Any idea why D&P were drawn in Shay Mitchell's dml? Was it just a sneaky add in by the draw my life channel people to have more comments and discussion? I doubt she knows them as she's quite famous, but I guess she's also a youtuber so she might idk

My writing is uh, rather similar to Dan's don't judge me, and I'd suggest that the second line of 5 actually says 'and Tuesday'? In the pic below you can really see the 'T'. I think 5 might read '_____ ___ on Sunday (____ to close) and Tuesday'? I can see 'Being' as the first word, but wouldn't be 100% sure of it, and 6 could start with 'Who'?

The 'to close)' part at least seems pretty clear from the image below, and from that it also looks like the end of the first line of 6 ends with ' to do lots'? You can see him joining an 's' like that in the 2nd pic under the spoiler. also the end of 4 looks like a 'th', supporting that it might be 'month' rather than 'week'.

Everything is becoming less and less clear the more I stare though, so I'm gonna have to submit now before I talk myself out of it all.

If you are correct about number 5, it might refers to liveshows? Phil is on Sunday and Dan is on Tuesday. It makes sense to me because the theme of the rules is mostly about work ethic.

Sorry I'm not much help and can only bounce off the ideas.

Maybe they are her youtube senpais? I mean, you can see one character from Steven Universe, and totes alot more people I don't recognize, so maybe her inspirations are there? idk, they look cute in that drawing tho.

Thanks for your insights! Yeah, I agree with "to do lots" and "month." For "to do lots," the question is, what word follows that? Generally one does lots of something or other, but the next word is clearly sort of long.

Also, now that you suggest "and Tuesday," that's all I can see. I'm like 90% sure that it's "and ___day," at least.

My original theory was that #5 was something about a filming schedule. Like, "_____ film on Sunday (ready to close) and ____day" or something. I also pondered, "Doing shit on Sunday etc. etc."

"to close)" does look fairly clear. The problem is that I don't know what "close" would mean. Also I don't know whether it's close as in "danger is close at hand" or close as in "close the door."

So much to ponder. I know what you mean about it getting more and more unclear the longer I stare at it.

I'm like 80% sure rule #5 has something to do with laundry. I think you are right about rule #6, that's why they signed their names. They are most likely agreeing/promising to follow the rules. It will be kind of weird if it was just all rules and just their signatures at the bottom.

I don't think that she knows them, from what I read from some old site she is an actress that is playing the youtube game with people behind that know the rules, so probably she knows what it means to put deppy in it.(even if it's not impossible that she met them once)
I don't care about her but I would love to know if D&P were ever invited to a fashion show and if they went to it.

Regarding 'Sunday' and it probably referring to Phil's liveshows: didn't he use to do them on Saturday? (I don't know for sure, I've only been around for about a year, but I think he used to do liveshows on Saturday and then changed the day to Sunday. I might have dreamt this, so don't take it too seriously).

And also, in the 'To do' list that appeared in an old Dan video. In Phil's part of the board it says Channel Flip (I don't know how to put the image here, it's in Part 3 page 39). Any thoughts about that? Does anyone know how long have they been with Channel Flip for? And why is it only in Phil's part of the board? (I assume there are three lists: Dan's list which is quite long, Phil's list and a common list (radio 1 and vyou) but I could be completely wrong).

We do need image-processing software for this, although I'd probably not be able to read it even if I had the sheet of paper in front of me(!) I could only just about read the PINOF notes/questions in TABINOF, and we all know what they were! The dream journal? No idea what most of that says. Fuck's sake Dan.

Looking at old dates, it seems like during this era Phil's liveshows were on Thursday nights.

Also Dan's first liveshow was on July 10, 2012, and the DITL is in March 2012. So it's probably not actually anything to do with liveshows.

Ahh, I loved the liveshow thought swofro but annetamiau is right. I even went back to look at the dates of the 2012 liveshows in case he had done Sundays initially, then changed to Saturday when they were doing the radio show, then changed back, but no, with a few scattered ones it was mostly Saturdays back in Manchester! They actually didn't do many liveshows back in Manchester, either - Phil only started doing them in May 2012 and they moved in July.

Good question! I don't know about that, but I think the fourth word might be 'any'? If it is three letters long (could be four!) there are only a limited number of words that short which end with a letter that drops below the line like that, and if the word after that is 'reason' then 'any reason to do lots' does make sense. I also saw 'requires' as the word after that for a split second, which could make some degree of sense in 'any reason to do lots requires'?

OR, just had a sudden thought: could 'lots' actually be 'less', making it 'any reason to do less requires', which is (half) a sentence which actually makes sense! And as a final rule it could be some way of negotiating exceptions, which also makes sense! (having been majorly excited by that thought, the longer I look at lots/less the more that third letter really is quite tall, but it could just be a mark on the board?)

The new image is a great summary! No idea what it says under The Rules but would agree it's in brackets, and I'm not 100% on whether the number in 4 is 1 or 2, but I guess that doesn't really matter. I agree about the quotes in 6 too - and could the word in them read 'begin(s)'? Not sure that makes sense with the 'less' idea, but I've been writing this post up for like half an hour now and really need to get back to revision!

Some ramblings about the "blah blah blah 1 blah a month" but (assuming that's what it says):

I was considering that maybe it said something like, "go to Town 1 time a month," but then it occurred to me that sounds super unnatural in English; it would be weird to say "1 time" instead of "once." This makes me think that it most likely says, "blah blah [transitive verb] 1 [noun] a month" or "blah blah blah 1 [duration of time, like hour] a month." tl;dr: it probably doesn't say "1 time," which no one was even suggesting

Other various comments on The Rules:

For #5, could it possibly be "______s finish on Sunday (ready to close) and Tuesday"? Idk what would "finish" / be "ready to close" but maybe there's some plural noun that fits there. Alternately, maybe it could say, "Being finished on Sunday..." but it doesn't look like "finished" to me.

The "close" part really perplexes me. I also have started to wonder: what if he meant to write "too close" and just mixed up "to" and "too"??? We can never totally trust Dan's grammar.

Could the first word of #6 be "Whoever"?? Or maybe "Whatever"? Could it be " Whatever/Whoever "else" "?

I think it looks more like "lots" than "less"...before the "lots" suggestion I was seeing "later" or "ltr." I think there's clearly a tall letter of some kind in there.

As for the bit right under the title, could it possibly be "[& ____]"? Or "[to follow]"? I really have no idea.
