Tbh that would be great for us. I also found GG from googling random things, and even after I had been lurking for a while, I was inspired to reread all the past thread because they kept coming up on google and they just seemed so fascinating.

If we started getting that traffic instead of GG, it'd be awesome.

I can't log into my GG account. I don't think i was banned, it just doesn't work. While that's new, GG has always had an issue with randomly logging people out several times. And logging back in on a site where every reloading is a risk and will be punnished with a server error is annoying. I imagine a members-only approach will make it more difficult for posters, not just lurkers.

That was also how I found the site, yay google! I'd never have signed up just to view forums that might have been interesting.

And you're definitely not the only one to think that, wtfamidoinghere. That site has always constantly signed people out randomly. A few members have posted things along those lines.

I still can't login. I don't get any error message or anything. I log in and end up on the login page again. And again. And again.
So i still don't think i've been banned (surely, i'd get some kind of error or info when failing to login?), but if someone happens to see my name there and it's red, feel free to tell me.

It's anyone's guess for now! I did pm a list of names of all the people I'm aware of being banned, and just received a response that they will be looked into and the innocent will be unbanned.

A bunch of Mods are all commenting now:

Some of those mods seem okay, make good points and seem like they want to do the right thing. But they are totaling covering for Morgan, who has behaved like a lunatic and I just don’t trust. His behavior has been appalling and childish and there was no reason for that. I don’t care how stressed out he was, that is now way to behave. Apparently he doesn’t know how to behave like an professional/adult. So while those mods are trying to restore things, I just can’t get over Morgan’s behavior.

I might've been the person who posted the mods = Nazis thing on there , I'm really surprised I didn't get banned. Really looks like they like to pick and choose who to banned, because I didn't get a warning/message or anything about my bad behavior. They either don't say anything at all or go full force, and that's not how to run a community.

That is very weird though, because i was fine until yesterday. If GIS and Nesoi aren't mods anymore, who banned me? I never spammed any thread with concerns about the drama (i only once commented on the bans, but i marked it as off topic in an otherwise on topic post) and only posted about the drama in the thread that was made for it. And even there i think i stayed polite and reasonable. I was never warned.

So either there is still someone banning random people for whatever reason (probs because they see us here) or there is now some kind of technical issue that bans people.

I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but thinking about it, the people complaining in the clarification rant thread are the ones being banned. I haven't read any complaints about getting banned from other people on GG, so i feel like i have to believe it's not a glitch.
That's so stupid though, he must have read that ColdHeartedBitch is going to unban those who shouldn't have been banned. I have a hard time believing someone would do something so stupid, even him.

YTT aren't impressed with the new choice of mod, apparently she's been really difficult in a few other threads and doesn't have the best reputation. Seems a sterling choice lol.

I'm impressed by how fast so many people of the community made an account on in depth bants and left GG for what it was. I was pretty new to the place, so maybe this was a long overdue move. Great to see how fast people reacted and showed solidarity. WE are the community, and forums are just the channels we use to interact in the end

The way things got handled by the site admin (how old is that bipolar morgan dude ?) just screams unprofessional moderating. Permanently banning members for small transgressions, then putting a sticky up declaring mods aren't bound by the rules.. really? I mean, what kind of sense makes that.
If you moderate a forum, you should be an example of a polite member that can keep his cool and try to approach any issues as objective and professional as you can. Not be absolved from rules.

Then they lock all threads and now they make it impossible for new people to take a look at the content of the forum? Geesh, do they want to chase everyone away?

Holy shit, Nesoi got her mod statua back! From troll to moderator in a day. Only on GG.

It just shows that the people in charge (Morgan mostly) are perfectly fine with mods doing whatever they want to other users. Especially after unbanning at least one person that i know of, so they conceded that the banning was unjustified. He really just made her a troll for show.

I'm starting to think that the privating of the whole forum is an attempt to shield the forum from the rest of the internet. So that the crazy behaviour of mods and administrator can't be discussed in other places anymore. But that would never work, because people will always find a way to sign up or contact users who are still active.

I just can't look away, i keep going back to the rants thread and just read a lot on YTT. I'd have so many better things to do, but it's like a train wreck and i can't look away

At this point i really hope they keep GG privat, because that will eventually ruin the forum. Otherwise it will never die. It would go back to (fairly) normal just like it did the other times when there was drama with Morgan.
