It looks like the link to this forum on the GG offline blogpost has been removed, unless I'm mistaken.

I just checked and was still able to find a few people linking here, so they didn't remove all of them at least.

I just tried to find the address there since I'm on a school computer and cmd+f couldn't find any links censorship much? There shouldn't be any logical reasons to remove those posts. Even though I like to go through other Youtubers threads also I'm def not going back, this is ridiculous.

Gosh, this is worse than high school drama (which can get pretty hardcore btw).

I barely posted on GG but I read all the Dan and Phil threads and, even if we stay here, it would be very sad to see the old forum disappear. I'm phan af but I'll miss Jonquil and their feels-crashing essays
Also, the first Project attraction thread was pure gold.

As some other posters have mentioned, I'm also curious about the false rumors about Dan and Phil that Gabz was spreading through PM. Would anyone like to elaborate a bit more, please? (If so, thanks!! )

The posts haven’t been removed, they are still there, just under the load more... part. You have to click on that a few times and you will find it.

I don't think any of those are the original post though. Wasn't there one that just said something like "people are reconvening here for D & P chat" and showed up in the first batch of comments (cos I definitely wouldn't have found it otherwise)? Maybe I'm imagining things idk

I'm sure some of them have been removed, because the earliest post I could find was dated yesterday. Still there were about four other posts linking here, only those are a bit harder to find. Not sure if those won't get deleted as well.

Can confirm the original comment is not there. It used to come right before the "oh thank christ" comment. I reposted a comment in the D&P comment thread last night. But yeah, a lot of the links to this site are still fine...just not the original one, and maybe a couple of others. We kind of spammed the thread though lol.

What a mess of a site, the mods were so annoying and had to edit every single reply practically making it hard to follow along. I hope GIS goes down, her sketchy information was a pain to follow.

I think the popularity of GIS's bulletin/round up posts about Gabby's vlogs went to her head. I think she thought she was the Queen of the thread, and the rest of us were the little people - especially when she became a mod.

I'm not sure where it stands in regards to new rules though, that many didn't sign up with and agree to. It's probably worth remembering though that websites aren't public property, they're owned by somebody and can essentially be run with any rules they like, including the right to change them without users knowing and insisting they signed up with them because there were still some sort of rules there to begin with. But the posts in the off topic were a bit worrying indeed.

I'm waiting for when a mod will see the link and try to get this forum shut down. That's what happened a few years with the Joey site, but I guess if YTT is still up then the GG staff isn't as petty as it once was.

Not too sure, since they weren't successful in shutting down the Joey site. Early on when the site was first made, we received notices that content was being reported to the host site (TOS violations). The reason we suspected it was a mod was because the very mod we were rebelling against left some cryptic, passive-aggressive post about how we should be careful what we post in the new site. I also recall their being some drama with Morgan and some other users who tried to branch out with their own site.

Also, they didn't want us to ever reference GG on the new site, but I think it was just a scare tactic because once we got tired of censoring ourselves, they didn't do shit about it. Basically the GG staff are bullies!

Yeah it does not make sense if they have the "authority" to do so; I am quite sure they also don't have copyright to the stuff posters post there (correct me if I am wrong).

I'm a long-time Lurky-McLurker and I remember when YTT was first being started Morgan tried to DDoS the site... left them alone eventually.
Although maybe we should have a contingency plan/meeting place just in case of emergencies (e.g. reddit).

It was posted by the cult leader under another username but removed a few hours later. By now it should be expected that the rules of GG are 'mods can delete whatever and whomever they don't like'.

So far as I can tell it's not against the rules (you can't link to porn, viruses, or pirated material, but that's all it says you can't link to), but then again, I also can't find lovely ol' Rule 3a anywhere on the Rules list it links to, and somehow I don't have a whole lot of faith in the strict adherence of everyone to those rules...

Funnily enough, on the list it links to - not a single part of "Rule 3a" shows up. However, if you go to the "Site Rules *Read Before Posting* topic, the first section "Moderators have the right to edit and delete posts as necessary based on the previously stated rules." does show up, however the part about Mods being exempt from all rules is nowhere to be seen.
