Waking up and realizing yesterday was not a dream is truly wild. Feels like we've entered a new phase... the Post-Stereo Universe, if you will.

I also feel incredibly hopeful for the future (in what is maybe a futile way, given how we know D&P have historically gone about things), but after 2 years it's just really nice to know they're not closing the door on joint content. Like - we learned so much yesterday, I didn't even consider this. That Dan had the full opportunity to say, "The channel is over." And he didn't. So.... I guess I'll keep hoping.

I'm definitely still processing though. Like, one thing that hit me like a sack of potatoes yesterday, is how much happened while these two had already planned to and/or did buy and design a home. Things like:

• Every single comment in 2017+ Sims. (Wood vs Carpet, bathtubs at windows, etc) Time for a massive rewatch!!
• Dan literally saying Forever Home in a live show... knowing there was one half-built.
• The BONCAS - like, presumably, these two might have been emotional because they just paid a down-payment at this point.
• Dan's planned 2018 coming out that was pushed to 2019 (because the house wasn't ready so give him some time).
• Project Sphere

Etcetc and then everything in general: Like these two were designing a fucking Forever Home together when we were analyzing the number of beds in a Miami hotel room. BRB - putting on Clown makeup.

I honestly and truly have been floating on a cloud since last night. I can't believe d&p saved 2020

the forever home! the two of them talking about whether coming out has made their sex jokes worse their conversation about phil taking dan's sexy insta photo~ and how the entire experience Was Not sexy because phil spent two hours trying to line up a glass with dan's nipple! the dog discussion! the forever!!!!! home!!!!

they really... spent the last 3 years building and designing a house themselves. also the way they spoke about it. we bought a house, we made this decision in 2017, we designed it. I'm filled with so many feelings.

I sent a message to my (non-phannie) friends once the stereo was done saying that I felt truly emotionally fulfilled by that show. I think it's because... we didn't really know, 2 years ago, that joint content would be Done with and we certainly didn't know that they'd both come out and joint content still wouldn't come back. this feels, weirdly, like closure finally after all that - not that anything is ending, or that I'll stop following them. It just feels like... I had honestly thought we'd never get joint content again. it's so NICE to have something that I can truly appreciate and even if we have another long joint content break, at least I feel prepared this time. Idk I don't think I'm making any sense here.

I think I'm just happy that they really sat down and decided to mention all the things phannies have been talking about and I'm super impressed at how they managed to talk about themselves whilst still maintaining the levels of privacy that they're comfortable with? it never felt awkward and it really didn't even feel like they were hiding anything, but they still gave us only the details they wanted to and reinforced their desire for their own privacy. it's so nice that it feels like they've found that balance. although honestly I think you could argue that they'd found that balance in 2018, they just needed to Take The Last Step of coming out, so to speak.

but in this post-coming out, gay jokes galore universe, it's nice to see them together and so so comfortable - and I hope that that leads to more joint content - the way dan spoke about it was so promising. because the thing is... they really are so good together at what they do. this whole show proves it, they bounce off one another in such an incredibly entertaining way and they're a delight to watch. they can literally just talk about nonsense and they're still a delight to watch together.

I'm just feeling really fulfilled, as someone who has watched their videos for... seven years now or something equally wild. I feel so happy for them and so fulfilled as a fan who has been invested in the content they've given us.

also - phil's incredible, visceral excitement for dan's projects is one of the sweetest things on this planet. I love that he was the first one who got to read dan's book too. it's just so wonderful to see this, in conjunction with all the ways that dan still helps phil out with whatever he needs. that constant support and behind the scenes teamwork is just... really lovely to see.

I loved your post sosososo much! And especially agree with the bit I bolded. It really is super fulfilling. Their comfort levels in the way they talked about these things: the house, the "sexy" insta picture, even the adult movie star delivery man? It was SO definitive. All of it felt so... forever. UGH. Also agree with you on Phil's excitement re: Dan's book. It was genuinely so cute!! He wants to celebrate Dan and tell everyone what Dan's been up to. ok a few things. HI! It has been a while.

First can someone tell me what the significance of the poppers joke moment was? Is it a euphamism I don't know?

Second....this was amazing. as a post BIG phannie, this experience was like, transcendental, I can't even imagine how everyone who has been here for a while feels. Hugs all around. Seriously.

Other thing: I love how excited Phil is to spill the beans on Dan's stuff (and I might be alone but I don't think that the one with lots of people is a book tour, since Dan said the book was meant to be the last thing. I'm thinking more about Dan's trip to LA, and what that might mean in move of a tv/movie/show production land?). But I'm also a bit sad to hear that the things Phil has pitched haven't worked out. My family bought a newbuild, and when they bought it, the building company had built the shell of the house (the outside walls, roof, windows, doors, cladding, stairs etc) then my mum had to choose where the interior walls would go and plug sockets, light fittings, built in cupboards etc etc
So that sounds very similar! I know other people who have done similar too all over the country (England) in different style houses (semi detached and detached houses) so I don't think that limits the location!

Like the bants just feel like home with the smallest bit of difference in such a good way that is hard to articulate. It feels so, so good?? Like idk it feels like they are finally making choices about what they share purely based on what the want to keep private, for themselves just because they want to instead of what they had to keep private in order to keep themselves in the closet.

It feels like a change of boundaries coming from a caring rather than a fearing place and it feels so good and so healthy and so comfortable like I am so glad for them and us that they (and we) can have this.

They did say it was a new build so it doesn't seem like a remodel to me. My only thought was that when they talked about the BDSM house Phil said that it was the one in London, which makes me think that they at least looked at places in other areas too. I feel the exact same way and it reminded a bit of the Interactive Introverts Commentary where they sounded way more relaxed and sincere which is something I had never actually heard from them ever, not even in the Mukbang, which yeah... lacked more of their personas but I also sensed some kind of nervousness from both of them there. I wonder if not having a camera pointed at them helps them in a way, maybe it allows them to not hold back too much? Like, I know that they recorded the Stereo ls on camera too, but it's not quite the same as making a proper video/liveshow. Idk, i just find interesting that the times where I thought "wow, they're really sounding different here" are the times where they were on audio only. And now more than ever I am sure that they would be great to listen to on a podcast. I am also aware the possibilities of it becoming a reality are low, but damn, they have this capacity of being entertaining and they bounce off each other so well that I hope they will consider it, at least.

So based on context it sounds like they are staying in London, given the fact they couldn’t touch the exterior, but were able to gut and redesign the interior—I’m guessing they’re dealing with a row house or something similar that probably has historical architectural protections limiting facade work. Did anyone interpret anything different—doesn’t sound like they’re moving to the country or even another city?

They did say it was a new build so it doesn't seem like a remodel to me. My only thought was that when they talked about the BDSM house Phil said that it was the one in London, which makes me think that they at least looked at places in other areas too. Why would he otherwise specify that it was in London? But who knows, could just be a word flub.

My first thought when he said that was that he meant in London as opposed to when they were flat hunting in Manchester for their first place but the more I think about it more I'm wondering if it is that they looked for places outside of London. I genuinely can't see them leaving the city though, I think they really do like their life their (partially based on them projecting their preferences into devan).
