Ughh I spent so much time close to Toronto/Montreal last year, and now I'm on the opposite side of the country. I'll never get over their tour planning. Selling the American merch at the show is just the tip of the iceberg.
I am still hoping for the European tour though, chances are, I'll be back in Europe by that time, so maybe I'll be able to see it there..
Still excited for the Toronto dates though, I'm curious to see if people will ask them about the lack of Canadian dates!

I wish they would just tell us what their future tour plans are. I get that they don't want people to be disappointed if their plans fall through but its so hard for people to decide whether to make an effort to get to the tour now or wait and hope they come closer to where people live. Especially with Toronto. I'm about 90% sure that they're not going to do more Canadian dates later but why can't they just say so?angrymob wrote:
I wouldn't hold out for them doing any other dates in Canada, so if it's something you really want to see, I'd say it's worth it. Shows usually are, imo, since the travel sort of becomes part of the experience.
That being said, if they did announce more Canadian dates in the future and I had already trekked 6 hours to see them, I'd be slightly pissed.
Everyone is hoping they're going to do a European tour and a world tour and they keep kind of implying that maybe that's going to happen but I wouldn't be surprised if this tour exhausts them so much that they won't want to do another one for 20 years!

they could have come up with something better than "so tall". i do like the idea though that the fan came up with.
also, loving the photos of the dad's at the m&g, it's kinda cool that they get to meet some older people haha! can you believe that some of these parents though have paid the £130 or whatever it was in America to meet these two, like they are seriously good to their daughters because that's so much money just to take your kid along. (i only know that the parent also has to have a ticket because i asked someone at the show).
I can just imagine the Dad's being, "Don't know who these losers are, but Im'ma gonna get my money's worth," haha.missemma wrote:

Also, It surely can't be £130, that's like $260 CAD, which is a ridiculous amount to spend for a M&G.

Ok so I surprisingly didn’t have too much anxiety about going alone. In fact, I’m happy I went alone because I can only imagine what my friends/family would’ve said if I made them go with me
The speakers were extremely loud in the beginning when it was counting down for their grand entrance! It scared the shit out of me but it got me excited. When they came out it was so weird seeing them in real life. They’re actually shorter than what I imagined (at least from where I was sitting—which was in the 7th row in orchestra so decently close). I bet people don’t say that very often lol. If I had stood next to them I would’ve been dwarfed obvs, but just seeing their proportions—that sounds weird—was a weird experience because in my head I exaggerated how tall they are. I got used to it as the show went on though.
Overall, I enjoyed it! Ngl, I know I would’ve enjoyed it even more if I hadn’t spoiled it for myself multiple times (lol) but I didn’t think/know they’d come to Toronto, nor was I ever planning to go originally after finding out they were. I’m sure the shock value is a huge part of the excitement/experience. But nevertheless I liked being able to finally see them in person as I never thought I would and always wondered what it would be like. They’re really good at performing in the sense of being very charismatic and enthusiastic. I won’t lie, sometimes it was a bit corny and it did feel like they were catering to a younger audience, but that’s ok, I still liked it and would go again if I could!
Now onto the lengthy spoilerinos~~~

You're welcome everyone! And I'm glad I got a ticket as well! I'm really looking forward to their tour video when it comes out in ten years when the tour is over. I guess they'll sell a travel+BTS documentary and perhaps a show/multiple shows they recorded? I can only hope
ALSO:
You could totally see Dan's underwear the whole time (what else is new, right?). Especially in the beginning! Good lord it was a throwback seeing so much surface area of the clothed upper portion of his backside. He pulled them up a bit offstage because you could see the difference after he came back on stage to join Phil, but you would think he would’ve checked in the beginning when they started the show lol. They were a light grey-ish/blue-ish if anyone is wondering

Thanks for the review blueapple_x It was really interesting to compare it to the night before. I was so glad they brought the gold suits back. They're way cooler than the American ones.
re: the cheer-vote for the cowboy fan-fic. It wasn't even close on Saturday so they only did it once.

Ohh, I went to the show last night too!
I dragged along two of my friends (one who knew them a little, and the other who did not know them at all) and safe to say we all enjoyed it a lot!
Really glad I pushed myself to go because that was absolutely worth it. The amount of effort they put into the show as really incredible to see. I loved the little Canadian aspects they incorporated too.

oh glad you enjoyed yourself. That is very interesting that your friend who is not invested much and especially your friend who didn't know them at all both liked it. Since I feel it is a very inside-jokey show I have to admit I thought only fans well familiar with their universe would like it.dancelittleliar wrote:Ohh, I went to the show last night too!I dragged along two of my friends (one who knew them a little, and the other who did not know them at all) and safe to say we all enjoyed it a lot!

That's exactly what I thought as well. But I guess it also largely depends on one's sense of humour and how internet savy/up-to-date they are with the latest pop culture and internet memes. I sat beside two stoic older ladies. One of them was a mom with her daughter and I'm not sure if the other one was there alone or not. The mom laughed a little but the other lady was like a rock. She even checked her phone a couple times in the show to text.daphenaxa wrote:oh glad you enjoyed yourself. I'm so glad people are going to see it because I've said it so many times, regardless to age or how cringe you think it's going to be, it's such a good show that it's a shame to let anything put you off going. I'd definitely advocate going more than once too!dancelittleliar wrote:Ohh, I went to the show last night too!I dragged along two of my friends (one who knew them a little, and the other who did not know them at all) and safe to say we all enjoyed it a lot!
