Just discovered that Phan™ by wordsongs has been deleted?! Something to do with plagiarism, but I don't know the full story. Did anyone save a copy? Maybe you can get one through Google Cache. Which I sadly can't do because my internet provider blocks the domain.

Also, there was this Hogwarts AU I read recently that I really liked, and I don't usually like AU much. It does have a bit of smut, but you can skip over it if you want (like I always do). There are some bits that are more believable than others (seriously, McGonagall?), but overall I thought it was pretty good. It's A Wizard's Misgivings by jilliancares. Dan is in Gryffindor and Phil is in Slytherin.

Sorry for the double post. I'm just talking to myself again. Anyway, wordsongs (a.k.a. mostlikelyphanfic) put up more information. Her beta plagiarised a few paragraphs from a Larry fanfiction. She doesn't want her name to be attached to anything plagiarised, even though it's not her fault, so she assumed full responsibility and took down the story. It's sad that she did, but I'd probably have done the same in her place. She said in an ask that she may edit and reupload it, so there's hope!

Our Threadbare Lies by ramonaspeaks (actually pretty much anything by ramonaspeaks )is one of my all time favourite fics (http://archiveofourown.org/works/334640 ... rs/7321244) It's a chaptered pic, so you can get your teeth into it, and it's really well written I think it's pretty accurate to events that happened (even if it is kinda a 'fake boyfriend' fic, it's done in a pretty original way that doesn't really detract from the realism of it if you get what I mean? ). Also, it actually gets their characters quite well (IDK, I'm not making any sense....sorry, I just really like this fic )

One of my most favourite fics has to be Eudaimonia
It's an AU, might say postapoalyptic? There is deadly bacteria on Earth and people live in sterile places and wear suits, kinda like quarians in Mass Effect. And Deppy go full Eren&Armin and want to see the world outside the sterile city, you know it.

+1 on the Our Threadbare Lies suggestion, it's easily top five best fics I've ever read.

Another 2009-era one is caught up in the wonderings of our minds by Cadensaurus, it's semi short, and written so well, but also sticks to the timeline.

I'm new here and I'm slightly going out of lurking mode right now to say thank you for the recommendations.
I especially loved the ones that weren't AU and were reality-based. I'm for them.
Can I make a suggestion though? There should be like a master-post of all the fanfic recs which are sorted by category so that people will sorta know what they're going to read. Like maybe a Google Doc that people can add links to the fics to? It could be like the IDB fic recs as a community. Just throwing it out there. It's okay if it won't happen though.

It was the beta who plagiarised, wasn't it? The author said on tumblr that they didn't know it had happened, and that was why they took it down as soon as they found out.
