This fic is so cute We can never have bough parent!phan in our lives but this ones is also funny and makes a cheeky reference to Dans lullabies on Spotify
Honestly I could imagine every scene in this fic happening and that made it all the more enjoyable

don't be afraid, it's only love by larry_hystereks is so cute and sweet and just. Ugh. I normally don't go for proposal fics but this one was just so realistic and good and fluffy and made me feel all the things.
(Like I may or may not have actually teared up by how cute it was but anyway moving on)

I really liked this one too! I don't normally go for proposal fics. (not that I wouldn't love for it to happen, but) I don't really like proposals...I'm weird and don't really like romantic stuff- even though I write it sometimes. My own real life proposal was not romantic at all, just the way I wanted it. I'm weird.

I posted about this on tumblr, but I guess as a heads up in case anyone goes to find the fic and it's gone: xalo, the author of A Contemplating Soul (the super no-homo!Dan high school au) plagiarized the whole thing, and almost every other fic they had up on AO3. They are word for word copies, with only the first names and basic character descriptions changed. The "author" didn't respond to the accusation but deleted their tumblr and entire AO3 account within minutes of being asked about it.

(Yeah, I had a hunch about this and was kinda hoping I was wrong. No such luck, huh. I read this fic a while back and thought it was one of the most out-of-character phanfics I'd ever read, like the names had been changed from another story and nothing else, so I'm saddened - as in, sad that someone would stoop to plagiarise, not sad that they got caught - but not particularly surprised to learn the truth. Good on you for confronting them about it. )
Anyway, here are some recent recs of mine:
Burn and Bloom by jilliancares (Avatar: The Last Airbender AU, still a WIP). I've never watched Avatar, but I'm enjoying this fic so far. Talk It Out, Wash It Away by DryCereal. I love it.

Yeah, it's not super surprising. I had thought maybe the author turned something they wrote into fanfic, but in retrospect it was surprisingly naive of me. But the story was so damn good I didn't think too much about it.

I keep getting ambushed in PWPs by daddy kink or just dom/sub dynamic that goes a little far for me. There's a vanilla section in the phanfiction catologue but its slim pickins and one of the fics in the vanilla category has a kink warning on it!! what??

The fluffy smut tag is generally pretty kink-free. And most of them are pwp/little plot (though you might have to wade through a few chaptered fics) so you so you can probably find some there!

Hi guys, you have no idea how this thread made my life better. Just read an amazing fic called Where's Blanky and the autor started it year ago but it's still not finished. That tumblr blog seems to also be inactive so just wanted to ask if there is a finished version somewhere else on the internet. I tried AO3 but didn't find it there.
