Okay, I noticed two things from this graph, first that there's a severe drop off point of people discovering them in 2016 and an even larger one in 2017. Some of this can be granted to the amount of time that people go from being casual to a phan, and the amount of time it takes for someone to take that leap and stumble across this survey. However, I do wonder if 2015 really was their peak and if they are in a steady decline in terms of new subscribers? Their new subscribers and followers on Twitter don't seem to be dedicated fans, they all seem to just be casuals and there for the popularity of deppy's videos/tweets. Not because they actually like their content, but because there's compulsion to following a twitter/youtube account with a large subscriber count.malday wrote:Interesting that Phil has more long-time subscribers that have stuck around than Dan?

Also, I know that a lot of the results of this survey is kind of positive for Phil fans, but let's be honest most of the people who took this survey have been in the phandom for a while and found this on tumblr or through friends this doesn't exactly cover the entirety of the phandom and only the extremely dedicated. I kind of see some results as needed to be taken with a grain of salt, as I'd see people voting for Phil rather than Dan on popularity posts so that he doesn't feel left out.
