[offtopic]Random discovery about Wirrow[/offtopic]
You know how people back on GG were somewhat interested in finding out a bit more about 's friend Wirrow? Turns out it's actually not that hard to find out his real name.
In the video above, at 1:25, Phil says that , Bryony and 'Chris' all went to the zoo for Dan's 20th birthday. Once you get past all the white annotation things, Phil shows pictures of Bryony and Wirrow's art!
I know this isn't on any sort of thread of conversation, but I thought it was an interesting discovery, if nothing else.

Man, that was not a good time in the haircut history for them.
Phil was friends with the people in Vlogcandy (John, his nyc friend/first sub; Meghan, the girl he made a collab with last year who is also friends with Cat so maybe that's why they've known eachother for so long, Zachary who he used to tweet lots too, etc). Basically collab channels were quite cool when you were "in the community" and very entertaining to watch back then. Even Phil himself had one (the infamous pabloislove).

Well, I just got suckered in by a doozy of a clickbait by the SacconeJolys. Almost contemplating going back to have a quick look see what's being said over on t'other place... Suffice to say my immediate reaction (which I'm mildly guilty about) was "four adults and two kids. HOW?!" Luckily it was pure exaggerated clickbait. No harm done.

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks so!

This is kind of cool. I am liking him more and more.
For some reason i feel compelled to add this gem:
I've been loving Jon Cozart btw, i found him just recently thanks to this forum
(And i'm glad i started watching him right when it looks like he's starting to upload more. Love his vlogs as well as his music videos)
His vlogs remind me of Dan's videos back when he didn't overthink so much and his videos felt more spontaneous (Like how not to stay cool, good times.).
^ I love thomas sanders, he's so sweet and hilarious, and I think that collab he did was extremely creative/clever!
Bry and Candice just announced they're moving to (outside of) London! Hope this means new opportunities for them to appear in the other London youtubers' videos.
I don't want to be a hater, but why are people on Twitter and other platforms praising and almost commending Hazel for her new TOTM? And saying how they are clapping and crying? It's literally a vlog compilation of what she vlogged in march, released in may? Like there is nothing special?
If any of you understand this better, please elaborate. Because I'm probably blind that I don't see something worth praising?
The phandom is its own police, so before anyone hates on Hazel and gives a bad image because she's a woman near Phil, they establish beforehand that "She is kool ok!11!". There was a bit of drama recently with the Tipsy talk video, with Hazel mocking phangirls (IMO) and everybody just being sorry. Funfact is that no one really cares about her.
I know about that drama, but it's mostly people who aren't in the phandom? Or not in the hardcore phandom at least. So I'm just like ??? she did a vlog compilation ??? about march ?? in may ??

Note 1:
This goes by backwards-chronological order. Some channels are not active anymore, some are friends channels (red) and I have unsubscribed/resubscribed to a few but the first 2 channels shown are the first 2 that I subscribed to.

Sorry to be super late to the party and creepy but I noticed you're subscribed to Oon Shu An and Clicknetwork?? I'm from Singapore and thought their popularity was pretty much contained within Singapore but maybe I can be pleasantly surprised (is it the 5-Minute Magic Routine that she posted?). Shu An is amazing though, I wish she would actually make a personal Youtube vlog series.
As for me, my Youtube fandoms started in 2009 with nigahiga whom I still enjoy and respect a lot to this date. I don't think I got a youtube account until 2010 though, when I used it to follow a lot of Kpop fandoms, and that's when I got to know Simon and Martina. I also listened to Kurt Hugo Schneider and Sam Tsui's music a lot.
I didn't know much about vlogging until the end of 2013 when I finally read TFiOS and found vlogbrothers. So due to Hank and John's influence I watched a lot of educational Youtube from CrashCourse to Mental Floss to SciShow to MinutePhysics and ASAPScience, and of course Vsauce and CGP Grey. I also got into PBS Idea Channel recently, Mike Rugnetta is pretty awesome.
I think John Green lead me to Troye, but I didn't think much about him at first (his song TFiOS took quite some time to grow on me, as is the case with most of his music). I watched Tyler when a friend linked his 2013 recap video on Facebook and I thought his life was really cool. I subscribed but didn't really watch his videos regularly, but I did enjoy his collabs with Troye.
I lived in a pretty much educational/Korea-centric Youtube bubble (with a dash of Kurt's music and Ryan's humour and some movie-snark from Screen Junkies and CinemaSins) right until mid-2015, when I discovered Dan and Phil through a Troyler video. The rest is history. This thread helped me discover a lot of people though, I'm going to look forward to a more exciting subscription box!
Also, I do wish more people would watch shessomickey, she's very thoughtful and watching her motivates me to live a more productive life, if you're into that kind of Youtube content? She doesn't upload regularly though, but she does consistent VEDAs so at least you get annual gratification?

I think I found clicknetwork tv through Xiaxue because of her plastic surgery video. Now I can't stand her (also the reason why I used GG was to check up on her drama).
I LOOOVE Oon Shu An, she is THE reason I'm currently subscribed to clicknetwork tv, I watch everything as soon as it comes out and when I found out she had a youtube channel I also had to automatically subscribe.
I used to love Chick vs Dick too but that... yeah.. ended
I think the power of the web is a bit underrated, because I like a lot of foreign stuff that I have just stumbled upon on the net. I might be from ex-USSR, but I feel like I shouldn't be bounded by that? makes sense? maybe?
But who the fuck am I kidding? I'm mostly just the rotting banana peel at the bottom of the phan trash can who genuinely gets excited over the thought of them snuggling in bed. Idgaf let a bitch live

LOL. Wow Phil. He even paused to think after saying "and" and he still said Chris.
I need to watch their old liveshows at some point. I watched quite a few of Dan's but when younow changed the format with how it displays all his broadcasts, I forgot where I left off

Hahaha oh Xiaxue, I kind of forgot she existed lol. I have this twisted admiration for the sheer volume of problematic opinions she has, she's my source of trashy entertainment before I had Youtube.
I really love Shu An, her 5 Minute Magic Routine makes me cry every time I watch it. Will put a link here, hopefully more people will give it a shot?
Hahahahaha of course the lack of international boundaries is part of the magic of the internet, but I just never thought Singaporeans have an international impact on Youtube. There are Singaporean channels, but they're mostly just sketch comedy that make many inside jokes about the Singaporean version of FOMO, which I'm not sure would interest an international audience. Shu An is certainly an exception and I love her for that
cora808 wrote:If I'm remembering correctly, wasn't Xiaxue the one that put makeup on her newborn baby?
I've never seen that myself, but I personally think she's a decent mom to her own son so I sure hope she didn't do that! She did give birth wearing makeup though
