Wait, Phil is going to the US before him? Anyone know why?
So they took the Internet takeover down with them? Not surprising, but Dan made it seem like it was entirely his and Phil's decision. If that's true, I can't imagine how that went down with all the other regular Youtubers on it. And if it wasn't entirely on them to decide what happens, then the BBC went "well, we don't have D&P, so we don't want anyone else either, fuck it", which is equally as interesting. GIVE ME THE BUSINESS DETAILS, DEPPY!

Phil is leaving before Dan to the U.S. I wonder why. Maybe he is going on holiday with his family in Florida, or he is preparing things over there.
They don’t want to leave Radio 1 forever, but no current plans.

Gosh the LS lagged when he was talking about Phil going before him. I am guessing it is a family holiday to Florida and then Dan is going to meet him. Makes sense.

I do like it that they took down the internet takeover, because it is theirs and I for one am glad no other youtubers are going to take it over.
New different merch sounds promising. Although it will be a while before it is out.
Maybe after all the touring, they are going to want to settle down and buy a house. Those are my phan trash hopes at least. A girl can dream.
Dan would like to do ballet, he thinks it’s really cool. I will pay to see him do it.

This is great.
Yes hopefully they will actually keep on doing these live shows. Doesn't have to be every week for me, but every once in a while. Wouldn't mind if they did one together.

He said "after this tour there might be another tour" and then kept winking. He said they are working things out. Let's hope they do!kooshka wrote:What exactly did he say? Yes, I really want it to happen as well. And so far it looks very likely.Kathrynxjane wrote:He said "after this tour there might be another tour" and then kept winking. It was probably decided together. The BBC knew they were going on tour again for some time now and they probably had in mind touring again after the US, so maybe they met in the middle?! I doubt that if they simply decided by themselves not to do the radio show and leave that they would be still in the Radio 1 'family'. But Dan always talks like that (that = the decision being all theirs) so idk...vsannil wrote:So they took the Internet takeover down with them? Now I'm curious if they are going only to Europe or doing more countries around the world too, tell me more pls.
I think the "we don't even know what our life is going to look like after the us tour" means just that. They've put their professional relationship with the BBC on the backburner for this tour, and even if they are already planning a European tour... yea i think he doesn't want to commit to anything to time consuming for the foreseeable future.
Also i don't want to be to big of phan damper but Phil's turning 30, they have been working closely and spending time together like never before... it wouldn't surprise me if Dan or Phil is thinking about moving to their own place.

Aw that was a good liveshow, finally explicit confirmation that Internet Takeover is being murdered (yay and nay to that); it makes sense since they'll be touring more after the US and if they're still figuring it out/planning, then it would be impossible to commit to something with R1 with a regular schedule right now. But I hope once all the touring is done, they get back on the radio asap.
Glad he didn't apologise or anything for the #spon, good stuff. He's obviously aware of the trend of discussion inspired by the videos (I'm happy that I only saw like 4 comments in the actual chat pestering him about it, though he probably ignored a bunch of premiums).
Most important part of the liveshow with that in mind:
Around 41:00

Then at the end, about the new video(s):It says something about me as a person really. I'm very indecisive, a perfectionist that worries way too much about the meaning of things, overanalyzes everything and is way too concerned with what other people think.
(discussing how he can't just pick a 'favourite' thing when asked)
Like 'whoa i need to think about this for like a week', which is, you know, the reason for a lot of things...
I think it was a very nice way of dealing with it.Thank you for all of the kind comments. [That video took ages, it wasn't just an ISG, it was 'let's set up the green screen..']. You were all very nice about it, that's good, so #thankyou!
Definitely, they need to find themselves some ladies to settle down with, who wants just a roommate in their 30s?Stakhanov wrote: Also i don't want to be to big of phan damper but Phil's turning 30, they have been working closely and spending time together like never before... it wouldn't surprise me if Dan or Phil is thinking about moving to their own place.

I guess it all depends on the venues' availabilities but I wonder why they didn't do the Europe tour after the UK tour rather than going to North America first. Ah well.
I think that Dan was a bit more transparent than Phil was with their uncertainty about what will happen with the BBC after they're done touring. I'm glad Dan confirmed he'd definitely be doing liveshows during touring. Not that I had any doubt as we all know they're under a contract lol.
Overall I enjoyed this liveshow!

dan also said that the internet takeover (one hour a month) was a promotion and that the bbc wanted them to do the morning show(who is nick grimshaw, peasant). Dan makes it look like the actual BBC is on their knees begging and kissing his and phils ass. I wouldnt take dan seriously.vsannil wrote:So they took the Internet takeover down with them? I wonder if phil is going on holiday or to work organizing and producing their tour. Dan also sounded like he didnt know when he was leaving the country. Maybe he will go on holiday too #phandivorced or join phils family #phanmarried
I've lost any hope for the gaming channel. I dont think they have filmed many(any)videos and they have a week or so to film before phil leaves. From what dan said i feel like they havent filmed any undertale or even dil.
D&P Undertale finale: year 2022
45 world tours, a house, a koi pond, two dogs and a wedding later
loved the show - especially the first half he seemed really happy - I'm not the analyzing kind of person so I might be wrong but he seems the kind of person who is more stressed before than during 'work' - like genuinely this was (from my pov) the best show in about a month (or maybe more). He seemed much more stressed before all the rehearsals, but now after the start and all is advancing nicely although with cuts & bruises & tiredness but otherwise seem to be happy with the concept and the new added things & filled with energy (and determination
). nice to watch. honestly so nice to watch a show like that
loved that he seems to really like how the anime video turned out himself - very relaxed about it, lovely, didn't try to explain, just really seemed to enjoy the result (this show more than anything made me feel for some reason super confident that he is being more and more open and just being himself and oh it's so nice to watch )
loved the Friends mention - cute Ross, adorable Joey, loves Chandler/Monica - loved that part
I think I might actually rewatch this ls

Dan reminding everyone that he is, in fact, a sensitive perfectionist is the number 1 reason I can't see all the mention of cute boys being just 'fanservice.' He knows exactly what he's doing and how things will come across nowadays.fancybum wrote: Most important part of the liveshow with that in mind:

I'm about half way through and I think I have an idea why I'm liking this live show. I think he gets more defensive when he feels bad about the content that he is putting out. I think rn he feels good about the video he's just uploaded, and feels less pressure. He just seems much more easygoing and at level with his audience.

I liked that liveshow. There were a few things that it made me think about.
I am excited for the tour, but I didn't expect them to go to America so soon. I guess they have stuff out there that needs sorting & probably want to get in a sneaky holiday beforehand. Gonna have to turn those twitter notifications off as I don't want to be constantly woken up in the middle of the night for 3 months.
I think tonight it finally hit me how big the tour actually is, now especially with it being so close. It's MASSIVE. 42 dates, in roughly 50 days, like seriously how are they going to cope being on a tour bus and then performing every night. When it's all over it'll be interesting to see how they've coped, which I'm sure they'll do fine, but a small percentage of me thinks they're going to burn out. The pressure of touring, performing, doing liveshows, trying to upload videos, surely it's going to be a lot of work for them. Have any other youtubers actually done a tour this long?
The UK leg of the tour was nowhere near this big, and they both looked done in afterwards.
Seeing as Phil said he wasn't doing a liveshow this Sunday, I assume he must be going this week/the weekend. Dan said they were going to try and film a few more videos so they had some ready to upload, good luck trying to fit that, rehearsals and editing in. For once, I don't envy them at all.
Glad to see they haven't forgotten about the rest of the world though with the tour, it excites me that they will still have more tour to plan after this, they weren't kidding when they said they wanted to take it to as many places as they physically can. 2016 is the year of the D&P tour for reals. Everyone deserves a chance to see tatinof, it really is such a good show they've put together. I hope people on here will write some reviews when they go.
His discussion about Wetherspoons, lolz. He is 100% correct, literally old men go in there to drink ale, or young students because it's cheap af. The only other people who like to go in there are me, human & felucca before tatinof to eat nachos and drink cheap drinks named "crafy dan" (not even joking).
Also, he was 10000000% spot on about The Walking Dead finale, but I wrote about that in the TV thread yesterday

I liked the live show a lot. He seemed happy with his latest videos and it seemed that he got good feedback from it which make him happy. Being busy and having a purpose seems to suit him as well.
People have been saying every year that this is the years that Phil and Dan are no longer going to live together, and so far it hasn’t happened yet. Besides I get the feeling that they still enjoy living together, and wouldn’t like to live alone.

If I rememember correctly they've been saying a lot of stuff regarding asia at least? So it could pretty well be like "the rest of the world-tour".fakelights wrote: Now I'm curious if they are going only to Europe or doing more countries around the world too, tell me more pls.

this is probably the last full continent/land mass tour, with the end of the year just being an assortment of other countries rather than a specific europe tour, asia tour etc
