i'm forcing myself to expect a ditl, australian vlog, or new merch announcement so i don't get my hopes up but i'm secretly praying for a new project announcement or moving announcement (@god pls come thru)

I'm in camp Keep My Expectations Low. But Dan is certainly making it difficult with that tweet! Because the question "What are Dan and Phil up to?" seems to address more than just traveling, since they've been posting about that a lot..... Which would suggest moving I guess? Or a secret project? Or the fact that they're really robots? Who knows to be honest, but I've got a full day of classes ahead of me and am going to do my best to not think about it and assume it will be nothing big.

Also, I was too stressed with my life to respond to the great discussion happening on here earlier, but I agreed with a lot of things that were said and was also given a lot great things to think about, especially by fancybum. I don't think I'd have anything unique to contribute at this point, but I just wanted to say great thoughts everyone!

Also, you're right that the possibility they're moving their filming space into that new office space seems...scarily attainable at this moment. That will certainly make me sad if that is the case. All the most reason to keep low expectations.

I'm also trying to keep my expectations low, but finding it a bit tough. Hope they will post their vid soon, so we won't have to wait for hours to find out.

Unlurking just to mention that they usually use Dan's channel to reveal projects (I believe) so I think it is either DITL or moving. Probably DITL.

The second I saw the tweet I thought it'd be either a DITL in Singapore or the moving announcement.
If it is a moving announcement I fully expect myself to cry tears of joy. I know that's extra but I am invested in this.

i'm hoping for a ditl, but i think the phrasing would be a bit weird for that? "what are they up to" would be strange to say about something that has already happened, and "[the single symbiotic entity that is deppy] seems more dead than usual" would only make sense with respect to the jetlag, which we haven't actually seen.

in other news, phil still hasn't retweeted the promo for his own channel, does that mean he's not in london with dan?

the "no live show until next week?" part makes me suspect that it will be the moving announcement.. a ditl in singapore wouldn't explain that. If they are back in london, they could do a live show but I assume that they are too busy for that.

As much as I am very excited about whatever it is they're going to announce but also, I'm going to quote something I saw dizzy say on tumblr the other day:

Aim low, avoid disappointment.

It's not going to be a moving announcement.

shit that would actually be really clever...they know their audience is attached to the flat, so that way they'd forestall the outcry of desperation that'd probably happen if they just said "yeah we moved you'll never see the old apartment again bye"...but then they'd also announce moving and wrap up the annual ditl...and it wouldn't be expected of them to upload another ditl so soon after that one...so they could casually settle in the new apartment, let us get used to the new video backgrounds, and then just "forget" to make a new house tour...it all makes sense
