I read three fics over the last 24 hours, and I loved all three, so here are recs in no particular order:

Feel upon my lips (the taste of you) (1.5k) by i-am-my-opheliac
Beautifully described emotions that keep you at the edge of your seat and you just want them (D&P I mean) to get on with it. It flows so well!!! And to top it all off it's perfect for the Halloween season :candycorn:

if none of this goes anywhere (1k) by templeofshame
This fic just broke me completely? I rarely cry when reading, I cried while reading this. DON'T GET ME WRONG - IT'S NOT ANGSTY. It's just so beautiful in every sense of the word. I have no words, please read it and see for yourself.

liminality (1.5k) by dizzy
This is a fantastic, subtle fic that made me feel a lot. Mandy's characterization is always spot on, and this one has such a bittersweet take on Phil who is lonely (for reasons you wouldn't expect) and finds comfort in Dan. Amazing fic.

A really good WIP has just finished: Shapes and weights to choose by queerofcups.

It's an a/b/o fic where Dan's a sex toy blogger and Phil's a nearly-retired porn star. It talks about a lot of different queer themes and is also super hot.

Virus by Lackless is set in a dark dystopian future where Dan is a hacker who finds some mysterious old technology. The worldbuilding is beautiful and the story is amazing.

I am not sure if this has been recommended before because it's from May, but I just got to read it. (Side note: Where did 2018 go? When did time start passing so fast)

Hey guys! I don't have a rec for you yet, but I'm hoping to soon! I saw a really cool post in another fandom I follow compiling a list of everyone who posted a fic for the first time in 2018 to showcase the ‘writers class of 2018.’ This seemed like such a great way celebrate all the folks who posted for the first time in the past year and find some new fic to read, so I thought I could do one for the phandom!

I've made a tumblr post if you want to see the full info there, or reblog to help spread the word. I've also made a google form so people can submit their info to me. I'm just asking for tumblr/ao3/whatever username, a link to a fic they want to self-rec, and the date they posted their first fic. Once I've got all that (ideally by Sunday, January 13th) I will compile it all into one post celebrating the 'phanfic writers class of 2018.'

If you posted your first phanfic in 2018, congrats and please fill out the form if you want to be included! If not, please feel free to spread the word! Thanks! <3
it's a useful thing

Thank you for recommending this, it made me cry my eyes out which was exactly what i needed yesterday (then the cats I'm cat sitting both came and laid on me and that made me cry even more lol).

Another rec while I'm here: to roll with what comes by symmetricdnp. Phil ends up with a soul bond to the handsome barista down the street.
