That was fun! My random thoughts in kind of a messy order:

-I was surprised that the shirt was blue! but it was a look. It looked a lot more pure blue on my laptop but like an aqua green-blue on the insta story?
-Side note, I'm gonna need some analysis on that insta story, the wood floor? Where was this set up?
-I enjoyed the chill music at the beginning and end and that it wasn't just the same stuff Phil usually uses.
-I noticed early on that Phil wasn't doing the scene changes/bringing images up, wondered if it was Dan at first, turns out it was a guy from the place that makes the quiz app, Kieran (Cieran, Keeran, idk)
-Also interesting to see the little tablet (ipad?) set up for him to read responses off of. I wonder if it was supplied by the quiz people cause it had a cover on it (that looked like it also made it easier to hold) and I'm not sure if deppy have any tablets and if they do, we've never seen one with a cover on cause they're chaotic like that.
-Everything worked pretty well for me, no sound/image issues, however somehow my points didn't start actually counting until like halfway in. So I counted myself and got 34/45 points, 22/27 questions right. Honestly, I don't really care, I'm not invested in the prize-ness of it, I was just there to have fun and challenge myself. I am however disappointed in myself that I got the Uni robe question wrong. Apart from the number of socks one that was the only Phil question I failed.
-The laugh about bonking toad really threw me off since my main online name is based of of toad and it is a common nickname for me. Thanks, I hate it.
-Edit: forgot to say, I got the dice one but I totally cheated by taking a picture of my laptop screen with my phone. Look, I'm just using what I have at my disposal, nobody said it wasn't allowed. Fight me.
-Shout out to the doorbell going off. I would also like to hear some doorbell analysis. First appearance of Dan Voice.
-Phil saying acht like 'act' please Phil, you hurt my german speaking heart just a little bit.
-Dan playing along and proving that he is still Phil trash #1. Although he ended up getting one question wrong, I think the corgi race one.
-One of the last questions about a town near where Phil grew up, Phil read out one of the 3 answers as 'Ramsass' but I only saw the other 2 answers come up? I wonder if the app automatically censored it because of the ass lol.
-Everything went amazingly smooth imo, the only real planning slip-up was when the whole dog race clip played again, rather than just the race part. Phil worked hard on this and I assume having the guy from the app there helping out probably made things a lot smoother as well.
-Phil being horrified by the Seahawks mascot. My extended family would be so ashamed of you Phil.
-Classic Phil not liking the idea of death and loosing people (or beloved birds)
-Overall, very fun! He didn't mention active plans to do it again which makes me kinda sad but we'll see! I could imagine doing it with prizes all the time wouldn't be super sustainable but tbh I would be happy just to watch something like this as a fun interactive liveshow with maybe a little more short anecdotes in between questions, and just get scored for shout outs and the personal satisfaction of getting questions right.
-Also cheeky discount code for APshop, but not for ocean merch. Perfect way to get people who want some of the new merch to add in some old stuff as well. This man knows his business.

I do hope we get an AP vid tomorrow or sometime early next week.

Based on how professional the company is yeah I'd guess it was someone with the quiz site there to ensure everything went smoothly.

I didn’t realise at first but listening to clips back you can hear him (Mike) say that “dan doesn’t count” so yep I agree someone who helps with the site

I think he thanked someone called Ciarán (...or however their name is actually spelled) from the quiz company before thanking Mike, so presumably Mike would be the manager Mike. Unless I hallucinated that part.

That was more delightful than I expected, and good on him for having actually decent prizes. I would not have had personal use for the merch set (though it was cool) but would happily have received a Switch lol

The quiz seemed fairly professionally done and ran reasonably smoothly for me; I did have some lag after the first few questions (like when the doorbell rang, so hopefully someone captured that part) but was able to answer all of them. I think I managed 35 points? I’m most disappointed in having got the surgeon mouse question wrong because that’s one of the ones that I could’ve known and wasn’t chance!

I don’t have the words for Dan almost winning the whole thing, like. Of course it’s the least surprising thing in the world but still I cannot believe them. Lmao @ Dan getting the sock drawer q wrong and losing his lead when he’s the only one who actually can access Phil’s sock drawer.

even quite aside from that, that was a real joy - I was thinking earlier about Phil's proto-quiz during one of his liveshows (with the bow tie), then the charity one, and how it was clearly something he loved and wanted to do more of, and now he gets to - a format where he gets to interact with us and have fun without it just being a standard liveshow (which he's been trying to add structure to for a while, so a quiz is a natural progression really). Having the 'professional' help meant he could relax and enjoy himself, too - I assume the other peeps were on Zoom or similar?

He looked like he was having so much fun, and of course it was wonderful to hear Dan being his usual dramatic self in the background; and *of course* he was winning until the bonus round ("hubris!!! why!!!"). I love how Phil didn't know he was gonna play! Thank you doorbell, as well.

I don't know if it's something he plans to repeat or not but I'd love to see that, or something like it, again!

I loved that so much! Live Phil is always my favorite but I really enjoyed today. He seemed nervous at the start but about 2 questions in he seemed to find his rhythm and he did so well. I hope there are more quizzes and if he’s really serious about this host thing he could submit clips of this to prove how fun he is because with some more experience he’d be great.

That really was so fun! I'm wondering though...does this kind of confirm they share the moon room? The living flat has 2 bedrooms and that's where the quiz seemed to be filmed. So maybe that 2nd bedroom is used as an office/filming space?

I loved that! I only caught the first four questions before I had to leave but it was fun anyway. I hope he does it again/something similar. I think Phil never really thrived in the super casual flow of a typical liveshow, and a more structured live environment is so much better for him. You could tell he was having a good time! I feel like Phil seems so authentically himself this year and I love it.

Ok nerds listen up. Here's what I've compiled so far looking at where the quiz was filmed today.

Under the cut since I've been making a lot of long posts and I'm feeling self-conscious.

You can see in Phil's insta story from today that it's pretty clearly the wooden floor and a big, black desk. It has the hanging blue and orange square chain things to the right side. He was also sitting in the butt chair.

I think the greenscreen video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiwdGmaRr8U) was also filmed in this space. You can see the same orange/blue things at 0:49.

If this is where the greenscreen was, it would make sense that this is also where Phil did his liveshows last year, since he used a greenscreen background for those. iirc Phil also used the butt chair for those liveshows, I think he mentioned it once.

The usual AP video background space has tile floors (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxzkLmp ... mazingPhil @ 10:35) and Phil usually sits in one of the colorful chairs (also in that video at 8:34 as well as other videos) that match the other ones in the filming kitchen (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzAPtsG ... mazingPhil)

Nope. The floor where Phil has done all his streams, the green screen vid and some photoshoots is the light yellowish wood of where they live. The dinof filming space (or glass closet as I like to call it) which is currently the AP filming space, has white tile flooring like the rest of the filming flat.

The real mystery is... where is Phil’s sock drawer? We haven’t seen any dressers.

Today was a great serotonin booster!

They moved Dan’s black desk, the butt chair, the red chair and the rest of his backdrop to the living apartment when Dan gave up being a full time YouTuber. Dan most likely filmed BIG in this room as we’ve seen the color filters on a lamp on the desk there.

This room is seen in Phil’s plant tour vid, where Phil is sitting in the red chair with a plant on his lap and the desk with Dan’s big D is to his right. This is most likely the room Phil exited out of in Giving the People What They Want when they wore each other’s outfits. It’s a second bedroom turned office/filming space. So yeah the moon room is the master.

The real mystery is... where is Phil’s sock drawer? We haven’t seen any dressers.

In phils second IG story you can see a tiny bit of the green screen showing. Also the glitter backdrop from the charity stream is under all the blue and silver fringe. This seems like the go to room now, photo shoots, liveshows, quiz and charity streams. I agree it’s the second bedroom. I was confused where did his liveshows and thought it was the same as his filming area for a while now but I don’t see how there would be enough space to keep a lot of this up most of the time. Now it makes sense.

Where is the sock drawer??? Now that's a good question. I feel like it must be either in a dresser in the moon room that we haven't seen (like to the right of the shoe rack, by the foot of the bed? Or it's part of some built-in drawers in a closet.

There is also something that looks a lot like today's space that Phil did some merch shoots in last year. With the green lighting setup shown in this story, I'd always assumed this was also where BIG was filmed, since it would've made sense if the lighting for BIG was done in the same way.

I have not yet checked the sound of the doorbell from today with the one from the mukbang, but I think it's the same.

Anyway, all in all I think it makes sense if it's some kind of office/video and photo background space in their living flat? Where they have some sort of thing that they can hang different backgrounds from like the glitter background from aquarius shoot and NHS stream, the streamers from today, the greenscreen and the BIG background. Also if it is the case, it means they really only use the filming flat for AP videos and the kitchen?? Like whyyyyy boys??

From all this I think it comes down to Phil’s quiz and probably his green screen Younows being filmed in the old danisnotonfire filming space behind the glass door. The same place Phil changed in Viewers Choose My Outfits. Thanks for all your analysis because I’m insatiably interested in stuff like this.
Nope. The floor where Phil has done all his streams, the green screen vid and some photoshoots is the light yellowish wood of where they live. The dinof filming space (or glass closet as I like to call it) which is currently the AP filming space, has white tile flooring like the rest of the filming flat.

They moved Dan’s black desk, the butt chair, the red chair and the rest of his backdrop to the living apartment when Dan gave up being a full time YouTuber. Dan most likely filmed BIG in this room as we’ve seen the color filters on a lamp on the desk there.

This room is seen in Phil’s plant tour vid, where Phil is sitting in the red chair with a plant on his lap and the desk with Dan’s big D is to his right. This is most likely the room Phil exited out of in Giving the People What They Want when they wore each other’s outfits. It’s a second bedroom turned office/filming space. So yeah the moon room is the master.

The real mystery is... where is Phil’s sock drawer? We haven’t seen any dressers.

Where is the sock drawer??? Now that's a good question. I feel like it must be either in a dresser in the moon room that we haven't seen (like to the right of the shoe rack, by the foot of the bed? Or it's part of some built-in drawers in a closet.

He could be using the dresser in the old AmazingPhil room, either still in that room or they moved that dresser to the moon room. We haven’t really seen any closets other than the gaming room, have we? There could be drawers in there.

I literally loved that so much. I did quite great until all the questions not related to phil cane up lmao... I saw tenet but had no idea fuuck. That surgeon mouse one was hidden so deep in my brain, but somehow I remembered that picture hah. Sometimes I forget I’ve been here for five years, joining in 2015 still seems SO late to me because I was such a ‘newbie’ when I joined - back then it seemed everyone had been there since 09, but nowadays it’s hard to find people who joined before 2016 tbh. Not that it matters

))

This quiz did make me very nostalgic though, it reminded me of them dropping in randomly in each other’s liveshows back in the days. Also, Phil is just SO good at being live on camera, wth. I couldn’t figure out if it was live until he started reading people’s names.

LIVING for this kind of analysis, yesss. This is my favorite type of IDB thing.

Also I love their dedication to the butt chair. I'm glad it's still getting some good use (and probably groping) in.

I watched the video Catallena uploaded as I didn't get chance to watch live.

I want more Phil quizzes now. Feels a bit like a possible replacement for the infamous gaming channel

There are only a few things that I really wonder about with the flat. I wonder where that deer bedding and headboard is that Phil showed in his video last year and I’m also curious about where they keep all of their personal stuff like that picture of David Boreanaz or the art Adrian gave Dan for his birthday last year
