Yeah that vid's annoying but i do see where he's coming from with being mad that lush cosmetics stole his URL. They should've offered to buy it from him or something imo.

Does everyone here know about the My Gay Online Boyfriend drama involving Kasper? I loved it. I lived it. I want to talk about it hahaha.

Matthew Lush has been mildly annoying for awhile. He was pretty popular during the Myspace era (I think cora808 has a more personal account of him during that time), so his current Youtube success must be pretty disappointing for him. I did find one of my favourite bands through him, though, so kudos to that.

I also think that while his LushCosmetics video is immature, he does have a point and it's an interesting debate about copyright/trademark and how far it extends. Maybe we should all be copyrighting our names and usernames.

Feel free to share a play-by-play. I caught some of the drama as it happened but more and more layers were being slathered on and I just wound up kinda lost.

It sounded like Matthew held a contest but rigged it so that Kasper would win. I think he flew him out and they'd be flirty on cam but Kasper claimed to be straight, but then at some point, Matthew went on Younow crying because Kasper blew a dude?

Yeah you basically got all of it iirc. it was a ploy for views, and Matt was right, his channel got lots of views from the contest and when he met up with Kasper. But yeah Matt had the tickets all along, Kasper released proof of purchase before the contest even started, but Matt released "proof" it wasn't rigged by showing that Kasper did end up really winning in terms of votes. But that could be because Matt was always positive about Kasper and especially in one of the last videos negative about some of the other contestants to try to persuade his viewers to vote for Kasper. Anyway Kasper was claiming to be straight to Matt apparently and Matt was tweeting things like "yeah, right" and then Matt like went through Kasper's texts because his imessage was open on his laptop and Kasper was texting with this guy he blew, and Matt was really upset. He like screenshotted it and texted it to himself so he could tweet it. But I just loved the paragraphs that Kasper wrote about the whole thing to expose Matt, I was seriously living for that kind of drama. I miss it!

I don't like him at all and he is shady as hell but on that "boycott lush" video he is 100% right.
it is shameful that Lush because they are a powerful company can steal his url just like that and it is shameful youtube allows it.

I heard that there was new drama regarding him and nick, someone that has a more clear understanding of the situation can explain it to me?

Yes it's in his vlog that's called LUSHLAWS TATTOO or something to that effect. He calmly explained that he told Nick about the tattoo JOKE it wasn't real, it was all a prank and Nick didn't react well, apparently it was Nick's 21st birthday and Matt was kinda sad texting nick that he was sad, well apparently he texted Nick that he was suicidal because Nick called the cops on him and the cops broke into his house and handcuffed him (Matt) and brought him to a cell, then to a mental ward and he had to spend the night there. He said it was awful, people were so mentally ill and he said it was a horrible experience and he can't believe his ex would do that to him.

Yeah the way Matt explained it, he was basically saying that he was "a little bit sad" and he was acting like he didn't scare Nick at all and Nick's actions were out of nowhere, well he must've said some pretty scary stuff for Nick to call the cops, I don't buy it Matt.

Discovered that nick is dating ryan, now youtube suggested to me one of lush videos (like why?) and according to the the title he reacts to it, as I'm petty like that I don't wanna give him a view...did anyone see it?

I watched it, it was clickbait. He spent probably 30 seconds saying "my heart aches but I am happy for Nick, love is beautiful and I'm glad he's happy" that was it. the rest was about his dying his hair back to rainbow and renting a house.
