Can someone explain to me what that email explains. This is what I'm confused about. If the bus has 1 bed, what does that mean? That means that they were telling the truth?

It means the company that D&P rented from does not offer 2 bedrooms on one bus (nor does any company).
Which means either they were lying, or they were referring to the one bedroom on each bus as one having a tv and bathroom & one not, and implying that each of them split the bedrooms with Dan in one bus, and Phil in the other. Which is highly unlikely but I guess still possible?

I took Dan’s tweet to mean that there only was one bedroom that also happened to have a TV and toilet, and not that there was another big room that did not have those two things. But that is just my interpretation.

He doesn't say that there is only one bedroom, just that only one bedroom has its own tv and toilet. To me, the implication there is supposed to be that there is another bedroom lacking the tv and toilet. I would think if a bunk were involved it would have been been worded to say there is only one bedroom, without the emphasis being the tv and toilet, because of course a bunk wouldn't have those.

When you say "only one bedroom has a tv and toilet", you're implying that there is more than one "bedroom". Otherwise he probably would have phrased the whole tweet differently. Something about fighting to the death for the bedroom over a bunk. Just my take.

Yes I agree, it seems they suggested there were multiple bedrooms. I guess I got confused by all of the polls telling Dan to sleep on the roof and people suggesting Dan would be sleeping in a bunk

Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised that they use both bedrooms in both coaches for sleeping, especially during nights before the shows? They would need it more than Martyn or Cornelia, because they're actually performing on stage.

Another thing that struck me is that Dan seems like a person who is more of a heavy sleeper and who is not having a problem getting to sleep, while Phil can't sleep on the planes, has motion sickness, if he wakes after a nap has difficulty falling back to sleep etc.
If Dan is not a fussy sleeper at all, while Phil has problems, I wouldn't be surprised they just came to a mutual conclusion of Phil having the more comfortable option. Or they sleep together.

See, if they weren't so concerned with no-homoing, this would be a totally reasonable conclusion. But according to FS Leasing's official websites, the bedrooms in their Prevost 6 bunk models must come with the whole bathroom/ TV set up. Why then "fight" over the room for those amenities if the other bus comes with the same shit anyway? Of course, we can throw around what-ifs until we're blue in the waffle (wouldn't be a true phan discussion without it). Maybe they tweeted it just tweeted it for the banter and they are in fact spending the night on separate buses.


I just prefer to go with them being lying ass motherfuckers... but they're our lying ass motherfuckers.

Anywho, yeah, the tweet was weird. I would think Dan would have mentioned that there was only one 'bedroom' and the rest were bunks...it's rather suspicious how he didn't. He's smart, either he or Phil would have noticed/discussed that surely.

Hi and to the thread (again??)!

I think they addressed it because of the shitstorm that happened when people found out about the Japan bed situations. They found blueprints of the hotel and than finally Phil had to clarify that there were two beds. This situation has happened to them countless times including their stays in playlist, etc. I remember Louise making sure to show that there were two bed's and even Cat screaming in Anthony's vlog that they were not sharing!

The bed situation has always been something fascinating for the phandom because that would indicate something less platonic (not talking bus situation but in general). Now DP knew that fans were going to see their tour bus and see the plans (because we are sherlockians) and discover that there is one bed. To prevent being constantly pestered they addressed it to make it seem casual and to clarify things to a point where they won't need further clarification aka there are two beds/rooms. Of course, they kinda fucked up because we caught on pretty fast, and the slip-up with anonymous fan saying they said "me" at the same time along with no other bus having 2 bedrooms we now know that they are either sharing or that crash beautiful, depressing picture is true and Dan is squeezed into a bunk

I think DP take one step forward and two steps back. I remember I thought they would come out after the Christmas DITL because it was so domestic and so #married but we are still waiting for the inevitable. I think we have enough evidence to make some sort of assumption (phan is real ) but not concrete. That is the beauty of DP though. Their ambiguity is what makes them special. They know that we know that so now its a waiting game. Hopefully they'll clear it eventually so i don't become a shipper grandma
