Dan and Phil Part 105: Gay 🧡
For all that Dan loves to act like a thirsty and adventurous Horny on Main sort of person, I am not even slightly surprised by Phil winning "more likely to flirt with the waiter" by default due to Dan being totally disinterested. Phil was like "You never notice when people flirt with you" and Dan went "I notice when you flirt with them." PhilTrash#1 will never beat the allegations.

Dan and Phil have done so much wild stuff in their careers, they came out, they went on hiatus, they came back, Phil went blond, etc. and yet, the thing that made me speechless the most as a fan of theirs and a Good Omens stan, is them dressing up as Aziraphale and Crowley. The funniest thing is that I dont' even think they have ever watched Good Omens (although I am sure especially Phil would love it) but they decided to dress up as them anyway just because we were like "oh you're so Aziracrow-coded (true)" ... I love fanservice, what an insane timeline we're living in.

I have never even seen Good Omens, and these photos had me speechless for a solid half hour. I swear, a hard launch would have affected me less.glitterintheair wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2024 9:55 am Dan and Phil have done so much wild stuff in their careers, they came out, they went on hiatus, they came back, Phil went blond, etc. and yet, the thing that made me speechless the most as a fan of theirs and a Good Omens stan, is them dressing up as Aziraphale and Crowley. The main appeal of a hard launch was that they'd be more able to do cute couples stuff, but those costumes are peak cute couples stuff, so I guess that's that. At this point, their (bare-minimum) relationship status ambiguity feels more like a running gag than anything serious.
Sure. But I also felt that after this week, it was HARSH to have clickbait about a sim dying.Catallena wrote: Sat Nov 09, 2024 9:08 pm
After this fucking week, apparently talk about carrying out the other's will was the exact type of weird cute bullshit I needed to feel something again.

I'm having a stress.

I just got back from seeing TIT and I enjoyed it so much. No spoilers but I just had to come share my general happiness with Dan and Phil and who they are as people.
I was there too!!alittledizzy wrote: Mon Nov 25, 2024 5:09 am I just got back from seeing TIT and I enjoyed it so much. No spoilers but I just had to come share my general happiness with Dan and Phil and who they are as people.
Agreed- it was really great. I was glad I’d avoided spoilers (mostly) before going btw, for anyone who has a later show and is wondering
I'm having a stress.

What was you guys’ take on their reaction to the pre-show question about who picks up the tab the most for dinner dates? I can’t believe this is the first awkward question from all the pre-shows!

It’s the Reading PA one in case anyone is wondering.Susanisnotafish wrote: Tue Nov 26, 2024 11:32 pm What was you guys’ take on their reaction to the pre-show question about who picks up the tab the most for dinner dates? I can’t believe this is the first awkward question from all the pre-shows!
Hm yeah Dan in particular seemed a little annoyed by that question. It seemed like he was trying to go for the “ooh they touched” bit that they’ve been doing recently… but it maybe came off slightly more annoyed than intended (I’m assuming it’s not intended because these were people who paid a lot to ask them a question).
They’ve been pretty clear that they want to keep specific details about their dynamic to themselves. So I get that. But I do wonder why that question bothered him more than the “who does the laundry” question. (Maybe because they actually DO do their own laundry, whereas they don’t always pay for their own food ).
I’ve always assumed they have a question ready in their heads to “read” out if what they get on the card is too invasive (or offensive or something). My pet theory is that the “who is watering the plants” question is that. As in, they ask that when they don’t like the actual question as written. To be clear, this theory is based on absolutely nothing besides the fact it’s been asked numerous times and it’s a pretty mundane question. Do not take this as fact.
On the other hand, it’s possible Phil in particular doesn’t read the questions in his head before he reads them aloud (like the “you and Dan are so married” live show). What a mad lad, if so. With this audience?! Living on the edge!

I'm having a stress.
I did find it a bit strange that with all the (mostly) unprompted jokes about kissing, touching or being married it would be the mention of a dinner date that got this kind of reaction. And if they didn't want it to get a lot of attention, they could've just not read it or just joked about it. Like how easy is it? Who is paying for dinner dates? You guys who came to this too. Bam, next question. Or Phil, because he gets all the gaming channel money. Or we split, because I'm not paying this the silly things he orders. Literally any real or made up answer would work and they could then move on.
Of course whatever they said, some fans would still take it suuuper literally even if it was an obvious (to me) joke, because that keeps happening. But even if this reply was supposed to be joke-y it felt too deffensive.

To be fair they did eventually get to the second thing I bolded there (“I’m not paying for that shit”) but only after an uncomfortable amount of “DATE? DATE?! WHAT EVEN IS A DATE?”tinnie wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2024 3:03 pm I did find it a bit strange that with all the (mostly) unprompted jokes about kissing, touching or being married it would be the mention of a dinner date that got this kind of reaction. The first thing I bolded in your comment is what they should’ve said - for sure. That’s good.

They must be so tired - I can’t imagine you get the most restful sleep on a tour bus with a bunch of other people in the same room. But I’m wondering if going straight to Australia might be easier on the jet lag than going home first because it’s not a lot of time between shows and then they only have one major time change to adjust to.Catallena wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 11:52 pm The US Tour flew by. DnP were spotted in Las Vegas, they seem to be having a little break there before going home (or straight to Australia? that'd be crazy.)
