I genuinely really enjoyed that, especially considering it was #spon! And there's a second channel video to go with it with anime recommendations! The sketch bits were great and the end with Haru pillow really got me

That Haru part. Had me in tears. It was informative and it is a ad video done right like Phils was. Not shoving the Spon down your throat but making a normal video and mentioning it at the end.

Off to watch the recommendations now and probably rewatch the main video

that Moffat mention though. I swear we was only talking about that a couple of pages ago!!

I really liked the video. His ranting on anime really showed how much trash he actually was. And he finally came out with his Haru pillow (moment of applause). I actually watched Free! because of them so it was funny to see all the terms for fangirling. Nice video Dan

Seems like Dan and Phil at least partially really enjoy sponsoring with crunchyroll since they both did ads for it. Either way, very smart business move on crunchyroll's part, as D&P actually got me into watching death note last semester (before I promptly put a hold on my budding anime habits so I could finish school).

EDIT: also, re: second channel video. Is dan just going to pretend we haven't heard the train story from the girl who met him? lol. Just use your second channel more pal, I don't care how embarrassing the anecdote is.

I love the small sketches he does. I love how passionate he is talking for 12 minutes about anime he likes. I love his genuine love for anime, I guess. And good job for crunchyroll for sponsoring the right youtubers.

could this actually be the start of the chatty side channel videos dan's been hinting at for months? i really hope so, because i really liked the feel of that video. it was a nice balance between his liveshows and main channel videos - less of the dinof persona that can be off-putting in the main channel vids but a bit more 'polished' than his liveshows.

i'm also overwhelmed by the number of homoerotic references. i feel spoiled.

don't have anything of any value to add, just wanted to comment on how much I love the tone of the second channel video (only like a couple of mins in but I wish Dan just sat and did casual vids like that more often) he's such a handsome chap

he needs to get on that second channel anecdote vid asap

i didn't have high expectations for the assumed crunchyroll spon coming up because i lost interest in anime years ago but omg!! i was so pleasantly surprised

i don't really like anime that much ive watched like 4 and dont really care about it and i cannot stand otaku culture at all and find it really gross but i liked the general format of the video, and i still laughed at the sketch parts and stuff. it was an objectively fun video i guess, i'm just not interested in the topic because i solely love neon genesis evangelion
but i like seeing that someone's japanese pronunciation is worse than mine. though he has a perfectly valid reason and i have none tbh
i didnt like the comparison between otaku culture and fangirls writing fics and stuff. its a lot worse than that, its not something to be envious of, its not a culture of people just enjoying nerdy tv shows, its really gross.
