DAMN. I forget that their schedule is that crammed and hectic. It's insane especially that they are not used to this kind of lifestyle. I follow PTX's world tour and they have a better schedule than Deppy. Will Deppy survive? Phil really looked so tired/sick. (It hurts me to see Phil like that. Someone get him his iHop.) With this schedule, I am now sure that they really are cashing in while they're one of the most popular YTers. But they pushing themselves to their limits. I highly doubt they can do anything during or after the tour.

I really hope someone convince them of getting Snapchat or Periscope (since they love their Twitter). I just miss their ls.

Plan after tour: I was thinking that they plan to move out their apartment on August because they're no longer on tour, their lease ends by August and the radio show (hopefully) starts on Sept. But I guess they'll be too tired to do anything.
I found a pastime while waiting for . Watch MattxBlue's vlogs then imagine that they are because 1) they are cute together 2) they banter like Deppy 3) they have a dog 4) they have a garden 5) they have the cutest son. I'm such a TRASH. ugh. I highly recommend this video.

Their characteristics are too different; I did try at first but I'll be like nah... Dan won't be as savvy as Matt, nah... Phil is too uncoordinated to do what Blue did  However I still can imagine a more subdued British lifestyle similar to M&B.

Darling emma please be sober so you can remember every detail and try to get a cheeky photo of their american blazers ;) Been loving the photos you've posted on twitter, wonderful to see you gals having a blast

M&G account from howellzor on tumblr: (two long pics behind the spoiler)

The relevant bit on this thread specifically being:
howellzor wrote:I couldn't really talk to Phil bc DAN kept talking to me
To a certain extent Dan might always take the lead in M&Gs, but I've not seen anyone comment on it in quite that way before, I wonder if he's stepped it up a bit if Phil is actually ill?

also i'm still kinda unclear on when exactly to use which threads but this seemed relevant to discussion here so i hope that's okay?

I've been seeing some comments about this, and I was just wondering if it's confirmed then? And how is it you know??

I don't know why but to me that's actually cute :D

(sorry if my English is not so good)
i think it was an assumption from our part for a long time, because there is having good and bad skin days and there is having completely flawless skin one day and having all your moles, freckles and discoloration of the skin the next day.

and then there's the sneaky bottle of that chalky Rimmel foundation in the audiobook promo video so there's that

Ohh this sounds like i'm reading dan for having bad skin but he doesn't really! he seems to have pretty good skin just needs to moisturize more (like Phil)
following this up with examples!

in louise's vlog, the difference from 2:12 to 2:42 is something i feel like only makeup could do:
and in japhan, when dan puts the camera up to his eyes at 2:50, you can see what looks very much like concealer on a blemish:
and then there's the rimmel foundation in the background of this video.

in any case, 4 for dan coco for wearing makeup. he does it right in my opinion and it does what it needs to, he looks great! (not that he needs it, but y'all know what i'm sayin'~)
I think there's not much detective work needed to confirm this (though good detective work is always appreciate) as I'm pretty sure Dan himself confirmed wearing it on a panel at some point? I think it was the same one where he accidentally says Phil when he means Tom right after that moment where Tom's talking about closeted Youtubers, which is one of my favorite freudian slips of all time. Anyway, I think that's the one, but don't have time to rewatch it right now, sadly.

At first when I read that Dan said "I like your ears!" I was like wtf...they're changing up the recycled compliments  ....Then I realized he probably meant the fake ears worn for the picture

Are they tired/run down/ill? Maybe. I have a feeling it would be all over twitter/tumblr if that was the case...
Was the M&G lighting absolutely horrific? Definitely.

The lighting in the meetup is bad but Phil looks really worn out. Dan only looks a little tired and they're under the same lighting. Makes me feel like defense squad to say this  but their busy schedule is worrying. When I first saw it I thought they must be either mad or really underestimating the size of the US. Do hope they'll take care of themselves. :|

Really starting to feel this content drought too. This part of the main thread has lasted a record amount of time and this is the slowest IDB has been since it started. To be fair that's not saying much since IDB only started a little more than a month ago. Of course they should place their wellbeing first but if they filmed a few gaming videos it'd be nice to get one soon.

i do think tho that regarding phil looking more tired/ill/run down/whatever than dan, the fact that in all the m&g pictures (that i've seen anyway) dan is looking directly at the camera while phil is looking at the screen of the phone makes a difference? often the "light behind the eyes" that ppl talk about disappears when your eyes aren't looking directly at the camera (if ppl don't know what i mean i can try to find example pictures)

phil looks like he could be a bit sick/a bit more tired, but i do think that him not looking directly into the camera is exacerbating the effects

OMFG. Had the same feeling when I saw karma_yeah's excellent spreadsheet with all the miles for the first time. Seeing it all written down, coupled with Phil's appearance in the recent m&g photos, is worrying to say the least. Also, wtf is up with shows during the 24th-29th May period? Is it correct? No breaks for six days? Do they actually want to ruin themselves?

I'm in two places at the same time right now.My selfish consumer side just wants any kind of interesting content (just a little bit, not even liveshows necessarily), while my concerned motherly side just wants them to stay inside for three days, go under a blanket and take a shitton of vitaminC so that they can have a chance of surviving it all ;)

It might also be that Phil's travel sickness has been wearing him down? They really need some Berocca
Their tour schedule is absolutely nuts. I understand not wanting to drag it out any longer than it needs to be... but still. Cramming so many shows into that time frame is just...

I really wanna supply them with sheet masks for their face.

Phil looks soo puffy, like a Kirby. I just hope they are sleeping enough. :(

But who the fuck am I kidding? I'm mostly just the rotting banana peel at the bottom of the phan trash can who genuinely gets excited over the thought of them snuggling in bed. Idgaf let a bitch live

It's the behind-the-scenes of the tour. The girl they interviewed called it a documentary in her tweet, I think, and people have probably got mixed up thinking a documentary is another bigger thing.

so something happened yesterday that brought me back to the "potentially moving"/buying a house/buying the flat thing.

I'm not sure how rent/leases work in the UK but most places here in the US for apartments and stuff work on a year/multiple year contract and my landlord came by yesterday to do the "one month before your contract ends" check on the apt to see if we could re-lease it which reminded me of phil's video where their landlord walked in during filming to do a similar thing.

then I went back to look at their videos and the time they moved in to the mentions of the landlord all seem to point to a mid/late july move in.

if they are on a one-year lease type of thing still then that would mean that this mid/late july they'd have to renew (or....).

idk just something to potentially consider...

Fixed-term leases aren't really the norm over here, or at least not when I've been renting. It's more a case of you pay a deposit when you move in (equal to a month's rent) and then have to give a notice period when you decide to move out.
That "landlord randomly walking in" thing is actually illegal. They have to give 24 hours notice of a visit, else you're within your rights as a tenant to refuse entry. (Unless it's a genuine emergency)

Regardless of that, you got me thinking. Personally, the concept of ever babying them seems quite unappealing and unhealthy to me, so it’s something I’d like to avoid ever doing in excess. Even if just because they’re two grown-ups who made a serious decision to tour so should be expected to be well prepared to deal with the consequences now. And of course I’d like to believe they genuinely enjoy meeting fans and performing and therefore are more than happy to battle through the exhaustion.
However, as an invested viewer it’s quite difficult to not be at least a little bit interested in their general health and I suppose that natural concern, if it doesn't become too obsessive, shouldn’t be looked down upon.
So anyway, my question is do you guys in general (not just akui) think we’re babying them too much right now when we’re expressing concern with their hectic tour schedule and them looking tired? Where do you see the difference between a healthy and unhealthy ammount of concern for them?

^ tbh I just can't see them moving out any time soon. Especially if they are going to go back on tour after the US. Moving is one of the most stressful things to do and I wouldn't want to do it after being on the road for 2 months.

I hope they have some time to enjoy NY. I know they have got time after the two NY shows but they have to be in Boston the next day!

By the looks of it lots of yters are coming over to NY tomorrow, I can't find out why but lots of people are mentioning it!

Gosh Phil looks like death in those photos. He seriously needs some face masks to help perk him up a bit! Maybe Corneila has something they can use. I hope he hasn't gotten anything from Cat, she was sick at Playlist!

I think there is a big difference between expressing sympathy and babying. I would hate if I undertook a big project (possibly in part because of outside pressures) and the people who supposedly like me didn't care about how it was effecting me because I'm a grown-up who knew of the theoretical consequences tbh that perspective sounds like something my dad would say to me when i've bitten off more than i can chew. I think realizing how exhausted they are is actually humanizing and a dose of reality for when we are complaining about the lack of content.

I think a healthy amount of concern is just that; realizing they are probably a bit drained and making allowances for the drought, no matter how bored we are. an unhealthy (i don't agree with that terminology bc i personally don't want to assume I know what is healthy for someone else, but whatever) allowance is probably anything greater, like losing sleep over it or policing other people to be forgiving.

that said, dan and phil will survive and it is best to not hype anything up or start assuming that the tour will crash and burn because they look tired.

I don't quite think that this forum babies them too much, especially not compared to other branches of phandom. I think having concern for them as a fan who likes to see them doing well is natural, as you said, but it also doesn't eradicate my annoyances. They still could have pre-filmed more. They still could be using social media more, and better, to make us feel included. They are grown men who took this schedule on knowingly, who only have to survive it a couple of months, and who are being compensated beyond well for the temporary suffering.

Like, yes, totally, Phil looks exhausted during m&g and dealing with fans but he's also getting an average of $100 per hug and smile so I don't go overboard with sympathy. This is not Phil putting himself on the edge of exhaustion simply out of a desire to meet and be kind to every fan - he's doing it for money. Does Phil enjoy meeting and care about fans? Sure. Would he do this if not for getting paid? No fucking way. It's a job. Whether he likes it or not, it's a job. So I'm straddling the line between hoping they're sleeping and eating well and caring for themselves and not going overboard, and then on the other hand not being willing to let them off the hook for the responsibilities they took on themselves for this career/tour they've chosen and get paid exceedingly well for. They are adults, they'll be fine in the end. Fine and very, very rich.

Hahaha, for once i wasn't being sarcastic, i genuinely concerned about their health, and i feel sorry for everyone here who feel conflict between the content drought and concern about 's health. That's why i said poor babies, i want to baby everyone and .

In some case i feel the phandom is definitely babying them, (idb is better imo) in other cases, like this one, Phil looking exhausted and sick, is not. But idk babies each other as well. The whole phandom is basically a giant nursery.

I agree! He looks, umm, well fit I wonder how long before the phandom makes Drake famous in his own right.

I'm not into babying them. They're grown men travelling in luxury coaches, not fighting in the trenches of WW1. Having said that if Cat has made my cinnamon bun sick I will hunt her down.

Seeing the M&G videos and photos on updatedphan has killed my need for a VIP ticket. It's all lovely and stuff but it's so robotic and, I don't know how to put it ... getting them to pose in certain ways or wear props is so cringe to me. They're not Ken dolls.

Am I the only one who feels uncomfortable with it?

I'd rather they were sitting and signing things rather than those awkward af hugs.
