I loved your analysis! The dream having an overall theme of facing your fears seems spot on to me. I'm a firm believer that more often than not your dreams mean something. (In my experience dreams are brought on by something going on irl.) Phil sure gave us a lot to analyze with that one.whelpkeeper wrote: Thu Sep 21, 2017 11:40 pmDnP Insider was on to something after allI wonder if the NDA expires with it, what kind of tea will we get??

I mean does anyone younger than 50 ever actually call this generation "the iPhone generation"mintsans wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2017 3:45 amthis reads like it was written by an out of touch 50+ year old creative director in a PR agencycasualIDBstalker wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2017 12:10 am HelloWorld is to create the world's first fully immersive live show featuring the biggest online and social media talent from across the globe all under one roof.

Indeed. But I think "this generation" (by which I'm assuming we're referring to what I've been calling the post-Millennials) better come up with its own name fast. There's already a book out called "iGen"alch wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2017 3:53 amI mean does anyone younger than 50 ever actually call this generation "the iPhone generation"mintsans wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2017 3:45 amthis reads like it was written by an out of touch 50+ year old creative director in a PR agencycasualIDBstalker wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2017 12:10 am HelloWorld is to create the world's first fully immersive live show featuring the biggest online and social media talent from across the globe all under one roof.

I know that (I checked!), it's quoted in various websites that have covered the event so it's likely it's literally a press release (written by an older person in an agency), websites literally copy and paste stuff from the press releases they are given.casualIDBstalker wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2017 5:30 am Just so everyone knows, I didn't write the description for Hello World, it's from the website - I just copied & pasted it.
I'm glad that from my post, that's the thing people decide to comment on.

Regarding the 'family' thing: it was someone's birthday yesterday, but I'm not gonna mention whose though as he's obviously not very keen on talking much about his famAblissa wrote: Thu Sep 21, 2017 7:06 pm Dan's 'gone out to a family thing' and I'm crying because I'm curious and I'll probably never know.
On the upside, Phil seems quite energetic and happy
EDIT: "...and annoying my friends, and Dan" - I love that Phil puts Dan in a separate category from his friends.
No, I agree, but instead of including them in his conspiracy theories, he mentions them in like his recent video where he pays other people online to promote dan and phil and bashes himself (i think it's just shane's coping mechanism tbh) so i can see that's him thinking it's okay to do that but everyone, including dan, can see that differently.malday wrote: Thu Sep 21, 2017 3:03 pmThat's a very strange way of showing he feels sorry for exploiting them, because it just looks like he's exploiting them, again.smol beans wrote: Thu Sep 21, 2017 1:35 pm i love shane and have been watching him much longer than dan and phil but i don't like his conspiracy theories on them.
now that shane mentions them so often, i get a feeling that maybe he feels bad for "exploiting" them so this is his way of promoting how much he likes them and "means no harm". idk it just makes me wonder how dan feels about it since he too has watched shane as a viewer in the past.

. I think generation names are insidiously stupid, but at least "Millennial" is a pretty word, and "Generation X" was cemented as a name by a book written by a member of the generation.[/Offtopic]

Also, Tomska talked about being invited to YT Rewind in his last vlog. So, in that context, that's likely what it is.alittledizzy wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2017 1:29 pm I definitely think Youtube Rewind makes the most sense. It's something we know they do every year around this time, they're generally fine with us knowing that's what they were filming, and it's sometimes done in big groups with other youtubers. And excursion sounded more like a day trip than an extended one.

Well, there's actually no office in charge of coming up with stupid generation names. The post-Millennials are getting called "iGeneration/iGen/iPhone generation" because that's what old people are calling them in news articles and on book covers. So that's why I'm suggesting fighting back with better names--there's still time!blackdenim wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2017 1:22 pmLeftHandedism wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2017 4:10 am [Offtopic]Indeed. Technically 'this generation' is Generation Z, and 'Millenials' (me!) is just a nickname for Generation Y, since both of us follow on from Generation X. I think nicknames for Gen Z most often used are 'iGeneration' (barf!) and post-millennials, but yeah they already have an 'official name'. I wonder what the next Generation will be called since we're at the end of the alphabet already!
I think we all knew that. The wording is just such that it demands discussion! I would be surprised if dnp went to Hello World. It doesn't strike me as anything they'd even remotely be interested in, especially with a tagline like that.casualIDBstalker wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2017 5:30 am Just so everyone knows, I didn't write the description for Hello World, it's from the website - I just copied & pasted it.

i never really realized that, but now that you say it it reminds of that dream he had once where he accidentally killed a bunch of people on rollercoaster and the amusement park people punished him by sticking a pencil in his eye and he died. wow. think it was his video Worst Day Ever where he talks about it?alittledizzy wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2017 6:04 pm - Phil and his anxiety dreams. I'm still so fascinated by this, and fascinated by how this is one thing that he seems to feel open about sharing. I would honestly be fine if ten minutes out of every liveshow was just dedicated to Phil telling us what he's dreamt about lately. The fact that most of them that we actually know about involve Phil having some measure of responsibility and failing/putting people he cares about in danger - and then the one from Scotland with Dan and Dan's mum? Or the one with the cat in the oven? If I had enough free time I'd try to pinpoint those dreams with things going on in their lives/Phil's life then.
