With all the close ups of their faces, not sure at this point if it the editing is on point, or just obnoxious, somewhere in between yet still entertaining.

I personally shudder in horror at the idea of them doing a book based on their personas. Dan doing a book on how to survive being an awkward person and avoid those existentialism sounds like my idea of hell. So many topics and concepts have already been trivialized and beaten to death.

so, about the whole "coming out" thing, I think it's true that dan is coming out, and on his own terms, which is really great for him, and it seems to work amazingly for him, and I'm kind of glad that people find it inspiring.

But, on the other hand, his refusal to come out in the traditional way makes things kind of harder, for us as an audience, who want something more concrete, so we can have a role model which we can point at, and tell other people about, as an example (like, they won't be in any list of "bisexual famous people").

I mean, they aren't obligated to be anything to us, of course, but I think, we as an audience also feel kind of disillusioned, in a weird way. We don't really have a lot of positive bisexual representation in media, and Dan and Phil would fit that role perfectly.

Basically your entire post I agree with. On one hand, while I don't want to force them, I would like for them to have positive bisexual representation, even on YouTube. Everywhere is particularly lacking, but I would love, maybe someday, that they're open and open to their experiences and sexuality. I don't think they necessary want to be representatives, have that role or authority. Then again Dan has been making so many hints and references lately I wonder if that necessary stands.

I am all for the overanalyzing, but I'm not sure why anyone would take antiphan vibes from this video. Of the options available to them, none said "Be in a loving and sexually satisfying long term relationship with the monkey" - and even if it had, Dan and Phil are incredibly aware that their answers are being read into. No one has 'hypothetical bestiality predicament on a youtube gaming channel' marked down as their ideal coming out scenario.

both of them looked so tired in this new video. i know they filmed it before australia but they are probably still exausted bc of jet lag. hopefully they've found a (cough private island resort sex cabana cough ) place they can get some rest. I can't figure out if I enjoyed the video just because I enjoyed it or because literally anything is better than Horse Prince.

Um, so, here’s the thing.

To make the new timestamps forum we needed to create it without it being visible to anyone other than mods, so the access permissions didn’t let any regular poster see it until we made it public. When we changed those permissions to allow anyone to see it, we forgot to change the permissions on the subforums within the timestamps section so that everyone could see them.

We should have double checked everything was working, and I’m very sorry for our mistake. The permissions have been set to allow everyone access now. If you go to the new section, you should see subforums for different channels at the top of the page.

i've thought a bit about it and i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't always sleep in the same bed (if they are together). sometimes you just need your own space, sometimes they won't stop snoring and you can't sleep, sometimes you want to stay up on the internet and not bother the other person. i think it would be a sign of a pretty healthy relationship in which they both know what they want and are very comfortable with each other to the point of not being offended that the other would like to sleep alone for the night. so i thought that comment was really cute, even if it actually has nothing to do with their sleeping arrangements.

as far as the video, i did enjoy it. there were definitely some good bants, imo. but i kind of wish they'd play more actual games. i know they've been busy but i feel like a lot of the stuff they do on the gaming channel can't really be considered a game. i wish they'd do more series' like undertale.

So, in the goat question Dan refuses to answer, primarily, because he knows it will be interpreted as a being about phan and he's not about that life. Or because, you know, he did, metaphorically speaking, have sex with a goat, doesn't say anything about the current state of their relationship. Ok, I'm mostly kidding, but I'm more serious about the monkey one. What's up with Dan's "you can't have anyone else in your life if you already have this intimate non sexual relationship"? Or with Phil's "spoon, watch some Game of Thrones and sleep in separate bedrooms" which sounds too reel? Or, for that matter, with Dan's incredulous "you went there" gaze when he's saying that? Also, I'll have you notice that marriage is apparently full of drama and tears for Dan.
I mean, it's not unrealistic to continue living with your former SO if you're still best friends with them (I refuse to believe deppy weren't a thing in the beginning), neither is not being in a relationship for several years in your 20s. The only thing I can't figure out if Phil's obsession with sex in the things like Sims (well, you know what I mean) is a sign of him having it regularly and that's why it's on his mind a lot, because it's normal for him, or on the contrary, it means he's feeling deprived (this is a thing I actually think about quite a lot I apologize to Dan, Phil - I hope they never see this - and to everybody reading this, it's 5 am, I just woke up after literally falling asleep into a pizza, what is my life)

I actually didn't interpret anything they said particularly seriously, and to me there was nothing that happened to significantly indicate "phan" or "no-phan".

To me, the "spoon, watch Game of Thrones and then sleep in separate beds" was nothing more than Phil not wanting to sleep in the same bed as a monkey. I don't really get how it says anything at all about Dan and Phil's sleeping habits, was it not just reflective of the idea that sleeping with a monkey is probably repulsive to most people? Cuddling one would be kind of cute, but who would want to actually sleep with it?

I think Dan saying Phil "can't have anyone else in [his] life" if he were to be in a relationship with a monkey (lmao at what I'm typing, what even) was pretty straightforward too - if Phil were to commit himself to a monkey (again, what the fuck am I saying) then he has no room in his life for another bf/gf (obvs polamory is a thing but I doubt they considered that, also again, I am judging myself for every word I type right now). Whether you think "anyone else" refers to Dan (being someone who believes dnp are together, I do) or just any hypothetical partner is up to interpretation I guess.

tldr; It's not that deep in my opinion, and I didn't immediately relate Phil's answer to that question to he and Dan's love life (which is surprising, as I connect most things to their love life).
