Yay, happy 1 year anniversary of one of the biggest finds ever.

Also, I'm so glad they learnt not to forget us during a busy times again. I'm still not fully over the drought last year, it was too real.

People are SO blatant about hanging out on D&P's street, I think they think it's acceptable because it's kind of a main road. When their address first got leaked my dad asked me if it was a new trend to draw whiskers on your face, because he saw a fair few people standing around on the high street with them on.

It's such a bizarre concept that anyone would think it's worth making their faves uncomfortable and invading their personal space just to get a selfie!? Like that's literally all you get, a picture. And I suppose lots of people on Twitter @replying you with your name in caps!

It makes me laugh when people do meet them and then try to not look like a stalker because they apparently "just walked into them from work" "just happened to be on the same street" when the photo is literally taken 2 seconds from Deps front door and the person works no where near.
I go to their area every now and again for gigs and I would cringe so hard if I saw them, I definitely wouldn't approach them as it's not a situation like they're working and it may be okay to say hello. Totally not worth it to invade their privacy. Sometimes Deppy look so uncomfortable in the photo too, I wouldn't be bragging about it for sure.

I find it funny that it made its way over there for an explanation, but I have seen it on so many youtube videos and I'm sure we all watch channels that are pretty removed from Deppy and anyone associated with them so it travels randomly and wide.

I liked Dan's liveshow, late to the party I know, it's been a bit crazy lately. He was chilled, cute and fluffy and funny. The moving-painting hint seemed, well, hinty, don't know how real yet.

I don't think they are, but I do wonder what it would imply if it's known that they are still choosing to live together at the age of 30. They were still quite young when moving in to the current apartment, but I feel like it would imply a lot more if they were still moving in together in a new house now. Will they still play the 'best friend' card or let people conclude what they want? Would people outside of the fandom assume they were together based off of this decision and their age?

It might have played a part in them staying in the same apartment so long; them feeling backed into a corner because not living together was not an option, but buying a house/moving in to a new place together so many years later would reveal too much for their liking. Maybe that's why they've been easing their way in to male mentions statements and easing up on the 'we don't do everything together' shtick (like them admitting they were both going to IOM for Phil's birthday etc.).

Also, quick thought: could it be that they had started moving during Phil's 'Wholesome Howell says Hi' liveshow? Just because I remembered he was sorting out all of his clothes and I would definitely throw away clothes I never wear when packing them up to move...

JustMe I just wanted to say I don't think it implies anything, really. Doesn't Hazel live with Doddie? And she's I think older than Phil. My brother is a year younger than Phil and he shares a flat with a friend. It's not really that out of the norm for two friends at their age to live together is what I'm trying to say. 30 is old compared to the majority of the phandom, but not really old.
Although I believe they're moving together, I kinda wish they would move apart just to see the chaos it would create in the phandom.

this would be more likely if the last two years (especially last year) werent deliberately focused around the dan and phil brand rather than around their individual channels. at this point, theyre in it together until they leave youtube imo

The new Phil video was funny but nothing special. Just a cute filler video. And considering he uploaded not long ago before this, I'm perfectly fine with that.
I have a feeling the thing Dan was complaining about was Phil possibly pranking him with the gummy bears. But I remember Dan eating death sauce in Japan like it was no big deal so I kind of doubt those gummy bears would be that bad. I guess if you aren't expecting it that could be p awful

Well, that was a fun video. He makes them flow so well, so practised at it especially when he's saying the end stuff, makes it seem like he's so good at just getting a video done and uploaded. This was funny, I love how his hands looked by the end. The phrase "more money than sense" springs to mind sometimes. Expensive hotel water tastes like watery milk? You're right, Phil, we don't know that Those chilli gummies sound ridiculous, I think they're from fricking Firebox again. It would be interesting to see him with proper silver hair, though he might right that he's too pale. The paste look was like his hair was halfway through being shampooed before rinsing. I wouldn't want anything lemon-scented, that stuff's annoying, but that thing looked cute.

Video was kind of dull, thrown together quickly. It's hard to tell whether these genuinely came from "The Drawer of Shame" or were just bought for this video, can't tell between Phil's fibs and truth. There's meant to be a second video, isn't there? Bring on that!

there is something special about having your OWN space to do whatever you want with. this you can only truly do if a) you live alone or B) you live with bae.

and jokingly said to my friend right after, watch him do the chapstick challenge by himself. I was actually quite surprised when he actually did that in the video. But other than that, the video wasn't really... good? It felt more like something that could've just been covered in a live show?? The humidifier was in the last live show so... also I do agree that the side channel video dan was talking about was for sure with the gummy bears.

I feel like everyone saying this was 'nothing special' is forgetting that this is a very typical Phil video that makes up a good portion of the videos that he posts. I'd say this is pretty on par with what makes up the AmazingPhil channel. What else does he even do? Random sit and tell a story videos, collabs with Dan, and these random show and tell videos. It's hard to call this one a lazy/hastily put together video when none of his other videos seem like they require all that more preparation to me. (Though if you just didn't like it, that's fair. I just think you can not like a video without it necessarily being Phil not putting as much effort in.)

That said, I thought it was pretty cute. I actually do think he bought those random things out of a curiosity for them, and if he had the video in mind then it was a combination of both and not just him picking crap solely for a video.

I think I wanna retract my earlier "nothing special" comment about this video after a rewatch. I think it was very funny and light, and I really enjoyed the face rating system.
I think I was a bit "meh" at first because I geared up for him actually dyeing his hair silver, and then when that didn't happen I was just like... oh. But then once I got past that and watched again, I was able to just enjoy the video.

Exactly! When I was a casual fan I used to think it was funny they lived in my area and it'd be cool to run in them on the way to or from the office, but now I'm a bit more in the Phandom I'd actually like them to move away because I feel paranoid every time I'm on their street (which is like, daily).

If I saw them close to their house I would feel too self-conscious to go up to them in case they thought I was stalking them! I'd probably just hyperventilate and then come on here to squee about it haha.

They always seem to allude to male attraction rather than female attraction when there's the opportunity for a suggestive joke, or at least it seems that way in the last year or so. Is that a conscious marketing decision? What if instead of the tin man joke he alluded to Storm or some other silvery woman? Would it be seen as more inappropriate to talk about females in the same way they make jokes about males? And do they fear alluding to female attraction might alienate their mainly young female audience? Not meaning to generalise the whole audience as being heterosexual hormonal teen fangirls, or that anyone who does fall into that category will act like this, but there's always one hostile group who get jealous and overprotective of them when any female is mentioned/featured in a video and will direct hate towards said females, whereas comments about male attraction are encouraged and praised. No female is safe on 's channels. I'm not sure why I brought this up, but I just noticed the allusions to male attraction far outweigh the allusions to female attraction. Maybe they're just making up for lost time? Haha.

All I can say then is poor Dan after watching him slather that chapstick on so thick his lips went white although could lead to some slippery fun later if you know what i mean winkwinknudgenudge.I couldn't un-see that he left a big area of his upper lip covered afterwards and I just wanted him to wipe it.

I enjoyed the video, I almost expected him to bring Dan in for the black water as it would have been quite fitting but I did like it that it was just Phil for a change. I couldn't imagine drinking that black water, it looked so weird but now I really want to try it. The sound effect for "no" made me chuckle much more than it probably should. His emojis also made me miss the D&P emojis that we made and rarely ever use now...

Youtubers that collab with eachother frequently have an extra incentive to live together, even if they could afford to live apart.
Of course they could pull a Tim Burton & Helena Bonham-Carter type of arrangement and live in adjacent homes/apartments.

The most sensible thing to me would be to separate work and home and that way they will protect their privacy best.

I'm feeling a bit phan skeptical for some reason.
