Holy. Shit. Your post is preaching the truth right now. So much. Esp this part because years ago, he brought up the idea of losing the fringe, but now it's 2017 and it's still there. Why? Is it a security blanket? Can Dan inspire him to make the leap? Please?

Phil's Singapore insta is honestly ruined by that lego hair he calls a fringe. Like, I love the guy, but jfc change can be good. At this point, it's like a backwards mullet with how much he's shaved off the back. And, honestly? The saddest part is how good he looks with his hair pushed back:

I didn't even realize how bad Phil's hair looks from the side. It would be acceptable if it was fluffier like in 2012. It's really outdated now and I he's just kinda.... too old for it?

I feel like phils hair could still work if it was a tad longer and just a bit messier and not as poker straight but I do find it hard to think of a new hairstyle he could have, with dan I've been praying to the gods for natural curls with short sides for so long and knew it would look good but I struggle to think of something different for philly bob

wow I wish I had less emotions about this I am loving seeing Dan's exploration of style/presentation, seeing him being less safe in his choices (not that I haven't liked his previous choices, he's just perfectly sat in my sense of style now!). I loved the long lines of the shirt (once I got over the surprise vs his seated picture!), and I love how soft and pleased he looks in this pic and how willing he is to share - this is something so subtle we probably wouldn't have noticed without this post. On the one hand fuck him we're all dying here, but I do really love seeing his confidence in posting pictures like that. He knows full well what he's doing to us! Although it's kinda odd that he's not tweeted either of these? Just posted them on instagram/tumblr.

When I first saw the picture on insta I actually didn't notice and didn't understand what you all were on about when I came here.

I agree with others that it'd be nice to see more exploration from Phil, too. I do like his sense of style as is, I think it suits him and I'd be surprised if it changed much tbh, but it'd be super cool to just to see more within it - like that funky birdprint shirt he showed in A Very Sleepless Night With Phil! - rather than the 10 or so shirts he currently rotates. He doesn't seem to care about fashion as much as we know Dan does, but maybe seeing Dan having fun with it could inspire him to keep his eyes open a bit.

Yeah, I think the problem with the m&g pics is that he looks a bit boring next to Dan. That plain white t-shirt, meh. In general I think he is quite good at epxressing his personality and wearing things that suits him. Maybe he just needs to tweek his style a bit. I mean, Dan bascially wore black skinny jeans and a plaid shirt, but in a differnt way.

And yes, he needs to do something with that fringe. Everytime I see it plastered to his forhead I just want to ruffle it (and not in any kind of sexual or romantic way), he needs more volume. Come in Dan, do it for me!!

i saw 4 or 5 posts on tumblr alluding to that as well, but all of them were really vague. so it might be it happened, or it might be blown out of proportion (the latest one i saw implicated that dan deleted the video himself and the fan even tweeted him about still having the footage which wasn't part of the earlier posts i saw).

either way there have been quite enough creepshots the last days, so a fan filming them and dan asking to delete it wouldn't really be surprising imo. it always makes me uncomfortable too when people film their meet and greets using their phones' front camera without announcing to do so.

I wish people didn't drag it on for so long (not talking about people on here, mainly on tumblr) and turn it into a huge deal when (in my opinion) it doesn't really need to be as the majority of fans seem to be respectful and kind.

Having said that - I'm always so confused about how people stalk them at the airport? Do they literally wait around all day just in case? Don't their parents think it's weird/inappropriate for them to do that?

I can't believe Dan's out there posting another selfie! I really hope he's done this because he wants to, and is feeling more confident in his skin/presentation choices. I'm really with you all though that I really need an updated look from Phil, though. As pretty much everyone has said, he is so lovely, and it's a shame that hairstyle doesn't work anymore.

Also, I do feel like the ambushing at the airport probs got completely out of hand, and people need to not stalk them there. But I do also feel like the whole video-deleting thing got blown out of proportion on Tumblr (even if I don't totally buy that girl's explanation of what really happened). Often people tend to take one stalkery interaction that we hear about and say that this is terrible, that Dan and Phil won't trust us anymore, that we'll immediately go back to a time of more-closed doors. But in reality I think they probably (and unfortunately) deal with so many more not-okay interactions than we even know about, and are able to move past it and remind themselves that for every person who stalks them there are a lot of people who don't, etc. At least, I assume they have a system in place of how to mentally refresh, otherwise I think they'd go crazy with frustration.

i never understand how in cases like this some people will start from a place where they (possibly rightfully so) feel that a line was crossed by a fan, but then go ahead, track their account down and send rude messages or post their usernames even if the post in question has been deleted.

i've been wondering too about how people find them -- when people caption their photos with stuff like "finally found them" it makes it seem as if they literally divvy up and comb the city for any trace of them.

Someone who appears to routinely stalk for celebs at the airport (does it matter if she wasn't there for Dan and Phil? She admits she was there waiting on a different youtuber, it wasn't a casually-bumped-into-them encounter) recorded something Dan didn't like, he deleted it, she posted it anyway.

If she's sorry now that's great, she'll remember this and have more respect next time. But her attitude in that post feels like she thought people misunderstood what happened - and no, I don't think anyone did.

alittledizzy, just to add to your post: i do think there was some misunderstanding because from the post i saw last, it seemed as if she @tweeted dan about the video in a sort of malicious way, but i think it seems more like as if she thought he wasn't being too serious about deleting it and it was something she could joke about and possibly get a reply. doesn't change the fact that she filmed and posted it in the first place, of course.

it's just a bit hypocritical of some parts of the phandom to name and shame her when at the same time creepshots like the elevator one are reblogged and "celebrated", i guess?

Not heading home yet - they still have the festival in Melbourne on Easter Monday (tomorrow).

Dan's selfies are cute. I've never liked Phil's hair that much unfortunately (since i started watching in late 2013, anyway). Quiff looks good but atm all I am craving is some life and change. I know he loves constancy but a little change can be a good thing.

Few things make me want to throw my phone across the room as much as people on twitter mindlessly defending their hours of airport stalking just because d&p are too nice to say no to their viewers' faces. Dan has explicitly said not to go to airports to try and meet them (which should be common sense), so the stalking is wilfully taking advantage of their good natures and I am not down with that. Disappointed that it happened last time deppy were here as well.

i think there's also misunderstanding about what the video she took and dan deleted actually contained? because a lot of people were posting that it was a long video of her and her friends following d&p around the airport (which i wouldn't be surprised about, since it looks like she and her friends really did camp out there for hours). but her post makes it sound like the video was just something taken while dan was posing for a picture so that discrepancy is a bit odd. but in general, i'm definitely with dizzy and others in stating that regardless of the content of the video or whatever else, she doesn't seem totally innocuous in this situation and i think it's fair to acknowledge the discomfort imposed on d&p when several fans camp out in the airport for pics

I’m really sad they got ambushed at the airport again and that there’s new phandom drama but I’m really living for Dan’s fashion choices lately. He looks so good? These new styles just fit him so well. And he looks like he’s actually comfortable with what he’s wearing. I hope the phandom doesn’t ruin this for him.

As for Phil, I’d also like to see him update his hairstyle a little. I think he outgrew the black emo hair a while ago and would look much better with a different hairstyle and a more natural hair colour but it’s his choice of course. But yeah, I think the black hair makes him look even paler than he actually is. A lighter brown might suit him much better.

If the people you are filming don't now about it/don't want it, I don't think it really matters how it was filmed, why it was filmed, or what it contains. You just don't post stalkerish films or pictures online. Sure, if you really need to, take the pic or the vid for your own sake and keep it as a reminder or what ever. But for me, posting is really crossing the line for what is acceptable.
