[offtopic]Hi everyone,

Sorry to distract everyone from Hector's always hilarious drawings but I feel that as many of you are long-time members of IBD (and who I would consider members of authority in the phandom) you can help me with this....
When searching through tumblr earlier, i searched for 'dan and phil gay' (Don't judge me, my curious mind gets the better of itself sometimes). Under recent posts, I saw that someone has uploaded the voldy vid....

So I watched it about three times on a loop (as it was my first time watching it) and I immediately felt guilty about looking at it. I know that you had a discussion about it several times on GG and on here (maybe a few threads back). I need to get my opinion about it out of my system. Based on looking at that vid and the way Phil spoke in it, about his feelings and memories with Dan, I am sure that was NOT a prank. He spoke in his soft voice that you don't hear that much in his videos anymore, more so in his older vids. That was not acting. That was an extremely personal video (obvs it was private) and now after watching it, I feel I've intruded too much into their lives. And now I can understand the background around 2012 and Dan's behaviour.



Also, I remember reading the transcript of the video with some doodles on tumblr. I had no idea that Phil drew those accompanying doodles himself.

Long story short, I feel like the majority of the phandom now, I want that video off that website so that Deppy don't see it. The account (danandphilsorry) has tagged them in it. Maybe it might be deleted by the time that anyone here sees it but it had a crudely-worded description of their 'gay relationship'.
How does one get a post taken down off tumblr? I've explained everything under the spoiler and gushed about my feelings too.[/offtopic]

i haven't seen anyone mention it yet but chris briefly mentioned deppy in his liveshow yesterday. it's here @around 34 minutes.

(chat) why do you have two chairs if no one's sitting on the chair? i've got someone sitting on the chair, it's my best friend dan and phil. hello dan and phil. my best friends. these are my best - my best boyfriends as in friends that are boy-, i love these two, i mean i don't see them in real life cause they're too busy with their liveshows and the dancing, so i just have to imagine that they're here.

you can report the post by clicking on the "message to" (paperplane) icon and then choosing "report" from the menu and selecting "this violates tumblr's community guidelines". there's also a page where you can report privacy violations. i've never done that but there's an option for someone else's privacy being violated.

p.s. dunno why people still bother reporting voldy. i think they don't give much fucks now, it's been up on someone's tumblr blog since at least summer 2016 and the link still works.

and yeah i'm not really sure, i personally don't hear the "s" but i didn't mean to imply he was necessarily cutting himself off from saying "boyfriends", he seemed to be just trailing off imo.

It didn't occur to me to post that about Chris' liveshow. I love his whole manner in them, he's in sarcastic mode the whole time and it's funny, but bits like that are a little sad. Friends grow apart and all that, but sometimes you get left behind and it's no fun. He is great, though, I'd even say he has a better fringe (he's committed to a whole-forehead covering fringe anyway).

I reported the vid too, though last time I reported on someone else's behalf they said it had to come from the account of the person affected. They also say not to report repeatedly as it clogs their system rather than speeding things up, I forgot that before I sent it, that appears when it's sent.

Hector is so precious I wonder if one day we will see the bee illustration again, this time properly framed and hanging on a wall.

Has anyone ever been able to find the ratings for the episode of The Lion Guard that were in? Wikipedia still has that one listed as N/A and I'm curious if the phandom had any influence on them. I doubt it but still..

I'm curious as well! I just spent way too long sleuthing online and I couldn't find anything for any of the episodes 22 on...

I bet there wasn't a big jump though, it's already one of the top viewed shows for that timeslot/target audience...and I bet most fans watched the episode through *cough* dubious means

I can say that the reviews of their episodes are completely on the median for the season's episodes, so at least we know people at least liked their voice acting
TV Guide only listed Dan as the "guest cast" and I am high key annoyed

In one of the only Dan liveshows I've watched live I noticed Hector was also watching, and in that moment i saw the #dantor light.

I thought it was just because he wore it in his profile pic in 2012 (and used that pic for several years...it's still the icon for his yt channel) so it was there when he got his big subscriber boost and people began associating him with it. I can't recall that he wore it especially often except for his channel trailer, which was in 2014.

Yeah it's mostly because of that BBC promo pic that was used as a profile pic for centuries, but he did wear it plenty around that time period. I went back (because I'm really bored) and he wore it more than most other shirts; in the very first Sunday radio show, Vidcon 2012 and Playlist 2013 meet ups, Near Death Experience (the video uploaded right before I Will Go Down With This Ship which made him blow up so it got a good amount of views), the first Innuendo Bingo and he even drew himself wearing it in his Draw My Life. It was definitely one of his favorite shirts for a while.
