Sorry but who ever said that we consider this phan proof?

People just kept using the phan goggles emoji and also it's just easy to shorthand write 'phan proof' rather than 'possibly evidence of something interesting/a romantic relationship etc', wasn't trying to put words into your mouth or anything!

Yes we get excited over it but not because it's "phan proof" but because it's "proof" they slept in the same bed, meaning that another theory from a few threads back (#bedgate) turned out to be actually true. Moreover, leaving the bed theory aside this is also "proof" that even if Dan has a "slip-up" (or is giving us some hints with it) they don't exactly care enough about this to address it so they leave it be.

Compared to a few years back, like 2014 when both Dan and Phil were shitting all over the place because of the Japhan #bedgate or even worse 2012 when they wouldn't admit to breathing the same air, I see this as a reason to get excited for. It clearly shows some growth in both of them and that they are starting to be more comfortable with their audience and fans.

I assumed people were excited because they perceived Deppy watching the show in the same bed as a piece of evidence or something that indicates a more-than-friends relationship. If y'all are excited because they're being more relaxed about letting out information that they have watched movies in bed together then I'm totally on board and I think it's great they're less tense now. But if I hadn't read it here I would have thought nothing of it when he mentioned watching it in his liveshow Idk it did not occur to me it was exciting or anything

My argument wasn't that them in bed together means or proves anything - just that it's the option that makes the most sense. No, it's totally not 'phan proof' which is part of why I was confused that people were trying so hard to dismiss it as if it were 'proof' of something they needed to blow holes in. (I mean, Dan is even the one that said he likes sleeping platonically in bed with friends. If your feathers are really ruffled by phan then comfort yourself with the fact that I'm pretty sure that would extend to marathon tv watching in bed with friends too.)

Slighty off topic:

Pokemon Go is now officially out in the UK. So there is more hope for a Pokemon Go DAPG. I am waiting for a tweet from Dan but they are probably still asleep!

Good luck! There are still server issues here in the US - it's hard to get online and stay online with the game. I have tried twice to set up an account, but told to try back in an hour. There is also a Congressional inquiry into Pokemon Go security and privacy issues. Could be that Senator Franken wants some publicity, but OTOH there are real concerns with granting access to your entire Googlesphere, and of course shithead criminals using the app to lure victims (and the Holocaust Museum not wanting people searching through their exhibits.) Anyway, I hope they sort this out in the next few days so I can play.

If DAPG played Pokemon GO I think I would spontaneously combust from happiness. They need to do it soon though...the prime time for pokemon GO content is now. They could even expand their audience by playing it, people who like the game might search YT for let's plays. Sadly though I'm worried they'll drag their feet and by time they actually get around to doing it it'll be well into August. Please prove me wrong, guys!!

As for the server issues uglyamerican yes it's a buggy game and the servers go down a lot but they've been improving and the game's only getting easier to play. I hardly have problems with it anymore except sometimes the game freezes after i throw a pokeball. Also, I've seen lots of people out playing it around pokestops and gyms, so i don't think the server issues are deterring too many people. and like I said, now is the prime time for pokemon GO stuff so even though the servers kind of suck, I wouldn't say that's a reason to not put it on DAPG. Everyone knows there are bugs too so they wouldn't even need to cut out any bugs caught in footage because people would understand. yknow what im saying?

also beware of fake news stories. a lot of people are putting out fake pokemon GO news stories, like a man stopped in the middle of the highway to catch a pikachu. bs.

Why is everyone being so weird about bedgate? (let me explain: why are people acting like it isn't about whether or not D+P r in a relationship? what else would it be about?)
My point was that Phil saying that he watched Bates motel when he couldn't sleep and Dan saying he watched Bates motel does not necessarily = they watched it in their bed together when Phil could not sleep/ in the middle of the night. I think Misemma expressed this really well-

So, if they watched it together in the middle of the night it is not necessarily #phanproof. But what it would mean is that they were sleeping in the same bed. Well people make the valid point that sleeping in the same bed does not necessarily mean that they are in a relationship, it is still fairly suggestive. Idk, D+P sleeping in the same bed for weeks would say something to me.

Oh, nice! Thank you. For me it is always interesting to see people with religious background that come to the conclusion that they're non believers, because I often wonder if I would have been able to question my beliefs the same way, had I not been raised in an atheist family.

When I saw the tweets my mind didn't go to 'bed' like most people, it's easy for me to imagine it might have happened at the lounge, esp if there weren't many people sleeping on the bus with them, they had so many buses they could easily have the bus for themselves and drake.

Don't apologise, it's good to have a range of opinions, I don't see our view as a downer at all. I think for me, I just like to have actual evidence of things as it can be extremely easy to take things out of context when it comes to phan.
Previously people thought that they had the whole bus to themselves (I was never convinced of that and I always thought drake and the two management girls were deffo on the bus at least) but now because of this idea that they watched the show together they couldn't have watched it in the lounge as it might have kept the whole bus awake. How do we know that the whole bus didn't watch it together in the lounge, we don't know that because we don't know anything about the other people on the bus. We also know D&P are good at telling little lies to keep us entertained - probably the biggest reason I'm a skeptic when it comes to them.

Never apologise for having a differing opinion to others, like I already said its good to have a range of ideas as it makes for interesting discussions

Also the other thing that caught my attention, I take it they used Netflix or CrunchyRoll to stream these tv series? As far as I'm aware there isn't an offline service for these? I thought the wifi was awful on the bus and that's why we didn't get any liveshows. Surely you need fairly good internet to stream a tv series? The only reason I bring that up is because I do believe they watched it on the bus (& together) but that makes me kinda salty that they used the excuse of lack of wifi for no videos and liveshows.

This is exactly how I feel about it. I'm excited that they spend so much time together, like, c'mom, they really are two compatible souls that found each other (platonic or not, whatever you believe), and I do get butterflies with the idea of them sharing everything and sleeping on the same bed but I don't think there's evidence enough for me to consider any of it true > not that they watched it in bed together and not that they slept in the same bed > it's not like I don't love the idea, I'm phan af too, just more careful with not letting myself be excited for something that has more questions than answers, that's what I meant to express here.

Aww the Michael Aranda vid was so cute (also woah Michael Aranda it was so weird to see him it's been years). I just rewatched it a few times on pewphan.
Like so cute, when Phil started dancing awkwardly and Dan joined in, and Dan keeping leaning into Phil while they were talking. Also Phil's kinda fond sassy smile when he says "yeah it does" and Dan's face during "just checking". It's kinda hard to make out what they're saying at the end but there's a cut after they agree that Dan's a toad and then Dan's like "-tickle, if the toad consents" I think.

That was such a great little clip from Michael Aranda's video. I had never heard of him until like two days ago too. I randomly re-watched Chris' I Can't Even/Geek Week, which led me to watching Charlie, which led me to seeing a video from a million years ago with Charlie and Michael, which led me to reading about Michael, and seeing he is from near where I grew up! Super weird. And here he is with D&P.

Anyways I thought it was funny too how Michael asked if they'd take a peek and they went back out, I think he was just insinuating they could peek around the curtain and see what the reaction would be like? But they were totally open to ending their break right then and just going back out there.

Also I laughed when "SARAN WRAP" as it made me think of Halloween baking
