save their place or something, did they both need to talk to tom right then.
