Agreeing with all this. I used to love Phil's hair, when it was the same sort of style but more fluffy and less ironed flat to his head. I'm not keen on his hair pushed back, but it looks far better than his current style. I think he'd suit something slightly spiky. There was a moment in the silver hair video when he was working the goop through, and it was all mussed up where I thought, dayum Philip that should be your new style.

Dan's change in hairstyle and clothing has definitely brought out a desire in me to see Phil keep up with Dan. However, I respect that he must be happy with his current choices. His response to people saying they would miss his glasses if he gets eye surgery applies here, "It's really about my life." Or something along those lines. That probs wasn't an exact quote.

Also don't know where to say this so will just add it here. I'm new to IDB, so I've been going back and reading all the posts about some past events such as Dan's RYC. So much good banter! Good roasts of Phil. I like to think deppy could appreciate IDB as the most mature and i depth discussion of their vids. So I hope any insight or humor I can contribute can rise to the level you all have displayed.

oh wow Seeing dan being this happy and confident and bold with his fashion choices lately is making me so happy and proud (and also inspiring me to step up my own fashion game tbh; I'm strongly considering buying yesterday's ripped topman jeans for myself). wow I wish I had less emotions about this I am loving seeing Dan's exploration of style/presentation, seeing him being less safe in his choices (not that I haven't liked his previous choices, he's just perfectly sat in my sense of style now!). I loved the long lines of the shirt (once I got over the surprise vs his seated picture!), and I love how soft and pleased he looks in this pic and how willing he is to share - this is something so subtle we probably wouldn't have noticed without this post. On the one hand fuck him we're all dying here, but I do really love seeing his confidence in posting pictures like that. He knows full well what he's doing to us! Although it's kinda odd that he's not tweeted either of these? Just posted them on instagram/tumblr.

I agree with others that it'd be nice to see more exploration from Phil, too. I do like his sense of style as is, I think it suits him and I'd be surprised if it changed much tbh, but it'd be super cool to just to see more within it - like that funky birdprint shirt he showed in A Very Sleepless Night With Phil! - rather than the 10 or so shirts he currently rotates. He doesn't seem to care about fashion as much as we know Dan does, but maybe seeing Dan having fun with it could inspire him to keep his eyes open a bit.

I never really hopped on the nail polish train since I didn't figure Dan would try a colour other than black, but I've been secretly hoping he'd do a light pink or something that isn't as bold as black. So in other words, these glitter nails have me feeling very content. I wonder how long he'll keep it on. I'm not going to get my hopes up, but part of me really hopes he likes it and brings it back every once in while, it looks so cute

I'm happy to see the jat make a return, and you can see how dark and pretty his eyelashes are... this is just such a good picture. He's been killing me recently with all these new looks and photos.

I agree that he seems very confident as of lately, and as cheesy as it sounds, I hope that's exactly how he feels.

It also looks to me like he took this on the plane. I assume he didn't paint them on the plane though as I'm pretty sure he said himself the he doesn't like the smell (ruins the calming experience or something like that) so I doubt he would put other people through it. Yes, I'm pretty sure that's the difference. Last time I kept seeing everyone screaming "PAINT YOUR NAILS" at him and I'm pretty sure he had people freak out about it at the M&G as well. I think he did it when he wasn't very confident about it or didn't think it looked good or something, so he immediately took it off and he might have regretted it. I think he wasn't ready. Hence no selfie.

But things are very different this time: He embraces his curls, he makes bolder fashion choices, he posts selfies that radiate confidence, etc. I genuinely believe that he's more confident now or at least had a confidence boost for some reason and I love it. It seems to me that this time, he put the nail polish on because he himself wanted to do it and thought it would look good. And that's why he posted a picture of it. Because he felt confident about himself, not because he felt pressured to do it. I also believe people haven't bothered him with "PAINT YOUR NAILS" lately (?).

Last time, I wasn't very happy about him painting his nails because it felt so forced, this time I smiled. I may not be a fan of all of his style choices but I am a fan of him expressing himself the way he wants And the nail polish does look great!

Also, Happy Easter, I'm not religious, I'm just celebrating it for the food, alcohol, and spending time with my family

Random outpouring of thoughts: bless dan in both of those selfies, I wish I had legs as long as his I'm insanely jealous, and there's no way he knows about base coats so lol enjoy getting that glitter off. maybe they both wanted to change their styles but didn't want to do it at the same time (as to make it more gradual and maintain brand recognition), so they settled it via rock/paper/scissors. dan won, so he gets to do it first while phil is per contract obliged to keep his old style for four more months. but look forward to august: that's when pushed back hair!phil will rise. (it's also, coincidentally, what dan was so stressed about in march. "ask me about that week in march" -- this explains why we have to wait until august to ask him about it, because that's when the new phil will have emerged.) wake up! it's all out there!

Sad to hear you've not been feeling well. I can relate on the depression side of things, I get it real bad (medication kind of helps) and this place is a good distraction for me too. Hope you feel better soon, in the mean time, take it easy. Mental Health is important, so take care of yourself.

Also, loving Dan's fashion recently, it's very different and it's awesome, it's refreshing to see something a bit different (i.e the plaid/flannel shirt, ripped jeans, nail varnish that was really pretty.) As for Phil, he'll probably change it up when he's ready.
