I love this so much and I agree - it's very Them. :love2:

In other news, P!nk released a new album last week and one of the songs gives off strong dnp vibes:
I'm actually working on a dnp's playlist on spotify, I could share it here if anyone is interested! :tu:

I like putting together playlists for things I'm working on, and for one project Memento Mori by Crywank and I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes) by the 1975 are some pretty Dan-centric songs for the project, and generally remind me of irl Dan. The Crywank song also has some slight Phil influence in it too, in the way it talks about losing loved ones, but only just a very tiny bit. Also I just love these songs a lot.

Here's a song that I've been listening to that makes me really sappy esp post coming out universe
:happytears:

Ultralife by Oh Wonder:

"Ultralife"

Lovesick the beat inside my head
Waves struck a sea of bitterness
Lights out solo in the blue
Before I found you

Days passed slowly, lost and low
You gave me hope and now there's only

Blood running in my veins
I've never been here before
And I got love falling like the rain
I never could've asked for more
I got so much soul inside my bones
Take a look at me now
I'm young forever in the sun
Ever since you came I'm living ultralife
I'm living ultralife
I'm living ultralife

Turn down the voice inside my head
Cause heaven only knows why we feel this emptiness
But I will climb out, find another view
Now I've found you

Days passed slowly, lost and low
You gave me hope and now there's only

Blood running in my veins
I've never been here before
And I got love falling like the rain
I never could've asked for more
I got so much soul inside my bones
Take a look at me now
I'm young forever in the sun
Ever since you came I'm living ultralife
Ultralife with me, ultralife with me
Ultralife with me, ultralife with me

Found me on a basement floor
Back when I had lost it all
Told me what the fight was for
And I'm not giving up no more
You elevate the life in me
Illuminate the in-between
Forever gonna feel this free
And I'm not giving up now

Lovesick the beat inside my head
Waves struck a sea of bitterness
Lights out solo in the blue
But now I've found you

Blood running in my veins
I've never been here before
And I got love falling like the rain
I never could've asked for more
I got so much soul inside my bones
Take a look at me now
I'm young forever in the sun
Ever since you came I'm living ultralife
(Ultralife with me, ultralife with me)
I'm living ultralife
(Ultralife with me, ultralife with me)
Oh, we're living ultralife
We're living ultralife
I'm living ultralife
(Ultralife with me)

I was listening to No Doubt, and I noticed that their song Making Out might work for like, early Phan. The lyrics hit so many points.

I was 19 and you were 23 and
We stayed in Number 4 Ferdinand Street
We spent five talking 'bout our lives
But we'd talked like that about a thousand times
And I'm bored of all that
You used to tell me that
Love is a lottery
And you got your numbers
And you're betting on me
You used to say that
Love is a game
But you got your numbers
And you're betting on me

Make It Stop (September's Children) by Rise Against

this song has always made me think of dan in a way, but even more so after his video, where we learned just how much he was bullied and for being gay specifically.

and it's just a great song in general with a great message that I wanted to share here, so if you haven't heard this before you should give it a listen regardless (it's from 2011 and it was made because of the teen suicides related to bullying and homophobia in september 2010. Most of you guys probably know the story about tyler clementi, who was one of the teens).

Trigger warning of course for the issues dealt with in the video.
