This is a total knee jerk answer as its not the typical question hence making it more realistic, it made me read it as Dan will never let Phil out of his side hence his need to taxidermy to ensure Phil will always be there. Whereas Phil is prepared to let Dan go if circumstances requires it.

I'm actually fairly surprised that Vancouver wasn't one of their stops. They have a day before and 2 days off after their Seattle show. Maybe they planned for it, but couldn't secure a venue.

On the flip side, I'm stoked for them to have plenty of time to visit Seattle. It's a cool city to explore, but also pretty stunning this time of year, especially in the surrounding area, like Mt. Rainier and Olympic National Parks.

Whilst I do agree with you to an extent, I also feel a bit sorry for those fans in the UK who didn't get a chance to go to tatinof, sitc previously and were hoping for SITC to try and meet them. Don't get me wrong, I know people in the UK do get more opportunities than those in other countries who never get to meet them but why should the people in the UK who haven't had the opportunity have to wait another year. They are British, surely it would make sense for them to do a British convention every year much like the American youtubers do the American ones (I can't speak for other countries as I don't know if they have conventions). They've already ditched the radioshow, temporarily stopped the weekly liveshows and now this, it's just a shame is all.
Just to put it out there that this doesn't affect me as I wouldn't really go to a m&g style YouTube event I'm just speaking hypothetically from what I've seen on social media and just my own personal feelings on it.

There's really no good solution here, they can't seem to win with us no matter what they do. Imagine they went to SITC, pushing back the end of the tour even more (I'm starting to think it will literally never end) and then people will just keep bitching even longer about droughts and cashing in and whatever else gets everyone's knickers in a twist because they're not getting what they want one way or another and whining about everything is apparently the only other substitute for entertainment. I'm happy for them to get it all over with as soon as possible so we can all get back into some kind of schedule (loool). Liveshows! Maybe the radio after Sept?! etc. Get this tour in the damn ground.

Because why not. A year is nothing. People in others countries will have to wait forever (is it really 'waiting' if it's never going to happen) because this is likely the only chance on the horizon. I don't think by saying that some of the UK fans were upset they wouldn't be attending is insinuating that this is a life of death situation lol. It's funny that people are so quick to say that the uk fans should just sit back and shut up and not express their upset about SITC. Regardless to where anyone is from, people will be upset if their favourite youtubers aren't visiting xyz country/city. If people aren't happy then I don't see anything wrong with expressing their opinion on it.

Besides the fact that English is one of our major languages, are there really enough Phans here to justify them coming here? Summer In The City must be annoyed at Dan and Phil for not attending this year though. First they lose all the Gleamers, now Dan and Phil (though hopefully for them and the UK public not forever). It's people like them who really attract people to the event, now they have no real big names left on their guest list. I haven't heard of half the people listed on their website and the biggest names on there are still sub top at most. Not the ideal to way to bring in an audience. Now considering SITC is relatively cheap (compared to US cons) and the only one in the UK, they'll probably still sell out their tickets. But it must be bitter for the organization, two top UK Creators not attending the only UK convention while still attending the US cons.

But it's a bit unfair to compare SITC to Playlist and Vidcon. Those events are far more expensive and have loooooots of big sponsors, allowing them to bring Creators over by paying for their flight and hotel room, and giving them cool perks like expensive af goodie bags and being able to visit an empty theme park. Now D&P don't need accommodation and I doubt they care about goodie bags with stuff they'll never use, but SITC being as it is is the reason it'll never grow. The only US Creators who have attended are ones who were already in the neighborhood, like Cat a few years ago when she was playing a tournament in Germany. Now I don't think SITC wants to grow into a UK version of Vidcon and that they're fine with their focus being in the UK, all European events focus on their own countries actually though that's also a language thing, but if even big UK YouTubers aren't atttending... that's a problem. So I hope for the sake of SITC that D&P don't give up on the event completely.

Same can be said about the US though? Dan and Phil go there twice a year already, but they still specifically planned their tour around Playlist Live and Vidcon so they could attend. It's kinda shit for UK audiences that they don't get the same treatment.

Yeah, I don't think anyone (on here at least) was looking for any sympathy, they just wanted to express their opinions on it.
Everyone keeps saying that the UK fans will miss out for "just one year" but no one actually knows what D&P have got planned, it might be that they never go back to doing SITC from now on. I don't really know that much about YT conventions tbh so I don't know how poorly run the UK one is, but from what people on here have been saying about how poorly managed it is, maybe they'll never go back. We will have to wait and see on that front I guess.

With the whole world tour and their no spoilers embargo, does that mean seeing as they're taking it to Aus next and no doubt Europe after that we are gonna have to wait at least another 6 months for any tour documentary or footage. Maybe they'll do a little bts video from the American leg and put in all those selfies Dan took at the m&gs?

I'm hoping to go to the Melbourne show, but obviously nothing's set in stone yet. Surely if the tickets are set to go on sale in a week, they will announce something about it very soon.
