Hello, this is my first post!
Phil’s tweet reminded me of when Dan said his furry hat was like a hug for his head. I think he might’ve said that in their Vegas liveshow?

Someone on tumblr said the penthouse is for sale. Can anyone verify? I don’t even know where they would have found that information.
Phil's tweet about slippers reminded me of that one liveshow story about how Phil wore Dan's slippers out onto the balcony and stepped on a slug in them and they were both horrified and Phil's soulmate-having ass googled if slugs mate for life to make sure the slug's wife wouldn't be sad lmao. Does anyone remember what liveshow that was from? It was a joint one I think.
Also I had a dream last night that deppy announced they were getting a dog and in doing that imply that they had moved. I really haven't been on moving hill much but now I need it to happen.

I'm not sure about slugs, but they talk about stepping on snails here:inanerat wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 4:39 pm Phil's tweet about slippers reminded me of that one liveshow story about how Phil wore Dan's slippers out onto the balcony and stepped on a slug in them and they were both horrified and Phil's soulmate-having ass googled if slugs mate for life to make sure the slug's wife wouldn't be sad lmao. [*][5:25] I agree with Dan. This comes up way more often than I think it should.[*][5:40] Dan is too precious for this world!Prompt: It's raining outside and you're walking in bare feet. You take one step forward and crush a snail between your toes. You feel:
D: I’d feel jealous.
P: Jealous that the snail wasn’t me.
D: “I wish I could crush myself!” Um.
P: Some people are sexually attracted to giant people, though, so you’d be like, “Crush me, Daddy.”
D: Literally way too many macrophilia references on this channel.
D: You know sometimes there’s loads of snails on a path--
P: Yeah.
D: --because of, like, rain or something? Well, once I went outside, and there were like thirty snails. And it stressed me out so much at how they were gonna get squished that I spent about an hour picking up every snail and putting it in a bush.
P: Awww! Snail savior!
D: And then inevitably they just crawled into the road again.

It’s from the liveshow on the 11/11/18. It’s 1:30 minutes into the liveshow.inanerat wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 4:39 pm Phil's tweet about slippers reminded me of that one liveshow story about how Phil wore Dan's slippers out onto the balcony and stepped on a slug in them and they were both horrified and Phil's soulmate-having ass googled if slugs mate for life to make sure the slug's wife wouldn't be sad lmao. Also correction it was Dan's soulmate-having ass looking up if snails mate for life and slug sex. Whatever. It was clearly part of a joint conversation. I hadn't been thinking about the snail one but it's a funny coincidence that Phil is wearing the same sweater in both that video and the liveshow in question. Also a funny coincidence that that liveshow is almost exactaly 2 years old now.
2018 joint liveshows really always started with dnp's domestic argument of the week, this one being 'you stepped on a slug in my slippers and then wore them around the house this is why I hate you' husbidiots is a great term.
Goddamn just listening to the two of them talk and bant really does make me miss them. They work off of each other so well

Here's my contribution to the 'this is how much I miss Phil' cause:
Dan is a big romantic sap, but doesn't show it often and usually does things like his little 'eugh' noise about something sweet (at least especially on camera) instead of being more direct about it. I think that's one of the reasons I relate to him so deeply, something about struggling with feeling comfortable expressing genuine and vulnerable emotions. Honestly I would love to hear him talk about that in the book.
Anyway, I was studying today and one of my readings for my communications class called me tf out and made me have lots of thoughts, so I'm sharing it here:
So tldr, you don't need academic theories to validate your experience, but if you're interested or it helps you, go for it. Doesn't mean I don't miss Phil real bad, but it does help me to look at the brain functions that lead to the intensity, I guess.
And looking at the larger timeline picture, I don't have as much personal experience because I wasn't around then but it makes TONS of sense that many people still experience a lot of emotionality and often hurt around current levels of dnp content, because the whole point of ii was literally feeding that need for immediate interactivity and connection, which was amazing and then it was let go of so suddenly to much more distanced and less frequent interactions.
Idk what I'm saying. Be compassionate with yourself and others.

Anyway, I was studying today and one of my readings for my communications class called me tf out and made me have lots of thoughts, so I'm sharing it here:
This is more directly in reference to like TV and books, but I think social media and things like yt fall in a interesting middle ground between mass media and individual communication. I feel like social media can often feed into our automatic investment in what we are consuming despite it's mostly one-way-ness. Our predisposition to crave that reciprocity mineral is strong and social media gives us that sometimes, and also doesn't, completely on other peoples' whims. The Narcotization Effect refers to the mechanics of human information processing. Our nervous system is engaged regardless of who is delivering the message. Essentially, our bodies do not know the difference between another human being and a television set. Our minds certainly do! Yet, we are always in sending/receiving mode, even with a system of media which is not in receiving mode.
Similarly, when we experience so much reception of emotion, intensity, multiple messages, etc. and can give nothing back and we have absolutely zero impact on that message while we are attending to it, we experience a perceptional/emotional "melt down." We experience a lethargy based on energy output with no result or action.
So tldr, you don't need academic theories to validate your experience, but if you're interested or it helps you, go for it. Doesn't mean I don't miss Phil real bad, but it does help me to look at the brain functions that lead to the intensity, I guess.

I don't know why but that video really hit me in the feels when I wasn't expecting it. I'm not sure if it's just a lack of DnP content I haven't seen before but seeing something 'new' makes me miss watching them interact as a pair so much more and sad that the likelihood of getting anything like that again is so slim, even just a single video. I still enjoy their content as individuals, especially Phil's so I'm pretty lucky as far as D vs. P content goes, but knowing they're out there having those same convos while keeping it mostly separate from us feels a bit like losing a good friend some days.Secretstanner wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 6:02 pmIt’s from the liveshow on the 11/11/18. Maybe I'm feeling particularly melancholy today but it was really bittersweet to watch
Edit: also totally in line with the post above haha
I know that there's like Moving Discourse™ (and truthfully, I think this is an old video filmed in their living flat kitchen), but this is what I wanna know!!
Are we getting bath bombs for merch?!?! OMG.

After consideration, my thought is that Phil has more merch dropping soon (he'd have to if anyone wants a remote chance of getting Christmas merch by Christmas) and so this was recorded a while back while he was testing it. I'm also not really complaining if he's doing a Cozy 2.0 drop. I can't say I have the budget for more merch of his right now but... I can hope if he drops stuff I like that I can catch a restock later on.
(I wish he'd do a Phil advent calendar. That I'd be tempted to buy. Sure the chocolate itself is probably cheap but the joy of opening something every day hits me in that childlike sweet spot.)

I'm sorry but why the FUCK did Phil think it necessary to post Japan memories? Uh?
Also the way my heart fell down to my ass reading "fluffy surprise" and seeing him holding a slightly unfamiliar dog before I realized it's Duncan and Mimei's.. pain I tell you

Me with my new belief that they officially celebrate their anniversary during this week (which was incidentally the 2nd time dan visited phil's house...)
