Also, "I Wouldn't Mind It" by He Is We. I need a Phan Edit with this song.
...Does this thread also applies to Japanese songs? If yes, well... Megurine Luka's "Just be Friends". I'll post Luka and Gero's version here because the original (Luka's version) is very upbeat and is the complete opposite of the meaning of the song, while Gero's... well, you know.

Here's my playlist, made up mostly of songs I'd never listen to outside of associating the lyrics with Dan and Phil! (Which is why they get their own playlist on my Spotify.)

I was listening to Malibu by Miley Cyrus (who I don't normally listen to tbh) right after their beach photos and now I can't listen to that song without thinking of Dan and Phil having a walk on the beach at sunrise (even though the lyrics technically say sunset)

True Love Waits by Radiohead always makes me think of them. I don't know why.
Intertwined by dodie makes me think of them too, just the title and some of the lyrics.
The Only Exception by Paramore - hits me hard every time.
House of Memories by Panic at the Disco, always. I saw an edit of them with that song and every time I listen to it it's always them I think of.

Doesn't look like anyone has said it yet but my number one phan song is Secret Love Song part 2 by Little Mix (it makes me cry everytime). It seems like it was 100% written for them!

That's So Us by Allie X always makes me think about Dan and Phil. There are definitely parts of the lyrics that don't work, but lines like "we've been a wreck together since 2009", or "wearing black at the beach, looking pale, feeling chic" are kind of spot on. My favourite bit in terms of associating it with Dan and Phil is this bit though:
"What I like about you, baby,
Is how you annoy me daily,
But you still fucking amaze me"

I think that Intertwined by Dodie suits them so well! Ever since I first heard that song, I always think of them (plus I love Dodie!)
The bolded lyrics remind me of Dan and his crisis and the impact that Phil has had on him in his life. Also, their relationship being hidden from the world.

Plus this fan-vid suits the song so well1Skin
Heat
Hair in your mouth
Feet touching feet
Oh you
And I
Safe from the world
Though the world will try
Oh, I'm afraid of the things in my brain
But we can stay here
And laugh away the fear
Numb
Fine
You create a rarity of my genuine smile
So breathe
Breathe with me
Can you drink all my thoughts?
'Cause I can't stand them
Ooh, oh
O-oh, oh, oh
Intertwined
Free
I've pinned each and every hope on you
I hope that you don't bleed with me
I'm afraid of the things in my brain
But we can stay here
And laugh away the fear
Hmm, hmm
Hmhmm

i'll probably do an actual list some other day, but i just wanted to come over and say dodie's new song makes me think of the boys in the saddest of ways. basically about how the audience's expectations/adoration can be stifling/overwhelming
can't help but imagine it as the boys' thoughts circa 2012, with the chorus as a sort of attempt at calming down
Holy frick, that song fits so well and it's such a bop as well?idkwhattowrite wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2017 6:49 pm That's So Us by Allie X always makes me think about Dan and Phil. Another song that somehow reminds me of them is Home Is Such A Lonely Place by Blink182, I especially love the extraterrestrial theme throughout it:
It feels like the moon
is spinning off into outer space without you
