Dan and Phil got a mention on The Media Podcast by none other than Faraz Osman who called them "two of the biggest talents in the world" :insert continued illuminati triangle here:

I'm saving that second gif for my personal folder

Breaking the dick talk to wonder if Dan escaped the GOT spoilers and went to the Barbican too or not. I guess we'll know tomorrow, if he'll talk about it in his liveshow.

I'm also in need of some golf action soon. I'm like an addicted, the more they give us the more I want. Sigh.

Idk my dudes, it's not like we're messaging him and going "SHOW US YOUR DICK", to me it's like a joke between friends like "lolz here comes phil and his possibly giant dick~"

The talk with Osman seemed really nice. It's good to know that not only did he watch the interview with Dan, Phil, and Sue but he also thought that they touched on important points. I haven't commented on the interview but I've watched it three times already mainly because it's nice to hear their opinions and insight into how they view their place on the platform. I liked hearing that someone who was there, not as a fan, also enjoyed the discussion.

That's kinda funny, as we went through a door from the corridor outside the panel room to that large space with the sparkly YouTube logo, Rick Edwards was at a table just past the door with a few other people, laptop in front of him. Thanks for the links, will have to check them out later.

lol bless y'all. as if us making some silly jokes about the presence or absence of a dick is somehow more invasive than us dedicating hundreds of thousands of words speculating about their personal lives--including closely held shit like, oh, their sexualities, romantic and familial relationships, their business choices and y'know, their weight, their health, their mental states.

I think someone suggested it before, but listening to that podcast, especially the part about getting new talent out there, i agree with the idea that the thing they did in February that we "might or might not see" was a pilot for a show they are trying to pitch.

Deleted scenes from the React videos, there's a bit of Dan and Phil - especially a particular fond look from Dan at 1:01 <3

This is something I was so hoping to see.

I was saying this last week to a friend and I still believe it now. Them agreeing to do this Festival in Edinburgh was a way to sell themselves as entertainers to a lot of people who work in the business. They showcased bits of their career and funny moments demonstrating why they appeal to 6 mil+ people. They talked in detail about their dedication to building up their audience and sticking with their fans. They spoke about how they appealed to an audience that is not only Uk based but worldwide. They boasted slightly about their career with the BBC, Brits awards etc and how they can sellout tours. Showing that they are able to work alongside older media.

And above all they proved that they weren't just two lazy idiots messing about on the internet (a common misconception from people who don't understand YouTube in general). But that they are two very intelligent young men who put a lot of effort and dedication into the content they create and know how to run their own business.

Even people in media attending or watching that vid who'd have had little to no clue on who they were would at least be intrigued by them now, and they've certainly left an impression on others.

I'm just saying that if they are trying to sell a new project that the interview was a pretty ingenious piece of PR on their side.

I have yet to listen to the podcast but I've been thinking, is it possible that maybe dan and Phil were hired as influencers for youtuber talent? As in a company(lemonademoney) hired them to talk to the industry about how the internet is shaping the future of entertainment. Companies do that all the time and considering Dan and Phil have done many different fields in the industry as it is, I'd say they're a bit more than qualified to talk to the industry about it.
What if the thing in February was some kinda private media event that they did that was recorded but they're unsure if we'll ever see it?
I only say that because, listen as much as I love dan and phil, I just can't see them making a show, like what would it even be about? I mean it's possible, but I'm still a bit unsure
Edit: lol, bookfiend said all this better than I did for the most part.

rizzo wrote: Mon Aug 28, 2017 6:57 pm In fairness, we wouldn't analyze bedrooms, develop moving conspiracies, judge haircuts, question travel timing, or discuss someone's sexuality on the street either.

I can see how this can make some people uncomfortable, but in my (very personal) opinion, it's really no different than anything else we've done or discussed. Phil wore some very loose, unforgiving shorts in a live show and a conversation occurred much like it would if we suddenly saw a tuft of chest hair again.

i think the difference here is that they choosehow much of their living arrangements, haircuts, familial relations they share with us and we rarely get things by accident - and when we do, like with some moving or travel things, people do express discomfort over those being talked about too much because while it is a forum with speculation, a lot of us do feel things like family or mental health cross a line. talking about parts of someone's body that they chose not to intentionally show and speculating over it when you accidentally get a glimpse, whether or not it's in jest, creeps me out massively. i know they are used to it on twitter and stuff but that's why i avoid those places, being the topic of sexualised discussions over videos or photos of you taken when you were unaware or when that was not the intent is really gross and idk, i kind of thought idb was a little above that kind of stuff? ah well

i never even thought about this before lol, that makes sense. i wonder what it'd be like, what the demographic would be... they have a lot of show potential but idk what would actually play out well

especially because their interview has exponentially more views than anything else on the festival's channel, lol. I looked at the comments on the video a few days ago when i finally had a moment to watch it and i was sort of impressed by how (some of the) viewers were engaging with the questions posed. if anyone is interested, there was a panel comprised of people who work in television discussing ~why young people don't watch tv~. the contrast is astounding.

i didn't expect to come back to dick talk, how thirsty are y'all hoes for content?

i'm skedaddling as far away as possible till it's done - just like i find dicussions of their weight, mental health etc. invasive, this is one of the things where i don't fancy edging over the line. it's the kinda thing where if we were doing something similar for a girl it'd be considered incredibly rude and inappropriate, yet people are fine with doing it for lads which is :/

so i'll shimmy away until a new vid comes out (praying for a golf with friends, man).

Uh okay well in more boring non-dick-related news (..maybe, I don't know what you personally do with your tea towels and I am not here to judge), those tea towels with little doodles by D&P and other YTers from Project For Awesome last year finally shipped. So.. that's a thing..

really though how is full on teeth-shaming better than very nonchalantly acknowledging a dick's existence the world makes no sense but sure
edit: my bad I'm insulting the wrong person and therefore this comment makes no sense lmao but I'll leave it to self-shame

jesus christ you guys are something else  . not gonna lie i did leave idb after seeing that gif, i just had to nope out of the situation, i'm not a fan surprise penises.

but as for whether or not it's okay, most of the people here have probably read some sort of fanfiction where phil does some rather... urr interesting things with said penis at least once (cue someone being like "well i've never read fanfic because i think its weird and invasive" congrats. your trophy is on its way through the mail) so simply mentioning the fact that "oh phil has a penis, it was slightly visible" doesn't seem that weird to me but thats just my opinion :/
