Sorry if this has already been answered, but do we have any explanation on why they have separate bedrooms in their apartment?

I have days where I really believe they are a happy and loving couple then I have days where I have doubts. All I know is that In my 33 years of life I don't know anyone who looks at someone the way Dan looks at Phil. Not even my parents.

Well, they really do need their spaces. And Phil even forces Dan to lock himself up in the office, remember? If they have the same room, this might happen:
Phil: Hey, guys-
Dan: Psst. Phil, I left my charger.
Yeah. When the other is filming, the other might just barge in because they forgot something important in the room.
Also, even though I honestly think that they're really cuddly people, they sometimes need a bed to themselves when they're feeling grumpy or whatever. They also might get random thoughts in the middle of the day that they want to keep to themselves, or not get hit by the other's elbow while they're sleeping on the same bed. Maybe Dan doesn't want to have Phil's socks all over his room or something, or that they don't want the other to know that they're writing kinky phanfics on the internet. Maybe they want to watch two different films at the same time, or to not accidentally kill each other off while they're asleep

Just wanted to add that my grandparents were married for 43 years(would have been even longer if my grandmother hadn't passed away) and during AT LEAST 40 of those years they had their own bedrooms. So the bedroom situation has never felt the least bit strange to me.

There are certain things it can be hard to put up with when you have to share a room with somebody, no matter how much you love them. We don't know if either of them snore or anything like that. I think it's mostly that they want their own space. If I ever live with a SO I feel like I would definitely prefer my own room, just because I have SO much stuff and also because I have a much harder time sleeping when sharimg a bed with someone. xD

I also think that the reason they may not come out to us now is that people (maybe other youtubers) will think they are doing it for views. So many people online are quick to show off their romances and whole lives in order to gain popularity etc.

Agree on the bedroom thing. I know several adult couples who have their own bedrooms or sleep in different beds depending on their sleeping schedule. They also go to sleep at different times and Phil has commented how Dan's pacing back and forth in his room keeps him awake at night.

I feel you, I used to turn from phagnostic to believer and vice versa very easily, and although I'm a strong believer now, I prefer to focus on the fact that they seem pretty comfortable and happy with who they are and what they do right now.

About your point, I have to admit that having two bedrooms is a very wise decision imo. As many others has said, is a good way to have separated workspaces and have a little bit of privacy. Actually I think they find our concern about this topic pretty funny, and I think this might explain why they like to play constantly with this thing. I'm not saying they are trying to fool us, but I have the feeling that they prefer to deal with their problems in the funniest way possible, and that's why people have the impression that "they don't give a fuck anymore". I mean, I think they still care, but they try to be more relaxed about this things now, and even make a joke about it if they have the opportunity. Idk, I find it better than be mad and sad all the time.

If they confirm their relationship in the future, I would even find #busgate kinda funny -I'm not going to deny that at first I found it weird, but I ended up taking it as a joke lol- I won't be mad, because I think I understand why they want to keep this thing in this way now, I mean, years go by and the thing about the bedrooms is one of the lasts lifesavers they have.

Ahh, tell her that who says your significant other cannot be your bff too But in all honesty I am a bit (a lot) jealous of their relationship and I am sure lots of people feels share the same feeling because who would've thought that Phil noticing Dan will bring them here, 7 years later. And they have this amazing friendship, they kinda never get tired of each other's face I am amaze. It was so amazing it might have come out of a fairy tale, but it's a true story.

Since things are fairly slow, I thought I'd ask one of my burning questions. (I've read all the main threads on IDB and have gone deep into other parts of the Phandom, but there are still many things that are just not obvious if you're only been following for a few months.)

Why doesn't Phil ever smile in pictures? It doesn't make sense to me as it makes him seem rather dull and unanimated, whereas an animated Phil, especially in his early videos, can make me feel weak in the knees. Or did I maybe answer my own question?

No idea, though I guess he's self conscious about his smile? Like when he laughs his tongue sticks out and it's a d o r a b l e but he tends to cover up his mouth then as well. So that might be similar thing? I wonder if he got teased about his smile/laugh in school or something.

I'm always sad about it because he has such a nice smile I hate the deer in headlights pose it's NAGL and he just looks so good in pics like this

I've always seen that as Phil being a bit self-conscious about his teeth. He'll sometimes cover his mouth too when he laughs which is a clue. Not sure why he wouldn't just get Invisalign by now if that really was the case (Dan too for that matter).

To me it looks more like golden late-autumn sunlight. The picture looks as though it was taken in the late afternoon (yesterday?) or earlier in the morning. But at this time of year, the sun is really low even at noon, making the sunlight look more ruddy than bright, and the shadows relatively long, even in the middle of the day.
