Hmmm I never really know where I stand on the ethics of approaching dnp (or other celebs) in public. On the one hand,I imagine it must get tiring and I wouldn't blame them for wanting to go somewhere without getting recognised. They really can't let their guard down anywhere they go in case someone spots them.

But on the other hand, I completely agree that it comes with the territory - that you can't reap the financial benefits of having an adoring fanbase whilst simultaneously ignoring said fanbase. It's completely understandable to me that people ask for pictures when they bump into them (deliberately stalking them in order to get a picture is a different story entirely, I don't condone that).

They'll be in Melbourne (where I live) in less than a week and I'd be lying if I said I haven't thought about what I'll do if I run into them (tbh I probably won't as I have next week off so I likely won't even leave my house lol). If, by some weird miracle, I do though I really have no idea whether or not I'd approach them. I'd feel completely awkward and like I was inconveniencing them, but at the same time I know I'd regret it if I didn't say something.

Anyway this has been an entirely pointless rant, I guess to summarise: It must be frustrating to constantly be on alert in public in case someone recognises them, but I totally understand why people approach them, especially when they're not in the UK (or Florida/Anaheim) as chances are people in Singapore (and Australia etc) will never be in a position where they'll be able to meet them again, and for some people I imagine it must be pretty surreal to meet them irl.

(Also I hope they are having an amazing time in Singapore, I support all Dan's fashion choices, Phil's shorts are also great, I am thoroughly enjoying getting little glimpses into their holiday and am v excited for them to get to Australia )

Also this may sound weird but before the hobbit hair was a thing all the time I really didn't like some of Dan's fashion choices. Sometimes it just didn't look right for him to have straight emo hair and then to be wearing a yeezy sweater or something. But now that he's rocking the curly hair I honestly think he pulls everything off better. Maybe it's my imagination.

I mean they most likely aren't at the there anymore (it looks like this is from yesterday), which is why they tag it, but like This is the first time I've ever seen them tag locations? Bit of a pointless post but I have to say that I really love Dan's sakura shirt, it's gorgeous and I'm already looking forward to seeing it in other photos His hair and outfits are spot on for me! Phil is looking really great too...I hope they're having an amazing time in Singapore

I feel very conflicted about meeting them...on the one hand, I desperately would love to meet them and have a little chat but the idea that I could be inconveniencing them or making them resent me is enough to scare me off! Maybe one day I'll try and get to a meet & greet but I'm not too keen on those either

also, is dan wearing the same shirt from yesterday? never mind, this WAS yesterday. this just reminds me again how MUCH photos they must have on their phones! dan's just liked phil's reply to him on twitter, too, so folks will be happy about that instead of panicking. i like to imagine them checking each other's twitter accounts. they have their fingerprints saved on each other's phones, probably have passwords logged in to their different accounts too. not that much of a stretch, and phil's already proven that he can copy dan's kind of tweets perfectly.

it's so great to think we're sharing the time zone so anytime they'll post, i can actually be awake for it.

If he does, he's warmed us up well (with this and the tumblr queue) for some intense furry antics.

Is it just me or does Phil's picture look a lot more like a roaring competition than an attempt at what Dan was imitating?

They do not usually vlog, but they occasionally do "Day in the life" (ditl) videos. (Occasionally = once every year or so) They did a Japan one, so they may do one for this holiday as well. I hope they do. I think occasional ditls is a good compromise which shows us enough of their lives to feel intimate, while saving them the hassle and constant stress of vlogging every single day.

Vlogging this holiday will also give them another year before people will expect a ditl in which we might see wherever they are then living (if they're moving at all ). If they want to keep the ditl tradition and also hold off showing us their new home for as long as possible, a ditl on this holiday would help.

And I think Phil has already stated he doesn't want to do any more ditls that are an actual reflection of a normal day in the life of Dan and Phil as he deems that boring so them doing one in Singapore to get this years out of the way is entirely plausible.
Particularly if they are looking to keep fans distracted at the moment to have less time to speculate about their living arrangements.

Some catching up notes:

Quenching thirst: That setup seems to be popular - I just saw a photo of the same place in another feed I subscribe to...

Dan's sandals: Not bad, but ~$200 is a tad expensive - I purchased a pair in Florida last year, and it took me a while to justify separating with the $70 bucks I paid for them. (And size 11 is not really that small for someone 6'2"-3". I had a hallmate in college that was Dan's height, but his feet were size 8 or 9 - that is small (he was kind of spastic too - and of course, we diagnosed that his small feet was a contributing factor.)

Dan's ripped jeans: I'm old school / in the minority, but I do not like paying for ripped jeans. If they rip on their own, fine. However, I do approve of wearing accessible (affordable) "fashion."

Phil's shorts: Thank the heavens that Phil seems to be ditching Capri pants he typically wears that masquerade as shorts. Proper shorts are for ventilation in hot weather; tight shorts that fall below the knee fail their primary purpose for existence.

Phil's hair: needs reevaluation. (I'm loving Dan's new doo, particularly a couple days after being cut.)
