That’s the advantage of the UK legal system: the House of Commons can use the ~power of democracy~ to keep the old farts in the House of Lords from having opinions that stick. No one understood what I just said. Anyway—”
I love how Dan is secretly political. He follows a few political twitter accounts and sometimes he says something very brief about UK politics, but then moves on quickly as I guess most of his subscribers aren't concerned/interested by it. It's a shame though, I want to hear more politics with Dan.

I find it kind of weird that he has to say he's joking here … wouldn't it be ok to genuinely, seriously say he didn't want his family involved with his videos? Particularly as it's pretty obvious he's not actually joking. I get that people expect to know about his own personal life, because that's what happens when you're a YouTuber, but I think it should be perfectly ok for him not to want people to have any expectations from his family.

It’s quite funny, (laughs) some lovely person on Tumblr posted a video that I uploaded like last October where you can see like a fat crease when I sit up and it’s like great! Thanks! Thanks for turning that into a slow-motion gif! But, uh, yeah. So I have people on Tumblr going, ‘ah, Dan’s a bit chubby’ and then I have people on my James Bond Radio 1 video going, ‘God Dan, you need to gain some weight, you’re too thin!’ and I’m like ‘Aw great, I’m like fricking Britney Spears!’” [At first I assumed he meant the person who made the gif on Tumblr was somehow poking fun at his weight, but then when I thought about it I realized it was ambiguous and he might just mean that he saw a gif of himself and thought he looked fat in it. Idk. :/]
I hope he doesn't still feel this way. I think he's grown into his body shape really well. 2015/6 Dan is very well shaped.

I get the impression he dresses colourfully more often now. Hopefully it's a sign that he's happier about his life/his body.

Ugh it was a bit like that on the most recent ls: Dan gets asked something about anime, he starts talking about it in a way that shows he's really interested, but the comments all move on to something else, as if nobody's listening and they want him to talk about something #relatable instead. idk it just makes me uncomfortable, when he actually starts talking about stuff he's passionate about the viewers can't relate so the conversation never gets anywhere, in either direction.

Yeah, the liveshows don't really have this atmosphere any more. I kind of feel like the format needs to change, although who knows how. I'm not a fan of the younow format with the way the messages get sent, but I guess there's no alternative for now.
