It seems like there are a fair number of phanfic writers here on IDB, and there are probably some would-be writers too, who lack only inspiration!

And I'm sure that deep down, we all have a secret longing for some specific kind of fic to exist...here's the place to possibly make that dream a reality — A thread for people to post phanfic requests! Be bold! You never know what you might inspire to be written.

YESSSSSS. I have a deep desire to see a really long, epic length plane crash fic in the phandom. I feel like I've found and enjoyed this fic in other fandoms, the P!ATD fandom has an amazing plane crash fic by behindthec I think, and I need one for Phan. I just can't write myself lol I'd have no hope. But maybe a bunch of YouTubers are on a plane on their way back from playlist and they crash and have to survive for months?

Also, Dan with curly hair, cut off jeans, deeply tanned and with no shirt. Mhmm.

Hi I have two requests lol please don't judge me for them:

1)
A story where Dan has a rocky relationship with his parents/family. Not like they’re abusive or neglectful or even necessarily bad parents. But Dan doesn’t get along with them, or is bitter/resentful toward them, or something. It could be AU or not (though in my heart of hearts I’d prefer it to not be). Maybe he hangs out with the Lesters. Maybe he talks to Phil. Maybe he just mopes. Anything’s fine, really; I just want a bit of parent-related angst.

2)
2009 fic where Dan has self-esteem issues and feels like he’s whoring himself out on Dailybooth by posting nakedbooths, but also fears it's only reason anyone follows him. He and Phil talk about it on Skype. (Maybe told from Phil's point of view?)
More details under the spoiler, but if anyone actually writes this, PLEASE feel free to take liberties or change things if you so desire!

Okay, this might be weirdly specific but I really want this story to exist. Basically I want a story centered on the comments Dan made on his Dailybooth in 2009 about how doing nakedbooths made him feel like a prostitute. It would be set before Dan and Phil met in real life, I’m thinking around the time of either Dan’s shower nakedbooth (400 followers) or his gaming nakedbooth (300 followers). I imagine it would be something like Dan and Phil are on Skype, and either Dan confesses to Phil that he kind of feels like he’s prostituting himself, or else Phil confronts him about the comments/captions he made where he mentions it, and then they have a discussion about it.
I think deep-down I want this to be from Phil’s POV. I think that would be really interesting, to have him like…idk, feel guilty, or uncertain, or something. Because come on, I’m sure he liked Dan’s nakedbooths, and encouraged Dan to make them, and stuff. idk. But it could be from Dan's point of view too of course, if you prefer.
(Also I know they took one last nakedbooth when he hit 1000 followers, but that was at Phil’s house, and Phil took was involved, so maybe that one felt different lol.)

ok so i have a thing for friends with benefits/open relationships/relationships that are kinda weird and don't fit a specific category, but the problem is that in the phandom most of these fics are so fucking angsty??? and they always end up w deppy figuring out their shit and being in a normal romantic relationship???

Well my request is... I'd like to read some accurately sorted Hogwarts AU fic. Don't get me wrong, slytherin Dan and omg such cinnamon roll hufflepuff Phil is nice to read, but I'm really intrigued about a fic that would have "more real" Deppy in it. Other than that, happy ending, please
I didn't think of story, but it would be cool if it lined with the actual books and show The story from other people's POV.
I also sometimes have ideas for Deppy Mass Effect au, coz I'm gamer trash and they are Londoners.

I never wrote fan fiction until I found them either and have now written a Japhan fic, and started one for this song, never finished it though.... So I agree for your request.

My problem with RPF is that I tend to project what I perceive is their current situation; and I just can't indulge/immerse in angst when I feel they are so far from that now. However I can totally buy it if the storyline was a few years back and it was a flashback.
