I wouldn't. I love Dan and Phil's solo content as much as their content as a duo. If that happened, and it can happen, the best friendships/relationships can end, I guess they'd need to do a lot of rebranding though because the Dan and Phil duo brand is so big. But no, I wouldn't stop watching either of them unless they started feuding each other or anything like that. (Imagine that though, what a wild idea. :?)

I think how you answer this question might actually have to do with when you started watching them? I found them before "Dan and Phil" was really a brand, back when they still insisted on not being a double act so seeing them as seperate Youtubers comes naturally to me. But if you only started watching when they already had this inseperable brand going you might feel differently because that's all you know.

Because if whoever sent him those mystery packages stumbled across his video on YT, couldn't they just release his address on the internet for 5 seconds of fame?

This then led me to think about all the takeaway food we know they get delivered to their apartment, and i presume they still get their groceries delivered. What if one of the delivery-people recognized them? (Grocery delivery is especially intimate, since often the deliverers will bring the bags straight into your kitchen for you.) Or what if someone processing the order recognized their names and saved the address to go stalk later?

Obviously d&p aren't hugely famous, but do you think they consider this/ever feel nervous about it/take precautions with fake names? (I'm now wondering this for other, bigger celebrities. how do they get packages/make online orders/get delivery without the risk of exposing where they live??)
I have had the exact same thoughts as well (both mail and food delivery). I'd be curious to hear everyone's opinion.
I think they'd take precautions - I think anything YouTube related would be sent to IRL especially now. Like I see them having a clear separation especially since their move between 'Dan and Phil', and the regular Dan Howell and Phil Lester. I can see all of their everyday business stuff being dealt with in one place. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a PO box either tbh, I could see them setting one up when they did TATINOF/definitely before they moved.

However I really cannot see any delivery driver I've ever had giving enough of a shit to stalk people, especially as it could land them in serious trouble.

Most delivery drivers are men and definitely older then 16... I don't think they really care about two random guys who make videos pandering to teenage girls...
sorry if I come off a bit wanky

I don't know about laws in other countries, but out here every person that deals with customer data (such as names and addresses) has to sign a paper where they promise never to leak that information elsewhere, or they can get sued. My company is super uptight about this and people get fired for as much as leaving a piece of paper on their desk, if it contains customer info.
Maybe something like that?

And for bigger celebrities, I suppose either everything gets sent to a different address and then an assistant brings it over, or it's not made known that that person lives under that address?
I don't know what the laws are here, but even if there isn't an explicit law for things like this, I'm fairly certain it's considered bad taste to put up information like this online. I work sort of kind of indirectly with customer information and even for me it's stipulated in my contract that I'm not allowed to share information I learn at work online. So like, at best it would be really bad taste and bad for the business' reputation if an employee was to spread that kind of information.

Dan and Phil have spoken about ocado deliveries, take out deliveries, taxis that come to pick them up, parcel delivery and service people coming to do work where they live. It's likely that someone at some point has recognised them, and that maybe even just someone on the street has seen them getting home/leaving the house, but I actually think most people have enough respect to not go online and post about it. Or maybe I'm giving people too much credit.

Also, since it's somewhat relevant, I remember a few years ago people got talking in the One Direction fandom because someone delivered food to Harry's house and saw Alexa Chung and Grimmy at his house, and the girl who delivered talked about it online I think? But no-one ever spoke about where his house was (aside from general area in the city). Then again, Harry's house is like the worst kept secret. Even I know it and I don't go looking for these things ever.

I really enjoyed that. Especially when Dan was finally done with his rant about people not understanding that he was just joking around when they played this previously. He really does not take it well when people assume he doesn’t know stuff.
Phil just so casually telling us that he hit a badger while driving made me laugh  , I’m not a good person.
I really like them playing this game, and would most definitely be okay with them playing it again.

That was cute, they got so many places that looked the same, so many tree-lined roads, you just get a vibe of where you are most of the time, the signs aren't usually very helpful. Dan made some good faces at the end, it's cute when he makes his eyes wide.

Brilliant video, the bantz were on point today. :D Dan was in a bit of a mood maybe but but it actually worked out 'cause it was greatly entertaining and Phil had me dead singing a censored version of Horny.

Such a nice video! I liked when Phil called dan 'danny pops'. Also did Phil ever tell that story with the badger before? And was it him actually driving or was this on tour? I'm new here so I was just wondering.

That Joe and Caspar interview was interesting and funny when you compare them to Dan and Phil. When they talk about how buying a house is a smart move, I can't help but wonder when Dan and Phil will (did. in march...). Is it weird for other youtubers to see them moving into their third house together, when they know the stress of living and working together? How do deppy actually manage that, too bad they never really talk about that stuff. Even that's private, I guess.

GeoGuessr was fun, I already love the the last episode. I'm on board if they want to do it more.

And as far as what is their end game for Youtube, i don't think they know. They might have some vague plans (like going into production and expanding the merch store). Didn't Dan say something like that they are the first generation of online creators and everybody is just waiting to see what happens next. And Phil say (jokingly tho) that they will still do pinof every year? I can imagine them being like 70 and only publishing one video a year, pinof 60 or smth :D (like, if internet still exist).
You should never go to sleep on an argument.

Some videos immediately make me want to scream into the void about how much I love Dan and Phil. This was one of them. They're so cute and endearing and lovable and stupid.

And honestly? I should have known with Dan's "That was a great intro" @ 0:14.

What a gem.

But honestly they ended up in a town like 30 miles from mine?? It was weird to see my town on their map because I live in such a random, middle of nowhere, inconsequential place.

When I first saw the UK country lane one, I really thought it was in my village, it was spookily similar!!

Lovely enjoyable video...GeoGuessr has already become one of my favourite gaming series. I would like them to do a golf one though, please don't forget guys!

One of those videos that I could tell would be a good one from ten seconds in
Kinda thought it'd be another Yasuhati Singing Challenge from the first few words of the title. I guess they need to reapply the soundproofing tiles first.
I loooooved this! Aggghh it's so frustrating when you're put in a frickin' massive country like Russia or the US - you can have the right country but be wrong by thousands of miles. Or if you see a sign in Portuguese and it's Brazil, not Portugal. I guessed Belarus right though, no idea how
(I've been to Ukraine and the trees look very similar, and last time they guessed Ukraine it was actually Belarus, so yeah.)
Applause to Danny for getting the country of the language he puts on his merch right lmao (in no way do I intend to start a fight here, just thought it was funny)

The video was quite amusing but the jokes got a bit repetitive. I'd like to see them play some new games, maybe try out a longer series. I really enjoy The Escapists so maybe when the new one is released (i think it's early access at the moment) they will play that.
sorry if I come off a bit wanky

... but I'm probably right you know
