Speaking of Pokemon GO, luckily they already filmed one so we will at least have one more, but Pokemon GO recently updated and took away the step feature (which broke recently anyway) effectively making it impossible to track pokemon anymore, meaning players just have to walk around aimlessly now and get lucky. And pokemon trackers like pokevision are having a harder time as well, so I think it might be safe to say we will not be getting more than one more Pokemon GO video from deppy until Niantic fix their app to make it actually playable......

By the way my thoughts about the Undertale video: I really liked it, Phil was a little low energy for my taste, and Dan was screaming a bit too much. But overall I enjoy Undertale as a game and I enjoy deppy so put them together and I'm a happy camper.

Well, even i , the biggest philstan, am bored with the LET PHIL PLAY thing. It doesn’t even cross my mind when I am watching the video since D&P doesn’t make it a big deal every time. It could an hour long of “your turn-my turn-let me play-give the keyboard-change the settings-me-me-let me”. They have a good plan in my opinion ( in this case at least)

Phil is either the poor kid with no opinions dan is bossing over or the evil overlord mastermind racist Trump supporter (depending on how we feel that specific day). He is neither of these things.

I dont think it really matters who controls it. Especially in games like undertale and the sims. Its probably happening just because he is not used playing in dans pc/keyboard and it doesnt really change anything. Maybe its for the better. You saw dan screaming louder than ever ” HARDER FASTER” while phil was playing. Can you imagine dan screaming like that throughout the whole video if he has no mouse or keyboard to focus on.

Dan is annoying and loud and when he gets all cocky whenever he does anything remotely “right” I want to punch his face but if phil wanted to play he would kick dan out of the way and play. If phil wanted to speak he would interrupt dan, that doesn’t shut his mouth, and speak. You know, like dan is doing all the time. He is not dan though. THANK GOD. phil doesnt (want to) do that and thats another reason why i love him

I actually disagree with whoever said dan is an intelligent player. He is fast(too fast sometimes in the sims) with his hands and controls the games nicely but phil is the more intelligent player. He is always the first to solve puzzles and stuff quickly while dan seems pretty lost. it happens in every undertale video i think

I absolutely loved the video. Even though I understand why people found it boring. I didnt laugh as much as other times, nothing big happened and I cant even follow the game anymore after all this time. But it was such a lovely video. I couldn’t take my eyes off of phil. He was so laid back and real. His voice and manners and the way he talked. Like he didn’t even care having a camera recording. He was so “himself”. With his dick jokes and everything. I love how casual he is with his male mention.It goes over most peoples heads but its still there. I was like "here he is", "Oh again my boy". Even dan was quieter and more tolerable than usual. Or maybe i didnt notice him since i was transfixed by phil. So much better than the screaming and the forced jokes and the "just had 5 redbulls" acting for the camera we get sometimes. SO nice , cute and homey. When it ended I was feeling so warm and fuzzy inside(lol but its true) and I came here to everyone be like “LET PHIL PLAY” and I am like “WHAT?who cares?” .

Really though, I made a joke to someone about how I couldn't wait for no one on IDB to care about his male mentions and IDB certainly did not prove me wrong. And in another week Dan will make another one-foot-out-of-the-closet overture and there will be ten pages* of discussion and someone will ask about Phil and every response* will be 'well, he doesn't give us as much to go on.'

(*yes i am exaggerating everything for humorous effect, no one needs to page count the last sexuality discussion or respond with NOT ME and their footnotes. but behind the sweeping generalization there is still truth)

Agree with dp333 about Phil this episode, I found him so chill and funny and very enjoyable to watch. He reminds me of one of my friends, who loves watching me (and others) play a game as a social thing, actively commenting on what's happening etc, while not usually being that keen on playing herself. Concidentally, she and Phil have about the same taste in video games.

They are remarks that a year or two ago Phil would not have made. For me it's about seeing Phil less restrained in his humor, and yeah, that makes me happy. Even joking about wanting a picture of a male non-human character flexing or bringing a male twist to a reference that he didn't have to.

Remember everyone getting upset that he referred to Chimpbot as female? The tsundere line is like the opposite to me, this is Phil introducing something that is not the default narrative m/f to a situation. Attraction? No. Specifically about his sexuality? Of course not. Still a sign of some kind of growth and forward momentum in what he feels comfortable talking about on youtube? Imo, yeah.

It's also about what he/they choose to leave in, like Phil making the sword reference. The innuendo was obvious and recognized, considering Dan's reaction to it, and Phil was comfortable enough with a phallic reference to leave it in despite having at least partial editing control.

The tweet is a phan thing, so it's just in a different category in my head. This is not about trying to prove or disprove phan or baiting, this is just me finding Phil's personal growth interesting and wanting to talk about it the same way people talk about Dan's.

Re: Dan's uploading schedule, or lack thereof: If uploading becomes a chore, it will eventually suck the life out of him. It is not fun being pressured to meet someone else's (commercial or arbitrary) deadlines, whether it derives from their agent's desires for more revenue or their fan's rabidity. Listen, I'd love to discuss Phil's mentions as much as Dan's (sorry dp333, it'll happen if we can make it happen), but there's really not much to discuss with this video. He's been making dick jokes forever (he jacked off some wood in the wardrobe video come on), but sure it's always appreciated. I HATE screeching Dan with a burning passion, when I watch their gaming videos I always have my mouse over the youtube volume thing to lower it everytime he screams 'cause I can't stand it >:( as you said, if he hadn't the game to play he probably would scream even more and I couldn't even handle the cringe.
That is one of the reasons why I never watch gamers, I feel like they scream too much, too unnecessarily, and they seem too fake for my taste. Someone sees the screaming as being passionate, I see it as trying too hard. I don't wanna claim that all the screaming gamers do is only for attracting the audience, but when I play games I am definitely not that vocal so to me it looks exaggerated. I loved when Phil played Shelter alone, for example, because it was not overdone, it didn't even look like AmazingPhil was playing, it was just camera-Phil enjoying his adventure as a mama badger

So it's an instagram story? For those who it's rolled out for? So some people following Dan can see it and others cant? Huh. I've kinda slacked of playing Undertale (dodging things doesn't interest me,) - but working out the puzzles and exploring things does - I like to go backwards in the game to see what happens. Anyway, I'm finding that I enjoy watching someone else play it rather than myself, so I totally get Phil's role in the playthroughs. Also, the length of the latest vid is about right: more than 30 mins but less than an hour.

OT: I'm more of a FPS gamer, but I just started playing Guild Wars 2. JFC, this is an immense and beautiful game.

Exactly, the thing that made me like this video so much is that you can see they're at ease, having fun and sharing that with their audience.
So many people broadcasting think they need to always be energetic and play that part of their personality up. If it's forced to much, I generally find that off putting. Especially in a vlog format / a vid that's about people just having fun.

I'm not entirely sure how to take Phil's Papyrus comment either, but the other ones don't really sound sexual to me. The sword comment he says so himself was ' said innocently', and when i see him laughing after Dan dives in ( who clearly thinks about gay sex every 6 seconds ; -) i'm inclined to believe him.
Hard to say what's pure bants and what really reveals something about their personality (as usual) but certainly shows a more relaxed Phil. A more open Phil which i enjoy more.
