I'm Reizam. To give a bit of background about myself, I'm gonna tell my "phan" story. Not sure if it's tl;dr, but it really pertains to IDB and I wonder if anyone else had a similar experience!
I recently joined the phandom less than a year ago. Frankly, I wasn't really into Dan and Phil for a long time because I kept finding the phandom spamming the comments of other Youtubers, which I found annoying and actually turned me off from watching D&P. After watching their collabs with Tyler Oakley, I decided to give their videos a shot because they seemed chill. Over the course of that week I became totally and utterly obsessed. Just loved their personalities and their nerdiness.
After drinking the D&P Kool-aid, I began searching for different outlets other than Youtube comments to talk about them. Being a phan in my mid-20s, I wanted to find a mature crowd to actually discuss them and learn more about them (this digging revealed some D&P history which converted me from the "platonic bros" camp to "phan trash" .
I eventually stumbled upon the deserted GG forum then snooped until I found IDB from there. I am SO HAPPY to find this place. After looking through the topics this was EXACTLY what I was looking for - a place to discuss D&P with a mature crowd who isn't afraid to call them out on their shit yet still loves them to bits. As it's hard to find fellow phans in my age range and city IRL, I'm happy to finally find an outlet to rant and rave about D&P.
So after lurking for the past few active topics, I'm ready to get involved! I am quite shy online and never joined a forum before (only lurked), so forgive me if I'm bit of a n00b.
tl;dr - Happy to find and join IDB to discuss D&P!
