That cute dogs video at the end absolutely made it! Love seeing a photo of them all—I don’t know what those pants Dan is wearing are but they look comfy and I like that—kinda strange that they all seem to be laughing in Martyn’s direction and Martyn’s just staring like I Don’t Know These People.

Actually, the plot referenced in noodlebum's post includes all men, not just cis men. I did the analysis, and it turns out that only 0.62% of last year's survey participants identify as cis men.

Did it appear anywhere in the stats, or could it be calculated, that how many of the survey takers identified as gay male? I'm just thinking about the relatability factor here, because now we have two out gays guys, and it would be great if they had more peer following, at least more than the zero-something percentages.

This is only people who took the time to take the survey, and you're excluding the trans gay men from your number (I am sure D&P consider trans gay men to be exactly as much gay men as cis gay men); there are definitely gay and queer men around, on IDB and in other areas of the phandom. Might well go up with the influx of new attention , but it's not like they haven't been perceived as queer men throughout the phandom for ages of glass closetiness.

To the previous question about multiple answers that's too far back for me to find and quote, I suspect it's pretty common for people to check both bi and pan, and queer in addition to any number of other things (and probably most people checking demi would check something else). I imagine I checked bi/pan/queer/acespec/demi, personally, so it seems pretty easy to get multiples to me.

I'm curious about this; are you thinking she's doing music full time now? I guess maybe they have enough money for that to be feasible, but they also spend an awful lot... (I guess I have been shut down before for wanting to talk about M&C on the main thread, but there's nowhere else to...)

Dan and Phil sharing their coming out stories will hopefully and probably be helpful for everyone who isn't cis and straight, and perhaps even for those who are.

The surveys we have right now were all completed before the official coming out videos, so if their demographic gets even gayer, we'll see it in future surveys (assuming the people running the surveys still have the time next year, etc, of course!)

This striking result made me wonder if there were differences among survey participants in experiences of sexuality and romantic attraction based on gender identity, so I did that analysis too.

She could be? TBH, we know very little about Cornelia, so she could easily still be on the team and just not in this photo. But she could also be fully pursuing music, or focusing on another passion, or studying for a new career. Don't really know much about her outside of the time last year when she took that trip to rediscover herself. I'm kinda just pulling guesses from that.

(I think it's ok to venture a bit off topic, esp when it relates to a photo of D&P and their team that was just shared.)

I don’t know who the woman in red is but I do know that Ryann, Sarah, and Lauren are project managers who interact directly with the clients. Cornelia might not be a project manager. I do know she went to that convention where they were supporting a creator who started working with irl as of the time of the picture she was still involved

I'm glad irl revamped their boring website to something that is quite well done but I wish they would use the website like dftba does because...idk. I've never had a bad shopping experience with dftba, it's all nicely organized and easy to find things. I just hate paying their shipping prices. I'm still pissed that they wanted to charge £7 to ship ONLY stickers to Canada. £7 for paper. Where do they get off on that? Lol.

Anyway. I'm hyped for the merch and for the potential Dan BBC bit! I wonder if it's going to be today or in the morning tomorrow. Hmm.

Loving this!! Can't wait to see what the actual merch will be. Curious if there are any constellation nerds here who might know what these are/ if they have any meanings or mythology?? Just saying, if they were somehow versions of gemini and aquarius that would be... pretty cool.
