This is probably stupid but I’m confused about the premise of dystopia daily. At the start of the video, he says “in this last part of the episode” but it’s the start of the episode? He also said it’s the end of the pilot - which is usually the first episode in a show but this isn’t the first video in the series. So is he considering each of those videos to all be part of one “episode”? Does that means the series is over?? (I assumed Louise was filming one with him though..?). I like having content to watch but I don’t get it.

I’m confused by those things as well. I’m wondering if he’s making some sort of joke by these things being blatantly incorrect, or if he’s just trying to be casual and not make everything perfect.

He had mentioned somewhere that every couple of videos would comprise one "episode," so maybe now the pattern of video type starts over. Everything thus far was filmed together, and now the next set will probably be what he filmed the other day.

I think he might have explained it in the first video but each 'episode' consists of 4 segments, each in a separate video. I think the theme of each segment might be consistent (ie. monologue, guest, doing youtuber-y things, whatever you'd classify today as). I thought it made sense at the beginning when I assumed the segments would be posted over consecutive days or something but now, not so much. It's basically just a series of videos he will be posting during the tour that have rotating themes lol.

This definitely makes the most sense to me, and it lines up with what he's had time to already film since we know he did at least two days of DD filming before leaving for Canada. So we'll get Louise as the next guest. He also had people show their "blunder years" photos and dating profiles, so those are two ready made segments he's probably already filmed, and he mentioned more 'mascots' coming so he probably got someone with a dog or some other cute animal for another eye bleach section.

Man it's weird to realize Dan is actually busting his ass now. I mean, I think he always was aside from depressive periods, but now we can see the results of it and he's filming a lot.

If you want a mental image, I’m not sat under a canopy of burnt orange leaves, I’m actually in the office with the blind closed and breaking all social norms by eating a night cornetto.

So where’ve I been? I had a mini summer break from youtube stuff! Not for dramatic reasons I just like to take a break over summer if I can. Well I say a break - I have been buzzing around in the background helping a certain curly haired fiend.

Firstly I have been helping out behind the scenes (and in front of the scenes) a bit on Danny’s new show Dystopia Daily, which if you haven’t seen you must immediately close this and watch it and come back.

The new video has an adorable cat called Bird and saying hi was totally worth having an allergic reaction and violently wheezing for the rest of the day.

It was cool seeing Dan’s vision come to life and when I walked into that set it was literally like I’d walked into his actual brain. He didn’t actually tell me what to expect (except for preparing for the game we were playing) so I think that added to the chaos… I still don’t think the aubergine water was a good idea.

I’m also HOME ALONE as Dan has set off on his space mission. (get a ticket now if you can) Will I thrive alone or start rocking back and forth in a corner while talking to my hand? Only time will tell! I’m very tempted to start filling the house with colourful or metallic objects (..or both colourful and metallic) will they be shaped like pigs? Only time will telll. Will I keep saying ‘only time will tell’ at the end of every sentence? Only time will smell.

What is Phil watching this week??
I’ve dipped into the new 'Rings of the Rings, Rings of the Ring' and I’m kinda enjoying it! It’s nice to watch something a bit PG for once and go on a lil adventure with some dwarves and elves. They’re all VERY BRITISH though, I don’t know if it’s because I’m British but these are some real British British people.

Also checked out the new 'Dragon of Thrones' and I’m pleasantly surprised given how miffed I was about the original’s ending. As soon as they started playing that theme music I was like ok i forgive u have my cash.

Health wise I’ve had about 10% of improvement on the dizzy front so i’m taking that as a win. Let’s keep that spinning glass half full. I’ve got another appointment in a month so fingers crossed I get somewhere! (if I can walk in a straight line lol lol)

ANYWAY my conetto is now at the delicious tiny end bit so I’ll sign off and appreciate it in peace. I feel like I could have got a spon from cornetto out of this post.

I really hope when he's in Portland, Oregon he goes to Baby Ketten karaoke. All the rooms are different themes and they make completely original cuts of indie songs, stuff you can't find anywhere else as karaoke songs. Also it's all vegan bar food.

I don't think he'll have time while he's in Portland because I think he's hitting seattle the next day, but darn.

Portland's karaoke scene is so over the top weird (puppets, stripper karaoke) that the NYtimes wrote about it.
