Hmmmm, Phil basically had a dream in which his ability to make personal choices in his own life is infringed upon by his job (Youtube) leaving him feeling like he had no choice but to conform. Yeah, I think there's plenty to psychoanalyze there.confusedpanda wrote:With phil mentioning him having a weird dream in the live show, I'm surprised no one here or anywhere really has psychoanalyzed it yet! It was something about all youtubers having to wear just all one color and Phil's was a banana yellow. It sounds strange so I wonder what the deeper meaning could be.

I agree with this, and I hate it that back when I just grad from high school, there's a scholarship that needs you to take MyersBriggs test and you're out once you're not landed on a box that they want.000dia000 wrote: Despite it being a personality test, people can still be different characters and hold different values regarding social interaction and relationships, which is why Phil probably felt the need to address not feeling the need to confine himself in a box, etc.
Anyway, I think I hold onto my MBTI a lot stronger when I was a teen more than now because I want to not feel like I am the odd one, but it obviously matters less once you get older and I think that's how Phil feel about it. Am I projecting? Yes, I am. Does this apply to labelling your own sexuality because I also can see Phil's trait of not wanting to label himself makes sense
majitzu, I love all the gifs, Phil is so pretty.
I forgot to mention in my super long post, that I actually feel a bit sad that there's no #necklacegate going on when Phil is playing with his shirt collar. and I wanna believe that he take the necklace off on liveshows. Fight me. Lol.
Love is forever

Remember in one of Phil's formspring answers someone asked if he was bi and he said "Yeah. Tho I don't like to label myself as anything." So yeah I think so, also Phil (and Dan) seem(s) very anti-label.swofro wrote: Does this apply to labelling your own sexuality because I also can see Phil's trait of not wanting to label himself makes sense
almost out of the phandom but now stanning again!
I missed Phil's ls soooo much, watching them while eating my lunch were one of my weekend's highlights back when they were frequent. I couldn't watch it live today but it was a lovely experience and made me feel so nostalgic. Like it's just so weird I totally felt hooked from the first second, it feels like I'll be Phil trash forever even after he abandoned us for so long :')
Anyways, I loved the taxi story but I am genuinely amazed at the fact that Phil has not broken any body part in the 10 years he has done youtube if that's how he acts when he's stressed out. I kinda wanted to be able to reach through the screen and smack him in the head for being so dumb. I wonder what Dan has to say about it.
Boy also has such a sweet tooth, I am so envious of his metabolism. If I ate so many sweets I wouldn't be able to leave the gym.
Yay for the no labels comment! I am somehow happy that Phil has not changed this and is consistent with his formspring answer from ages ago. He is quite right that it is really difficult to place so many people on a specific box. Though it's fun to take these tests and see if they do get some things right.
I wonder if his dream was triggered by all thw things they had to possibly give into in order to have tatinof at youtube red? Or was it perhaps caused by the fact that he is no longer with channelflip and maybe has to deal with more youtube stuff?
Overall, I feel so happy and entertained. The whole liveshow was a blessing and we got to see his knees and his eyes were so particularly beautiful today. And I'm gonna stop because I could write essays on how much I love Phil rn and nobody wants to be annoyed by that

Hello all, delurking very temporarily to join in on the myers-briggs typing discussion because I'm a sucker for pseudo psychology, haha!
If you look at the cognitive functions of the myers-briggs types, INTJ has Introverted Intuition (Ni) and Extraverted Thinking (Te) as the dominant and auxiliary functions, while INTP has Introverted Thinking (Ti) and Extraverted Intuition (Ne). I don't really see any Ni, Te or Ti in Phil, but he radiates Ne, especially in his videos (bouncing from topic to topic, etc).
Personally I'd agree with what some previous posters have said about Phil being an INFP, not sure exactly of the order of his functions are but he definitely uses Fi and Ne. I think the reason Phil didn't get a clear answer on the test is because the online ones don't really measure the functions, and just try to sort everyone into one of two boxes for each category.
Does everyone mostly agree that Dan is an INFJ?

Bad Dan. Why did you let Phil run after the taxi? That is so stupid and everyone knows it (except Phil.) I want to hear his side of the story. Haha
BTW. Didn't Phil have 1M fans in YouNow before? In my app, it shows he only has 97k fans.
I came to make a Phil trash post and you did it for me. This liveshow made me so happy for so many different reasons. Every Sunday I've been tuning in to his liveshows and sadly this week I couldn't make it. I did rewatch it on younow and really really really loved it. He was so cute that everything he said brought a smile to my face and an urge to reach through the computer screen and grab his cheeks. He was so relaxed and open with the audience and didn't drag anything for too long. I live for his candle hauls because I love seeing his face and expression when he inhales the candles. The airport story had me giggling into my hands at how stressed he got. I relate so much because I'm the calmest person until one thing goes wrong, then hell breaks loose. Also it was so nice to see him blue and see some cheeky knee when he cuddled into himself. Wow this totally became a trash post, I would get all deep and analytical but I don't have enough energy so I'm just going to end with I love Phil and I'm excited for any sort of content!daichii wrote:

A happy post, this is not. Feel free to skip.
So... I'm a regular lurker here and while I've been sick of the tour (they'll never visit this part of the world and there's only so much that M+G pics can do), I wasn't quite there at the point where the content drought would make me lose my sanity. I did side-eye deppy for their overall shitty planning and/or laziness but since I never expected anything else from them, it was never too bad for me. I loved the $5 internet experiment when it came out and I even watch some of those click-baity reaction videos occasionally. My point being that throughout the tour, my investment hadn't seemed to have been affected much at all even if I was a bit bored. So this has literally come out of the left field for me. After all this time, there's finally a liveshow... and I found that I don't care. I've been trying to talk myself into watching it, but I just really, really don't feel like it. In fact, the thought of watching it is oddly reminiscent of how I used to feel pre-homework. And that just makes me sad. Granted, I only watch Phil's liveshows if people (you guys) say it's good but literally every single one of you has been raving about this one and some airport incident, and I still can't bring myself to care about it. Or that Dan's gonna do one soon. I'm not even looking forward to the upcoming Dil. Though to be fair, I stopped caring about Dil like 20 episodes ago. So I dunno. I'm completely befuddled right now as this lack of interest has literally come out of nowhere for me. I mean, it's possible I'll be sucked right back in after actually watching them again, or once their uploads become regular (Ha!), but I'm just not feeling it at all right now. It's been too long. They've neglected their audience too long for there not to be consequences.
I'm being a Debby downer when everyone's in a good mood. Sorry 'bout that.

Haha it's like Dan is not the logical/calm person between the two. He is rather too pessimistic that he'll just accept the inevitable doom. Phil, on the other hand, will not give up without giving all he's got. What a couple duo.IckleMissMayhem wrote:Well, they have form for panicking and running around like nutters at airports...

I've been catching Pokemon so haven't had time to write my thoughts on the liveshow but pretty much everything's been said by this point. I hope you lot in the UK get Pokemon Go soon and I desperately hope Dan and Phil play it on the gaming channel! Great post, but this part..idk. You've said this before and I'm not quite on board with the sentiment. Younow pays them too, so...? No matter where he shares the stories, bitch be getting paid. And in a video he'd have more room to elaborate on things and not get distracted by the chat and whatever else, so getting stories in video form would probably be better for us anyway, and then he could answer questions about the video in a later younow. Just don't really understand the issue with it (unless it's just more residual bitterness that they didn't share along the way, because while I do get that, but that ship has long sailed).alittledizzy wrote:My notes from rewatching the liveshow. Just popped in to say while I don't usually get into the imagining Deppy as parents, Phil's recent ls was full of little parental gems that made me go there. For instance:
- Re-watch the traffic story and imagine that it's about the inevitable lost child moment that all parents will admit to if you press them. OK, maybe Dan would be slightly more concerned if it was a little human we were talking about but couldn't you see them reacting similarly in that case?
- The hair braiding...especially with the little sing-song he says with it
- "I can't choose my baby!" (re: fav Sims)
Also...my goodness, does Phil's skin look gorgeous in this
p.s.- Anyone else that Phil was totally sick first (he kept rubbing his nose and sniffling slightly in the ls) and Dan caught it from him?

Since they didn't share stories during the tour it would be annoying to wait so long just for short explanations in a live show. Phil should save the stories for videos where he can give them more attention. We waited this long so a little longer won't hurt if we get more content.

I stayed up til 2:30 am for Phil's liveshow even though I was tired. But then the video and the audio was lagging for me so I couldn't watch it But I watched the upload on youtube this afternoon and I loved it. Like it genuinely took me from a good mood to a great mood.
The football commentary bit made me crack up. Just his face when he was like "they're running away from the ball" and then he sort of realised that was not the aim of the game, so suddenly the ball was on fire. Oh my god, the "that's what you get for having a bird" bit was so harsh I loved it. And the Stacey's mom thing, he could not have sung that at a worse time, it was excellent.
And the taxi story was obviously a highlight. Tbh I would have probably done the same thing as him. I mean it was pretty dangerous but the cars were going slowly, and it worked. I bet he doesn't regret it. Add me to the massive list of people who want to hear Dan's perspective, though.
Him mentioning an AP video and gaming videos, plural, was such a relief, tbh. I wonder if he did miss making videos, or if he was just saying that. I like to think he did. It's nice to know they at least tried to film a Sims video on the road.
So yeah, really good liveshow from Phil.

Yeah, I think a youtube video brings in way more money than younow. But wording might be residual bitterness, yeah - I just tend to jot things down quickly when I'm rewatching something.spider wrote:alittledizzy said 'more monetized' probably meaning a Youtube video would get a bigger audience and more long term revenue.

I think they won't tell those stories in liveshows because they want the ability to edit what they say and not give away details they don't want to give away, or wanting to be able to share pictures alongside of some stories. My theory is actually that they're holding back the few token good stories they've decided to share for AP or dinof videos to hype people up for the tour/documentary release, which is what I really mean when I say they're saving them.
Ooh that would make sense but also boo because isn't YT Red not happening until November? Is that official or was that just a theory here? Either way, long wait... again..alittledizzy wrote:

Sims better be good today to appease the masses, that's for sure. When do they tend to drop videos, like 6pm uk time? Is that too optimistic? I mean, they already filmed it, so. I'm not here for any 10pm bullshit guys.

Does anyone want a negative review of the live show. I know that I always like a little bit of diversity so that I can judge whether I will like the thing. Everyone having the same opinion scares me a little bit and makes me think that people aren't being very critical. This is just a little bit negative because I'm not really a Phil fan and I thought that the live show was okay. I do have to say that the airport incident was a highlight, and I laughed at that. He told the story well. But after the story I didn't feel much inclination to stick around and was bored. (Maybe this is a review for non-Phil stans).

Honestly, always. I think I stipulated on mine that this was a liveshow I'm happy with as long as it isn't the only one we get for three months. I wasn't judging it super harshly but I enjoy hearing opinions that disagree with mine. I think people were just so excited to see Phil back and talking and engaging with his audience that standards were low. That he didn't seem miserable to be there was basically enough.spaceguitar wrote:Does anyone want a negative review of the live show.
(The only time I would probably get grumpy is when all opinions are negative. But that's a personal thing. Even when I don't like something, I don't get anything out of everyone else agreeing with me.)

I think that we all wanted a LS so badly that if Phil just sat on screen for 45 minutes not saying anything, we would have all be happy. We just missed the interaction that we have not had for 3 months so standards were set really low.alittledizzy wrote:Honestly, always. (The only time I would probably get grumpy is when all opinions are negative. But that's a personal thing. Even when I don't like something, I don't get anything out of everyone else agreeing with me.)

Hi There! I was kinda worried about so I went to take a look and... let me explain my situation first.kuensukki wrote:I just saw that on my computer wth??? I want to email younow and ask what happened to all his fans. He had 1.13 million last time I checked so Im really confused? Also no one else's was effected!Diyes_Celine wrote:
BTW. Didn't Phil have 1M fans in YouNow before? In my app, it shows he only has 97k fans.
I had an acc on younow with my current twitter but it had my name and my photo irl and I kept trying to edit it but I couldn't so about a week before I deleted my acc. Yesterday I quickly made an acc to catch the last minutes of ls and watched the whole think on yt after.
When you guys mentioned the followers thing I went to Phil's profile to see for myself and I wasn't a fan? But younow usually makes you follow everyone you follow on twitter? and I was following everyone I follow but him? idk it was weird.
My case was exceptional, I doubt there's a lot of people deleting and remaking their acc but it still was very weird, I'm pondering why the sudden drop on his younow subscribers and I have no idea but it must be something coming from younow because that's a f*ckton of people
Lol I really love this about Phil. He really only comes across this way when he's more excited and giddy in liveshows like he was yesterday. When he's being a bit more deliberate and seems to have less to say, he is more careful but I LOVE that he's actually quite stubborn and stern about things. Like when people asked to see the plants and he said one was in the kitchen but he wasn't going to get it because he'd have to get up. It makes me laugh, I just feel like it's a little less polished and a little more of an insight into the really rather sweet and genuine sort of person he is.opendoor wrote:Oh my god, the "that's what you get for having a bird" bit was so harsh I loved it.
More so than the comments he makes about lizards and weird things, I feel like he says those things to be funny, or for lack of anything else to say so as to try and be random and "AmazingPhil" and quirky.
