Why not explicitly state his POV as far as it's affected his life (leaving phan out of it) rather than speak in ambiguous terms and then delete almost immediately? Whatever his reasoning, for the king of social media, he did not handle this well.

Since Tyler/Troye has/have already said Troyler isn't real (and the fact that it's obvs it isn't real imo)....what is there to be intrusive about regarding their relationship (or sexuality for that matter when they're both very much out of the closet)? That's why I think he was more referring to Phan. But again, that's just my opinion.

Tyler today was a classic example of 'the lady doth protest too much'. He said just a little more than he should have. Enough that it wasn't relevant to Troyler and too relevant to phan.

Re Tyler. It's at these times I feel bad for being so invested in D&P and invading their private life a bit more than what is maybe socially acceptable. Then I argue with myself that it's all just good fun and that I don't actually care what they do really because I just adore them too much. Idk.

I think it's Phil's hand on the right (he wears white vans) and Dan's hand on the top.

Re: Phil's video, I liked that he filmed sth in Florida but a bit confused about the storyline with the whole phone and key/lock details. Enjoyed it nonetheless!

Re: Tyler, ouch. Not a great way to handle it. Same as someone said, it's easy to accidentally reblog on mobile (or accidentally reblog immediately when you're trying to put something in drafts or in the queue) but even with that benefit of the doubt one doesn't just fall on the reblog button, it's likely he was intending to save it to his drafts and screwed it up unknowingly. Or he has a secret phan side blog and forgot to switch it before reblogging

I really like Tyler/D&P's friendship, I've enjoyed all their videos together and they're some of the ones I rewatch all the time (actually weirdly just rewatched them all today while cleaning my apt), and I can't see him doing that as bait or out of malice or anything. That's not to say that once D&P catch on that he did it, that they won't be upset about it. I guess we'll have to see when they get to LA if Tyler is around and what the interactions are like Or is Tyler at Playlist? To be honest this whole thing made me a bit sad because I wouldn't have expected that from him.

Re: Cat's snaps, I simultaneously laughed/felt bad for D&P seeing them crammed into those bus seats practically straddling the seats in front of them with their mile-long legs, those poor giants. Also the image of Dan's ghostly face through his hood will haunt my nightmares now.

re: bus motion: you most certainly feel the motion, but you get used to it after a while. It's not as drastic as say, being on a public bus, but you're still aware of the motion. I used to love to take the bunk just above the generator, as the sounds of it churring created a wonderful brown noise sound that lulled me to sleep every night. I would have trouble sleeping without it after the tours ended. Perhaps dear Philly can benefit from things like this as well?

Thank goodness for Cat and her snapchat. Thought was wasn't going to get any D&P photos this year. At least they got to spend the night at IoA with frienda before embarking on their tour by themselves for 3 months all the photos are making me jealous. 5 months till I go!!

That Tyler reblog is a bit weird tbh. It isn't like Twitter where you can accidently favourite something easily. You have to go through a two step process to reblog something.. For an 11 week trip, when you've already had a "staying up all night before a trip leads to panic and forgetting things the next morning"?! and 2: if Phil was outside on the doorstep, he'd have not one, but two locked doors between him and their apartment. Motion-sickness inducing rides - I've had that issue. Don't get sick on boats/cars/coaches though, but those 3D cinemas they have at Epcot, and other places? Got so dizzy and sick I blacked out and came to surrounded by "Team Disney" in full-on emergency mode.

Brainwashing indeed. If they were any other two people on YouTube, nobody would have bought their bullshit.

I think it's safe to say that the majority of the invested fans are on the fence, yeah, but Dan and Phil have always been just manipulative enough to make even the biggest phan shipper doubt sometimes. I don't mean to say this in a negative way, it's quite a talent actually. Also, I was more referring to the casual viewers, of whom the majority ''ship it'' but don't actually think it's real.

Anyway, why do so many people in the phandom seem to hate Cat? I'll admit I'm mostly familiar with her through her Phan vlogs, I've seen a few of her videos without them and they're standard YT vlogs, nothing to write home about but also not offensive. I genuinely love her for what she provides us with & for how much she both seems to care for D&P and is cared for by them, but that's the extent of my giving a fuck. So why is she so much more hated by people than say, Louise? Is it just being a single attractive female that D&P like to spend time with? Or is there more to the story?

I've also wondered about this. I don't particularly like her or dislike her (she seems like a very normal human being) so I'm somewhat confused by this too. I've heard people say that she's really boring, but is it more to it than that? I feel like maybe some people dislike her for baiting viewers with D&P? Somehow I really doubt people here dislike her because she is a threat to "phan" though. In that case wouldn't Louise technically be more of a threat because she's a lot more flirty than Cat and she seems to have chemistry with Dan?

I don't like her videos and there is just something about her that puts me off her videos. Nothing to do with D & P at all. I am glad they have a good friend.

Things she said made it sound like she was "a rape apologist" and was very naive about the whole thing. I don't know about the phandom in general, because this forum is my ony connection to it, but i remember some people from here explaining once. They said she's still friends with luke conard (at least i think that's the one) who had some abuse allegations against him. Basically she stood by him, because she doesn't believe the allegations, correct me if i'm wrong please.
Also some people have a problem with how she has treated her dogs at some point. She must have locked them on the balcony for a longer time than would be healthy.
So yeah, i'm sure there are people here who know more about all this, i just wanted to point out that the cat-hating isn't about her being a threat to phan, at least here on IDB.

(Personally i'm neutral about her. I don't know enough about the luke conard situation to judge her and i don't know if there were other instances where her dogs suffered from her behaviour. To me it seems like she loves them and TRIES to take good care of them. And hopefully she usually succeedes.)
