This is so cute WTF!!! Just the concept that they all gather to watch Eurovision together like they do the Oscars. I love this foursome so much.
Also Dan being on the Lester Family Vacation has given me so many feelings. In combination with the fact that he isn't hiding it, much like he didn't hide Phil's birthday week in IoM.... I'm so pleased with Dan and Phil these days.

English speakers have always had a hard time using "X and I" vs "X and me" correctly, even though they have no trouble using standalone "I" and "me" correctly (hint: the rules are exactly the same). Lol!!! I like how half of my Tumblr feed is people posting about Eurovision and the other half is people reblogging that are watching Eurovision together.
After extreme giddiness (and a bit of smugness), I am now very content in the knowledge they are all together and comfortable enough to share that, however subtly.
Because I'm new, I had just assumed Dan vacationed with them regularly, with a few exceptions (like when Dan hosted the Radio One show alone). I get why so many people we're pessimistic about him staying. I guess my ignorance kept me optimistic. I really could not imagine Dan going back home alone (though watch now he'll leave early next week).
Kinda wish Dan would just generally tweet his thoughts about the Eurovision songs instead of replying to people so I can see him in my timeline but it's great to see him interacting so much!
(I'm probably the only European that isn't watching the ESC, haha! I'm more of a hockey person anyway.)
After this absolutely horrible day, it made me so emotional to find out all this cute stuff about them still being in Florida and just, I'm so happy they aren't hiding things and just.... letting go and doing what ever they feel like doing. i hope they're having the best time together with the whole Lester fam.

ohhh this is super interesting, thanks for sharing! i didn't know that adjustment of status or applications could take so long to process so i suppose it is possible that under a short timeframe leaving the country is the fastest option for that? it's interesting that the uk's status in the VWP doesn't seem to matter here? and i wonder if extension of stay under the p-1 could be applied for more quickly than changing visa status to a tourist visa from the work visa. confusing lol! thanks again for clarifying and sharing your own experience!
I know Michelle Visage and Ross Mathews are hosting a Eurovision viewing/commentary thingy for Americans so it's totally possible they can watch it here (although I'm not sure if it's in "real time" or delayed). Also I'M SUCH A DEMON PHANNIE RIGHT NOW OH MY GOD. I love how Dan was vague and subtle about being with the Lester's but casually posted a picture with Phil's arm in the corner. I think that's their new approach with everything regarding their relationship which I absolutely love. It takes away the hype but they don't have to actively hide it, I'm sure being that closeted for that long was straining on themselves and their relationship.
(Also Dan using "Phil and I" incorrectly... I know all my posts are horribly written because I don't edit anything but the journalism major in me is SCREAMING at him for that mistake..)
But wow Dan and Phil stayed with Martyn and Cornelia in a fancy couple's suit in Miami then went on the Lester's family trip... God bless 2017. Heaven knows we've earned it after the travesty that was 2016.

I thought dan was just being a troll because he always says 'me and phil' during liveshows when it should be 'phil and I' but idk, misspellings and grammatical errors are part of the Daniel Howell branding.
Also I have no comment on any of this it's taking me so long to process these Deppy developments....I've seen this fandom through it all and I never thought this is where we would end up
also the wirrow tweet has me hard core smiling, they're what the fantastic four wishes it was
holy shit, I was searching for fanfiction and actually wrote Daniel Howell instead of Dan Howell and was so confused at the lack of results for a solid 5 seconds (having to type it in to twitter everytime I want to see his tweets has really familiarised me with the name)

watching them watch eurovision has been the highlight of my day today, tbh. i've been pretty busy and stressed lately so their cute little tweets have really been cheering me up.
also i wouldn't be surprised if he used the wrong grammar just to mess with us at this point, with how much everyone points it out in liveshows. or he just can't be assed, because same dan.

It has made me so happy to find out Dan is still in FL bc after the following Dan quote from MHP I was slightly worried he might have a secret gf.
"If you are--if anyone out here is like a crazy Justin Bieber fan or Harry Styles fan or anything like that, don't choke anyone if they like bring a secret g--horse loving girlfriend to a gig."
I guess he is actually worried the Dan girls would choke Phil. Or maybe he does actually have a choking kink and is hoping they will.

To me that quote was actually a hilariously perfect example of how far Dan will go to make sure that the audience knows that he is not referring to himself; he know that's the behavior of fans but he picked two specific other large fanbases to reference, not his own.
So that didn't worry me at all - but I"m still quite pleased that Dan is enjoying his trip with the Lesters.

I was watching some videos of Dan and Phil meeting fans and I was wondering if anyone has any theories/ideas as to why Dan does the thing where he has one hand on the fans shoulder so they don't come too far in. I've always noticed it but never quite thought about whether or not there was a reason for him doing it (to keep himself seperated from the person slightly? idk)

I think it's probably because Dan himself doesn't want tight hugs, and there are fans who would be likely to just latch on tight - but also possibly good media training. Phil often does a version of the same thing, or he hugs with both arms but leans in with his upper body only. With a definite distance between them, it's a good way to make sure that no one thinks Dan or Phil (as adult men) are enjoying being close to young girls/women in any kind of inappropriate way.
